And of course, there’s an audio version of HEART OF BARKNESS, the complete text narrated by the very talented Jim Frangione who’s handled the whole series so superbly. (And something quite special happens at the very end of his reading!) Coming July 2, available for preorder.

THE RIGHT SIDE: Audio

From P. R. Trust, an Amazon reviewer, on Saturday:

5.0 out of 5 stars – Not just a mystery or war story.
I bought the audio version of this and thoroughly enjoyed listening to it.

This woman created by Spencer Quinn is so likable, so “right” that I wanted her alive. She’s as heroic as Atticus Finch. I do hope Quinn will write some more of her story.

At first I was afraid of this book: not wanting any more wounding war stories in my head. This is not a guts and glory story. It’s the story of one human being muddling through life in a most honorable way.

Nice to see ARF on this American Library Assoc. list of audio books for younger readers. Jim does a terrific job on all the Chet and Bernie books, as well as Bowser and Birdie.

“There have been questions about the audio version of A Fistful of Collars,” Admin says. “Do we have answers?”

“We do,” says Spence. “The audio will be released simultaneously with the printed version (Sept. 11). It will show up soon at Amazon, B&N, etc., and in the meantime can be preordered from Recorded Books.”

“A lot of people like Jim Frangione’s narration,” Admin says.

“Including us.”

Welcome ball-playing dude, Max, Wizzer.
