“I hear you’re taking a swing at the Chet and Bernie screenplay,” says Spence.
“Uh-huh,” says Admin.
“How’s it going?”
“It’s shorter than a book.”
“Which you knew already from the Lights Out screenplay.”
“True.”
“Which I liked, although it didn’t make it to the screen.”
“No guarantees in the picture biz.”
“As I recall, you didn’t write the screenplay for The Fan.”
“Absolutely not.”
“I thought Benicio Del Toro was very good.”
“Uh-huh.”
“And Ellen Barkin.”
“Yup.
“Anything you can tell me about the C and B script? How did you start, for example?”
“With Chet and Bernie meeting for the first time.”
