Franky and the Fourth Amendment

“Here’s the fourth amendment,” Admin says: “‘The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.'”

“So,” says Spence, “it looks to me that once Franky had sniffed out the fact of pot being in the house, the cops should have gotten a warrant, now having probable cause, and then made the bust.”

“Sounds right to me,” Admin says. “We’ll see what the Supremes say.”

“Might be fun to be a judge.”

“Better than a miner, to quote that old sketch.”

“What sketch is that?”

“You know.”

“I don’t.”

“Those Brits.”

“The Beatles?”

“No. You know – those funny guys.”

“The Beatles were pretty funny.”

“Which one was your favorite?”
