Got to do this quick, while I remember. Marley and Me – suddenly fresh in my mind, even though I haven’t seen it since who knows when. Anyway: Loved it! What a great movie! That Marley! A big guy, although maybe not quite as big as me. Remember when he ran off, dragging that restaurant table behind him? I did something just like that once, only it was a bike rack. And bikes were in it! Talk about commotion, and when the trash truck came along at the very same moment when … well, perhaps a story for another time. Where was I? Oh, yeah, Marley and Me. Great! Except at the end, which was sad, Marley lying on the cold metal table. I was lying on a cold metal table once myself. Don’t like to think of it to this day, not one little bit. The human star of the picture kind of reminded me of Dylan McKnight, Suzie’s maybe-maybe-not boyfriend. We don’t like him much, me and Bernie. Once I got Dylan McKnight to try climbing a tree backward. How much fun was that? I think it’s in Dog On It.

Got It!

Now I remember! I was going to post about Marley and Me! I remember that now, no problem, and will never ever forget. The new problem is I don’t remember much about the movie, nothing, in fact, except where I watched it, which was my usual place, on the nice soft rug in front of the TV. While I watched I had a biscuit or two, or perhaps  more, from Rover and Co. Have I mentioned Simon something-or-other? What a guy! He owns Rover and Co. I was in their test kitchen once, one of the best days of my life. That story may or not be in Dog On It.

I’m in a pretty good mood right now, except for this feeling of a possible problem gnawing at me. And uh-oh, I seem to be chewing on the leg of this chair. I’ll try to stop.

Bernie says a guy called Alfred Shaheen died. Maybe we’ll get to death some other time – like when we do the post for the Marley and Me movie. Was that supposed to be today? But the point is that Alfred Shaheen was a pioneer, whatever that means, of making Hawaiian shirts, and Bernie loves Hawaiian shirts. He’s got a bunch. Take away one, which got a little chewed up. Bernie doesn’t wear them every day, only on special occasions. Like when we clear a case, for example, which happened recently in this scary ghost town, name escaping me at the moment. Bernie says that Alfred Shaheen wanted his shirts to show what a melting pot Hawaii is. No clue what he’s talking about, but that one shirt with the red palm trees tasted not bad.

Kibble

This was supposed to be about Marley and Me but a day has passed, maybe two, or some number even beyond that where I don’t go, so the details are kind of hazy and instead this will be about kibble, since I just had a bowl. Very nice kibble, lamb-flavored, I believe – once I chased a herd of sheep, wow, what a day, and perhaps a story for another time – and I’m not complaining, but here in the nation within the nation, some of us (not me) tend to get kibble morning, noon and night.  The looks on those sheep’s faces! Where was I? Kibble? The point is would you want to eat the exact same thing over and over? No – and humans don’t. One of the great things about humans is all the different foods they’ve got, and so much! So why not share a bit with my guys?Personally, I like bacon the best, plus steak with A.1. sauce, but burgers are pretty good, too. Feel free to send me a burger at any time.
