Cozies? I Don’t Think So.
Jersey shrugged. “Could be anybody.”
“Take your time,” Bernie said.
Jersey’s face twisted into an angry shape. “I hate when people say that.”
“No offense intended,” Bernie began, “I only – “
“I hate that whole mentality, unnerrstan’?”
“I do,” Bernie said.

Rose!…My friend was verrit busy today and very tired…snuffle!…So she did not get photoz of my little rustic looking house…snort!…But the painter came by and took photoz for her facebookie website which sort of upset my friend, as you can imagine…grunt!…My friend is very NON-Facebookie and sharing her personal information on that blasted platform….growl!…So she asked the painter to NOT post the house number or her cars license plate number. She took the photo when my subaru was in the garage and the door was open…grump!…People are soooo stupid. Really!…sniff!

Baseball!…snort!…We here LOVE baseball. It is the ONLY thing that has kept my friend sane this summer…grunt!..Too much trauma with Mother since March. Too much of everything not good…growl!…But when me and my friend sit down and watch our new baseball team play (and they are doing very well and will most likely be in the playoffs!!!!) we relax and remember what is important in life….snuffle!

They have so much talent on their team…gasp!…How can they all go in a Slump at the Same Time…I ask youse?..I have a baseball stomach ache….weeep!..I’m sure the only person who will understand this post is The Charming Mr Abrahams and my dear friend Rose…snorkel!…We three love baseball.

It is the Fall Equinox, the first day of autumn, although here you would never know it. We’re heading into another hot spell in the mid 80s. What we need is a National Weather Control Day. Oh, wait. That’s today too.
I went water walking at the gym pool today although the refreshment has already worn off.
I need to do laundry but I am procrastinating, having done several loads at my parent’s house and ironed around 300 yards of fabric in preparation for making my Mom jumpsuits and sun dresses for every day of the week. Plus a few for me.
Chet would be interested to know it is also National Snack Sticks Day. That sounds like Slim Jims to me.
Lastly, it is National Dogs in Politics day. I know that book (Paw and Order) has already sailed, but I say there is nothing like a dog to raise the level of politics. At least they don’t fight like humans. What bothers me about the little write up on National Today is that it is only about the First Dogs in the White House. We have many dogs that have be elected to office and fulfilled their duties admirably. Mostly they have served as mayors in small towns across the United States. Apparently this is a redundant thing in Rabbit Hash, Kentucky. Mayor Bosco of East Bay, CA ran against two human candidates and won. He kept his position for 13 years until his death in 1995. Just goes to show, in the dog eat dog world of politics, sometimes the best one for the job *is* a dog.
There were also two canines that served the U.S. Postal Service. Owney was a mascot but there was also Dorsey who was an official mail carrier for the U.S. Postal service in Calico, California.
