How To

We’ve had a number of questions re how the Tender Is The Bite promotion works. Answers:

It applies to preorders (meaning prior to July 6) of Tender Is The Bite, the next Chet and Bernie novel, in hardcover or digital form.
Once preordered, save receipt.
Go to the link below and fill in the blanks.
On July 6, the special short story written just for this will pop into your inbox. It’s called The Numbers After Two. (I kind of like it!)
And voila! Also, for those new to C&B, this series can read in any order! Don’t be afraid!

Guys, I need some help. I’ve preordered the new book and am trying to upload a photo of the receipt to the the promotion. I didn’t receive any acknowledgment that it was accepted. How do I know if it worked? I never received the last e book through its promotion and don’t want it to happen again. I’m working on an iPad and am probably doing something wrong. Any suggestions gratefully accepted.

BooBear’s Mom. I can’t remember if I got a confirmation or not, although I think I did. I would just suggest trying again and see if you get a receipt/acknowledgement.

This is Franklin with his green ball. Fun, fun, fun.

BooBear’s Mom, I did get an acknowledgment. I used my phone with the link and that worked easily, which surprised me. I’m usually tech challenged.

WTAFP, thank you for sharing your puppy. Each day is surely a new adventure.

Rio, I finished the book. No Spoilers! It’s the story of a cosmic mission and includes a couple of intriguing plot twists as well as laughter and a few tears. Thought-provoking indeed.

Now you’re making me paranoid. After missing the last e-book now I think maybe I should do it again, just to make sure I get it this time. I remember there was already one time where it didn’t arrive and I ended up with a PDF instead of an e-book.

Just sat down for the first time in too many hours. My guests leave in the morning so tomorrow is cleaning day.

My wonderful foster kitty, Lucky, was adopted by a wealthy, widow who is looking for a cat who is dog-like in devotion and companionship. Lucky was a great match and she is know living in a 5,000 square foot gorgeous house. Her luck in life continues.

I am worrit about Sadie. She didn’t interact with the guests and she is not wagging her tail much these days. She lies on the floor and just seems to be old and tired. She used to at least great the day with happiness but not lately. Sob.

Hobbit. How old is Sadie? She’s kinda large, right?

Don’t dismiss that she may be in pain. Dogs hide it well. I didn’t realize Ramses was in as much pain as he was until we ran out of the pain meds after some minor surgery. I requested an x-ray and some additional pain meds. They did meds but no x-ray until the meds stopped working even at higher doses. That’s when they found four basically destroyed discs in his back and bone cancer in his pelvis. He died two weeks later.

So don’t ignore it. Ramses hid it until he couldn’t hide it any more. And the vet not doing that requested x-ray until it was way too late meant that he didn’t get treatment for his back he could have had. I sure would have given him a lot more pain meds and sooner to make his life much more comfortable.

    If only they could talk.

It could be many things. Maybe just some acid reflux that a little omeprezole would help. It could be arthritis and some doggy NSAIDS would take the edge off for her. If you can, take her to the vet and see if they can find a reason for her sadness.

Love me some of that Franklin.
