Mrs. Plansky, packing for the journey that will change her life (and the lives of some others as well):

Shoes were always the problem. In the end she cut to the bone, taking only the pull-on low-heeled booties with the least tapered toes on the market; the warm quilted indoor-outdoor mules in black; and her Italian ballet flats, which she just had to have.

(coming July 25, preorders welcome)

Good day to all. Hope you are making the most out of this last day of May.
It still isn’t really summer like here but it seems to be trying.
We are looking forward to the new books coming out.

Rio: Tell Friend that we can pick the two of youse up in the Beausmobile for some relaxing time. Nothing like painting the town tie dye and plaid to heal the soul.

Shoes take up a lot of space. When I pack, I pack a week ahead. Then I unpack and repack at least two more times, eliminating more and more until I get it down to the bare necessities. After all, if you forget your toothbrush or toothpaste, you can always buy some wherever you’re going unless it’s camping out where there are no stores. I actually save up worn out underwear so I can wear them once and then discard them, thus freeing up even more space as I go along. Souvenirs are much more fun than underwear.

So, HOH, that was a round about way to get back to TN.

It’s been cool and overcast here and will likely continue for the next 10 days.

It’s International Hug Your Cat Day. If the cat permits of course.

If not, then sit down and have a Mint Julep.

Where did my post go? It said it was a duplicate but it’s not here.
