5.0 out of 5 stars – Scents and Sensibility – April 2, 2017.
B. Wingrove on SCENTS AND SENSIBILITY:
Enjoyed the addition of Shooter. Hope there is more about him. I hope this isn’t the last of the series. I really love these stories.

Bernie knocked. Right away I heard Iggy start up on the other side. How I’d missed that amazingly high-pitched yip-yip-yip yip-yip-yip, a yip-yip-yipping Iggy could sustain all night if he wanted, and he often did! But now it was saying Welcome home, buddy! Let’s do something fun! Like dig up old man Heydrich’s lawn, old man Heydrich being our neighbor on the other side. Dig it up so it stayed that way! What a brilliant idea, especially coming from Iggy.

“Chet! What do you think you’re doing?”

Uh-oh. Possibly standing on my back legs, pawing at the door? Maybe more like clawing into it, somewhat deeply? If that was really happening I got it under control and pronto.

“I act white?” said Bernie when we were back in the car.

What was this? Bernie white, in some way or other? Couldn’t have been his skin, which was always nice and tan, in that reddish Bernie way. The truth is there’s not much color variety when it comes to humans, not compared to how we roll in the nation within. Take me, for example: mostly black but with one white ear, which I know on account of how many people mention it in my presence. Ever seen a human colored like me? The point is humans go on and on about skin colors when it isn’t even one of their strengths. And they have so many strengths: cars, tennis balls, bacon, and that’s just without even thinking, which is how my mind works best.

5.0 out of 5 stars – A Wonderful, Humorous Series – January 2, 2017.

Sarasota on SCENTS AND SENSIBILITY:
I have read every book in the Chet & Bernie series. Love “Chet the Jet” dog’s perspective on each situation & his devotion to Bernie. I’m so sorry that a new book hasn’t been released since Summer 2015. I feel like extended members of my family haven’t come for a visit & I miss them terribly. Other books just don’t have the same humor as this series. I hope one is released soon, so I can get my “fix” of Chet & Bernie.
