“Well?” says Spence. “I heard you watched the Copa Americana final last night, gave soccer another chance.”

Admin: I watched the scheduled 90 minute part, plus what they call stoppage time which tacked on another excruciating 8 or so. The score at that time was 0-0 and the star of the game was the referee, a snide and untrustworthy sort if I’ve ever seen one. I’m told the game ended a long time later on penalty kicks – a Red Queen sort of way to decide something that refuses to be decided.

Spence: So I’m guessing you’re back to being all done with soccer?
