“I jumped the gun yesterday,” Admin says.

“No harm done,” says Spence. “It’s like the Spanish Inquisition – who expects a leap day? But now we can safely say this is the last day to upload a picture to the Friends of Chet gallery in order to be eligible for March Friend of the Month.”

“Chosen by the random number generator, which should be back from the shop momentarily.”

“Winner is displayed over in the special place on the right for the entire month – where George is now – and winner’s human companion gets a signed copy of The Dog Who Knew Too Much.”

“How do you think most people deal with the leap day thing?” Spence says. “Treat it as a normal work day or as a gift of freedom?”

“Wasn’t there a movie about  a couple who met only on leap days?” Admin says.

Admin checks the calendar. “To quote Emily Litella,” he says: “Never mind.”
