Human crying can be tough to watch, but there’s a special kind they do when they’re suddenly happy – and I mean very happy and through and through – and that kind of crying isn’t what you’d call easy to watch but it’s a thing of beauty. There was lots of that kind of crying when we brought Zach and Luis home.

(From The Numbers After Two, the new digital Chet and Bernie short story. There’s only one way to get it – unless you’re a talented hacker – and that’s to preorder the upcoming C&B novel, Tender Is The Bite. Then the short story will pop into your in inbox July 6, pub date, maybe when you’re in a reading mood!)

    Good day all!
Wow, July is flying at us. Book and short story all at once. Mom is so happy that she would wag her tail if she had one.

Rio! I love the look of pretty flowers but usually buy a hanging basket for the season. I do not have a green thumb at all.

WATP, we have the same list of dog related books. AllanRussell books are very good but much more intense. I also really like the series by JK Brandon. Very different (dogs talk to each other but not to humans) but I still really like them. Have you read any of them? They really should be read in order.

Boo Bear’s Mom. Agreed on Alan Russell but they are very well written. He has a couple of non-dog books in a short series titled The Hotel Detective and The Fat Innkeeper, which are also a lot of fun and a little quirky.

Further to last posting. I have not read the Brandon books but they sound good and I will check them out. And of course for those feline afficianados, there is Laura Levine and the Jaime Austen series.

Boo!…(the only Kat I like along with Blu-Kat), My friend also has started 2 big barrels of Zinnias and 1 barrel of white daisies. Both are coming along very nicely. The daisies took hold last year and we are both sure they will be bloomin’ madly this summer…snorkel!…Zinnias are very hardy. This year she planted dwarf zinnia seeds just to see how dwarf they really are. Both barrels have many new plants popping up so far….chuffle!…They are so delicate she has to water them with a spray bottle till they become teenagers…grunt!…Also she covers them at night with plastic which has a greenhouse effect to keep them safe and warm…wuffle!sneeze!

The movies was a wet rag compared to his wonderful book…snort!…This new one is called “Project Hail Mary”, also set in deep space…zow!…I can’t wait till we can get tucked into this adventure…wheeze!

WATP! I have read the non dog related books be Allen Russell. I also liked them enough to hope for more in that series. Try the Howl Series from JK Brandon. I’d like to know what you think.
