Denver Post Reviews A Fistful of Collars

A Fistful of Collars
Spencer Quinn (Atria)
Purists will say that “A Fistful of Collars,” the fifth entry in the Chet and Bernie series is just another example of how modern crime fiction has gone to the dogs.
Oh, we know. Dogs don’t talk and don’t lend a paw in solving crimes, except in fiction written for little old ladies, and when they do the books often die from terminal cuteness. That isn’t the case here.
The author, really Peter Abrahams, has written some previously pretty dark stuff under his own name, but these books, which feature a literate canine narrator named Chet who aids a flawed but still smart human private eye named Bernie, are as skillfully rendered as they are clever and fully worthy of the attention any reader willing to suspend belief for a couple of hours. – Tom Schantz
Welcome Percy, SuzyBee, Bridget the perp, watchful dude.
