We had a big old thunderstorm at 5:30 this morning. Almost a gully washer.

The first peony blossom of the year! We have about a dozen peony bushes in our back yard, and every year, this blossom on this particular peony is always the first to open.

Well, I stayed up until 5am watching the coronation live. Do not regret it. I wasn’t that impressed with Andrew Lloyd Webber’s piece but I liked the John Rutter and there were some other really nice pieces in the service. The mix of old and new was nice and I enjoyed the commentary on the history of various bits.
