Chetspeak on Super Bowl Sunday

They were talking about sports? Sports: maybe the best idea humans ever came up with, in my opinion. Back when we were on the football case, I actually got into a real game! Bernie and I were right on the sideline, on account of we had to stay close to the blackmailer – it’s all coming back to me now, love when that happens – who turned out to be the assistant coach, yes, right on the sideline, close up to the action, when a punt happened, one of those punts down deep, whatever that means, but it’s the expression Bernie uses and he really knows football – played in high school, but dropped it when he went to West Point so he could concentrate on baseball – but forget that part, the point being that on the down deep punt the receiver stays away from the ball in the hope that it goes into the end zone, wherever that is, and meanwhile the other team tries to corral the ball, and footballs bounce in a crazy way, and when I see something crazy like that –

Good morning and Happy Sunday/Egg Day. Eggs and sausage here this morning.

I am going to watch the game and will cheer for Atlanta, just because they have only been to the S.B twice as opposed to 7 times for the Pats.

I also like the commercials and LOVE Lady Gaga who is entertaining at half time.

Wow what a fun puppy bowl. To adoptable puppies from Tennessee, The Australian Shepherd and a three Legged Lucky. There’s even a player named Dawson.

Hello Everyone–We are not paying much attention to other things here as I have to go back to work next week and am trying to compose myself after 6.5 weeks off. Also trying to recover from the dog-on-dope article from a few days ago (irresponsible pet parent, I calls it.)
BMALS–Thanks for letting us all see the beautiful–also a bit scary–ice sculpture.
HOH–Your father’s use of Roman numerals called back a distant memory from my very remote childhood. My brother couldn’t yet read, but knew letters and the Roman notation, so one day after looking at the stove asked what “O-Roman Numeral-E-N” spelled.
(On the other hand, the first time he saw a group of nuns in full habits and veils he said “Look at the angels!”)
(When he got bigger he smoked a lot of dope, not that that’s necessarily connected…)
I hope you all have a wonderful day and that both teams win, if necessary. I’m going to the library, or perhaps to watch the Puppy Bowl.

HOH, I really don’t know a thing about football. I just happened to hear that bit of info on the news.

Back. I am back from the 4 day quilt retreat. Mr. Staff had to make quite a few trips in and out with things I was returning to the house. Now I am feeling ready for a nap. The retreat was crowded with sick people but I wore my face mask and haven’t feel really bad so I hope this slight phlegm in my throat is nothing.
I am sure I will feel tip top after the nap.

Glad you all stayed healthy and happy during my absence. I appreciate it when you follow my requests. LOL

Still no internet for Beau, Riõ and friend? Paw crossed they don’t lose power too. If so, I’m sure they have a backup plan.

Hope Rio, Beau and Friend get their innernet before fur flies.
DianeC, chin up and be strong as you head back to the salt mines.

Mom neglected to leave the game on for us when she left for her party! She though the halftime show was good too. She smelled like all kinds of yummy food when she got home, but was a doggie bag involved? No, it was not. So unfair…
