First, an announcement. My appearance at 5 ET today at RJ Julia Booksellers in Middletown CT has been postponed due to this storm we’ve got coming through today. I feel bad about it but with the wind and rain forecast there’s really no choice. I will be at Yellow Umbrella Books in lovely Chatham Mass. this Saturday from 1-3 ET.
And now – Last day of the month, meaning last day of eligibility for anyone who wants to be Chet’s December Friend of the Month to post a pic on the FB page. Winner gets to be the profile pic (where Samwise is now) and the winner’s human companion gets a signed copy of the latest Chet and Bernie mystery – in this case Bark To The Future. Thanks to everyone who braved the weather to come to last night’s talk at the beautiful Eldredge Library in Chatham on Cape Cod, and thanks to Yellow Umbrella for selling books. Still no power at home – briefly at a coffee place, with lots of people in the same boat.

Thursday Oct. 17, 7-8 PM, we’ll be talking and signing (books sold by Yellow Umbrella, the great Chatham book store) at Eldredge Public Library, 564 Main St. Chatham. Mass, 508-945-5170, eldredgelibrary.org. Down Cape, as we say, where the great whites must now be leaving for winter quarters.
