Where’s Claude?
October 14th, 2010 Posted 9:08 am
“Here’s something interesting, Chet,” Bernie says. “A woman named Mary Paquin, driving a Honda on Cape Cod, hit a guy in a Toyota, sending both drivers to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Also she was charged with driving under the influence, driving to endanger, etc. etc. Nothing unusual so far. The unusual part is that her golden retriever Claude jumped out of the wreck and has been spotted in several Cape towns since, seemingly headed west. Searchers think Claude may be headed back to where he used to live for most of his life, which was Plymouth Mass.” He looks up. “A search like that would be right up our alley, big guy, if we weren’t so busy with the Astrid case. To say nothing of the Great Western Private Eye Convention.”
The Great Western Private Eye Convention? Whoa! Isn’t that in book four? We’re getting way ahead of ourselves, which I’ve seen our shadows do, but don’t really understand.
