Chet The Dog

“Charlie B came into my life when he was a year old as a rescue. His original owner did not have time for him and was going to take him to a local dog shelter. Thus, my life has never been the same. He was named after the casino slot machine called Buffalo. When we call for him we yell “Charlie Buffaloooooo”. He’s 34 pounds of all muscle. When he runs towards you, he hits you like a charging buffalo. He’s my BFF and he rarely leaves my side. Like most Boston Terriers he’s smart, stubborn, and very opinionated with a big personality……

Whenever he starts to bark at me because he can’t get my attention, he will continue to knockout whatever I have in my hand (book, phone, tablet) until I stop what I’m doing and say to him, “What do you want?” He will immediately move his eyes towards the upper left corner of his face, as if he has to think about it for a few seconds and then he stare into my eyes as if he’s trying to tell me what he’s thinking. I sometimes wonder who’s the real “alpha” dog in this house?

I always wanted to tell you how much I have thoroughly enjoyed reading your books. I especially love reading ‘Chet the Dog’ books through his eyes. It really makes me laugh……

PS— Charlie’s full name is Charlie Buffalo “Kick Ass” Cram. I thought the name his original owner given him (Harley Davison) sounded too aggressive.
