An Amazon Reviewer

On Bark To The Future:

“I wish there were more Chet and Bernie books. I’m sure Mr Quinn will be writing more but it”s hard to wait. I laughed out loud so many times at Chet’s narration. So funny and wonderful.”

(I’m afraid there were lots of technical issues with last night’s feed from The Poisoned Pen. Too bad – a certain someone was fairly entertaining, in that certain someone’s opinion.)

    Good day to everyone!
That certain someone is generally fairly entertaining and enjoyable to listen to at a booktalk. Certainly hope there will be more live talks with OFA.

    Greetings!

Like this review, and Spence is making me laugh.

RIO! I am thinking about your state’s fair, and fantasizing about having a pork chop on a stick… :^)

    Good afternoon to all!

Well, as predicted I missed the talk. I hope it’s recorded somewhere.

I was at my parent’s getting nothing done that I planned but taking care of what needed to be done. I spent a lot of my Mom’s money. The dishwasher was broken (since last week) so we bought another direct from Kitchenaid, $2000 and will be delivered next week so looks like I’ll be there on Wed to stupidvise the installation. I’m there on Monday to take my Mom to the hairdresser. Then I talked her into buying another Zoomer since the one I bought for her has been commandeered by my Dad so she never gets to use it. That’s another $2,000. I have no idea what the grocery bill was but it was six bags of food and drink of various types, plus tissue and laundry detergent so probably at least $200.

Yesterday was National Spoil Your Dog Day and I certainly tried. I brought over three long beef rib bones, raw and frozen from the butcher and after dinner let them all have one. Diana pawPrints, Freyja Grey and Dolly all exited to their respective corners and were amused for at least three hours. This on top of a day of play, pets from a “stranger” (they’ve only met Letty twice before) and many chicken strips from my Dad. The only thing I couldn’t manage was all of us going for a walk as it was too hot during the day and by the time I got home from the store I was just too tired.

I worked 8 hours including stripping the bed and two loads of laundry.

Then I came home at midnight and read Chet and Bernie until 6am. CURSE YOU SPENCER QUINN! You write way too well and I just couldn’t stop reading. After every chapter I looked at the clock and thought I really should go to sleep now. Then, well, just one more chapter. Now I’m up to eleven. And today I am sleep deprived. Too tired to go out so, I guess I’ll read a little more.

Mlaiuppa: Me too! OFA has kept me up all night before too. You’ll recover in a day or two, lol.

    OFA: Always entertaining.
