Yoking Around
“Maybe it’s time,” says Spence, “that I understood this European financial mess.”
“They’re yoked to the euro,” Admin says. “That exacerbates – or, as I heard someone say recently, exasperates – “
“No.”
“Yes. That exacerbates – you might even says leverages – the fundamental problem, which is an imbalance between productivity and government expenditure. They’re either going to have to be much more productive – which means working harder or getting younger fast – or reduce outlays.”
“Meaning austerity?”
“The dreaded A word.”
“Cheers.”
Welcome Brody, Oliver & Cooper, Buddy.
Rebecca: we hope you’re all right!

Good Morning All!
Rio: I see you in black tie today up top.
Rebecca: I’m really sorry to hear about the fall you took. I hope that you are feeling tip-top soon. In the meantime, Belle Starr should be waiting on you paw and paw.
Barb: I hope you are feeling better too!
Youse guys on the left coast where it’s snowing, stay warm and safe!

MOLLYPOP’S MOM! Help us understand! You were great with the (whispering) tin futures.
Hi Rose, good morning.
Hey I got MACIE on the right. That’s the first time I’ve had a Plunderer up there for months.
Sooo, 26 degrees with a heavy wind. Some lake effect snow. Ice is everywhere. Soon I will have to go out and sand and salt.
9:12 am on January 18th, 2012
Good morning Rose and Melanie, Chet, Spencer, Admin,
Winter is in the process of returning here. After a very mild, rainy, foggy day yesterday, the winds are now howling and the temperature is going down.
We think there is a 3rd alternative to the Euro problem, but that would bring this blog precariously close to a political discussion, which we do NOT want to do.
9:34 am on January 18th, 2012
Wikipedia and Google have gone “dark” today in protest of a bill in Congress about copyright.
Good morning all.
9:54 am on January 18th, 2012
Rebecca, Sorry to hear about your fall. I think your recovery will be longer than Barb’s. Her mouth hurts where she bit into her lower lip, and the right arm is really sore, but otherwise she is in good shape, relatively.
BSD, I hope you plan to hunker down today. Today will be a good day to stay indoors. Hope your power stays on, too.
We are supposed to get more snow tomorrow, but at least today the wind is down. Bitter cold (well maybe not compared to what our northern friends are used to). Barb has heater on in the coop, and is giving warm water and extra grain to the goaties.
10:05 am on January 18th, 2012
Morning all – 32 degrees here with brilliant sunshine. No snow or ice – not tropical but not the deep freeze either.
Euros – dollars – whatever – sounds like their finanaces are all in a mess!
Barb – very happy to hear that the fall wasn’t as bad as it might have been. Still, a sore mouth and arm deserve extra TLC…and ice cream!
Rebecca – same prescription for you – PLEASE take it slow and easy, at least til you get the xray and they know for sure what is broken and what isn’t.
We are sending our Gramp to the v e t today. He has had a cold since the beginning of December, and now he is starting a cough and sounds like he has a crawful of gravel. Mama had to threaten Dire Consequences if he didn’t go. Gramp doesn’t mess with Mama once she pulls out the Dire Consequences – he called the v e t right then and there.

What does “yoking around” mean?
10:19 am on January 18th, 2012
Copyrights!… This is a topic near and dear to someone’s heart right now….grunt!… She found a foto she would love to use on her Quilling business card, but doesn’t know for sure if it is “legal” to just copy the foto from the internet and use it….sniff! ….Apparently, she tracked down the guy who took the foto and wrote to him asking permission to use it….snort!….So far he has not gotten back to her about it…grumble! ….What do you guys know about this? Is it okay for her to use the foto without written permission? Or will she have to figure something else out…wuffle!
10:20 am on January 18th, 2012
Barb, I read last night that you were cooking a chicken. You didn’t cook Peaches I hope.
10:22 am on January 18th, 2012
B, “yoked to the euro” must mean tethered.
10:27 am on January 18th, 2012
Google!… It has joined the black-out!….yeep! ….I think Britannica Encyclopedia will be available to any who want to look up the difference between “exacerbates” and “exasperates”…snort!
10:38 am on January 18th, 2012
Rio: Just the GOOGLE doodle is blacked-out. The site works fine.
10:43 am on January 18th, 2012
Here’s a Blou card for Barb and Rebecca. The snow sculpture took several days to carve and paint for one of our winter carnivals. It took a bunch of drunks several minutes to topple it. Here’s Blou looking at the wreckage the next morning. We turned it into one of his best selling cards. Please recover quickly Barb and Rebecca.

10:46 am on January 18th, 2012
Sam, That was the Howlers that cooked the chicken, and #1 we would have to be literally starving before Peaches would be eaten, and #2 she weighs only a little over a pound, so that would be slim pickins. Barb says you can’t eat something that has a name!
Hope BSD is ok with all the snow hitting Seattle.
11:05 am on January 18th, 2012
Maggie, we get our beef from our friend’s farm. They raise steer(?) only a few at a time, and we split a quarter last year. It was so wonderful, Mom became a red meat eater again. But, the owner names those animals!!! One year, she even put a Santa hat on the new calf and used the photo on her Christmas cards. Mom always asks her how she can send them off to…
11:05 am on January 18th, 2012
Did Tyb pose for that snow sculpture? Great card!
Off to run errands. Barb will try to remain upright today!
11:06 am on January 18th, 2012
Rio: An attorney would have to answer your friend’s question I think. Does the site containing the photo have “copyright protected” or similar language on it?
A good dictionary is dictionary.com.
11:26 am on January 18th, 2012
I don’t know that much about the Euro crisis except Germany is doing fine with a strong economy. The other European countries are in a financial mess.
I read this on the internet but haven’t tried it yet. Wikipedia is sort of working today. A page will come up for a short while and then go black, but if you press the escape button while the page is on the screen, it won’t disappear. This has to be done for every page, though.
11:32 am on January 18th, 2012
TYB: That’s a great picture and perfect for Bella!
B.Stover: I believe that it is a play on words. “Joking around”.
11:33 am on January 18th, 2012
Melanie – It’s Barb who is the expert at (whispering) tin futures. We don’t want to go there again. Bernie will but not us.
11:35 am on January 18th, 2012
“Yoked to the euro” makes sense but what is “yoking around”?
11:36 am on January 18th, 2012
Barb,
No, it wasn’t Tyb that posed for the sculpture. It was Blou. Tyb hasn’t been around long enough to be as well known as Blou was. Blou really became rather famous.
He was the model for sheep dog in the “Save the Sheep” episode of Wonder Pets on the Nick, Jr. network, he appeared on the front cover of a national dog magazine, he was the model for a life size plush border collie doll made by a German toy co., and for a hand puppet made by a Chinese company. He also received mail from two sitting American Presidents. He shared the President’s Volunteer Service Award with the Letters from Home Program when Bush the younger was in office and the day before he died, he had a thank you note from the Obamas. When he died he had a four column obituary in The Buffalo News. Not bad for a rescued border collie that
didn’t have the best life for the first six years he was alive.
11:37 am on January 18th, 2012
Rebecca, We are so sorry about the hard fall you took. It could happen to anyone (like my mom). We want you to take it easy and recover. Feel Better Soon!!!
T&G, Glad that gramps is going to the doctor. Let us know how the doctor visit goes.
C.Harris, Rebecca, and Dawson: We love hearing your stories of life in the Far North, but no more going down on the ice you guys.
We are thankful that AJ came out the winner in the battle with the moose.
11:39 am on January 18th, 2012
Melanie: Yes, I see the word play but it doesn’t work. “Yoking around” is a contradiction in terms.
12:01 pm on January 18th, 2012
Is it just us, or are the other guys on this blog amazed at the similarities among all of our human companions? They all seem to like the same T.V. shows and movies, dislike the same actors, become nervous nellies if they don’t know where one of us or A.J. is, and now we realize almost all of them are clutzes! Our mom can’t stay up on her 2 feet for 24 hours at a time. And she is always covered in black and blue. Sort of strange seeing so much similarities, don’t you think?
12:15 pm on January 18th, 2012
Tyb, We know, now that we think about it, that you are a light sable and white ES and not a black and white BC. We were not thinking. And we are impressed with Blou’s many accomplishments.
Oley, Another similarity that we have noticed is that the two leggeds either seem to have grown children or only four legged children. Maybe that just means that they have more time to devote to the blog.
Barb stopped at the li-berry and got the Andy Carpenter series book that everyone was talking about.
12:18 pm on January 18th, 2012
Exacerbate from Latin exacerbo, to irritate or provoke.(To make worse.) Exasperate from Latin exaspero, to make rough. (To annoy.)
12:18 pm on January 18th, 2012
Ouch!
Barb & Maggie: Walk carefully. I trip over my own feet on occasion. Usually remain upright. I recommend hot chocolate with whipped cream to make you feel better.
Rebecca: I hope you have no fractures. Whatever it is sounds painful. Take it slow and easy. No rushing around until the doctor gives the all clear.
Tupper&Gilly: Tell your grandpa to take his medicine and get well soon.
Tyb: Great card for everyone. It’s great that you turned an act of vandalism into a charitable opportunity.
Our weather is erratic. It is now a warm 0 degrees F and going back down to the deep freeze of minus 30 F tonight. I hope that forecast is wrong.
12:34 pm on January 18th, 2012
Oley!…It’s just you!…snort!
Stover!….Which one am I?…heh!
12:38 pm on January 18th, 2012
Rio: A bit of each?
12:45 pm on January 18th, 2012
Bit?…I’ll have to work harder…grunt!
12:46 pm on January 18th, 2012
Oley, We too buy beef from a local person who has a few steers that are show animals and get treated like royality for 18 months, then trailered off to you know where. They also name these animals. Barb asked how they could do that after beings so close to them for a year and a half. The gal said “Their fate is sealed the day they become a steer (a casterated bull calf). They have the best life imaginable for the time they are here, the best food, no chemicals given, then they are taken to a local butcher and it is over quickly. They live a good life and they do not go thru a lot of stress at the end.” I guess if we are not going to become vegetarians, this is the next best thing.
12:49 pm on January 18th, 2012
Oh dear! Rio’s going to work harder…….sigh!
12:53 pm on January 18th, 2012
We wholeheartedly agree, B&M. There you go…yet another thing in common!
We are going to start getting our pork from a place called Caw Caw Creek Farm in South Carolina. Perhaps we already mentioned that. We would rather go local, and there are probably good local places that raise the pigs this well, but we don’t know of any. We saw this place featured on some T.V. show a year or so ago and have wanted to purchase from there ever since. So Mom called the guy during her Christmas vacation and he is going to let her know when he has one available…he said some time mid-January…so it should be soon. On the T.V. show, the very cool owner was playing with his pigs, and his pigs have tons of acreage to free-roam and eat their own food.
12:54 pm on January 18th, 2012
Melanie, Yes it was Barb who knew a little about tin futures. She never got beyond Econ 101, so her knowledge of international economics is zip – nada. Her backgorund was basically insurance/investments. Sorry, but she is as befuddled as everyone else.
1:00 pm on January 18th, 2012
Checking in. Freezing temperatures with light blowing snow here on the Island. It seems we are escaping the worst of it so far. Going south towards Seattle…much worse conditions. WSTD is advising all who can stay home to do so. All regular programming has been preempted for weather updates.
C.Harris & Dawson: We do appreciate the little taste of life in the North and will never again complain about the rain.
Our dear Rebecca: After hearing Chet say he is hoping you are okay, it was with my heart in my throat that I went back to read last night’s posts. Our prayer is that the x-ray will show nothing serious. As you take comfort in the Healing Powers of the Quilt, and AJ & Belle Starr serve you tea & sympathy, we have no doubt, you will be feeling tip top in no time.
Barb&Magpie: Glad to hear you are able to run errands today. That must mean you are feeling better. Smiling here thinking of the warm water for the goats – somewhat like having their morning tea.
1:03 pm on January 18th, 2012
Rebecca!… Poor Rebecca….sniff!… I had no idea she had broken her back before. Maybe her drugs are working really good today and she is resting and taking it easy…wuffle!…Here is a card for Rebecca from us guys here…snort!

Robbie!…. Hey, on a brighter note because it pertains to Me!Me!Me! I just got confirmation that Robbie has been shipped and is on its way to my house!….Woooooo! …Now I have something to look forward to…snort!
1:14 pm on January 18th, 2012
Riö, wonderful card. sniff …
Barb&MagPie, I guess we are all yoked together in confusion.
BStove, perhaps Spencer is feeling yoked to his computer. This is fine with me!
1:23 pm on January 18th, 2012
Austerity!….grunt!… Another word to consider from Chet’s yoked post today. My friend says we’ve been living that word for a while now…sniff! … If you look in the dictionary under Austerity you will find my treat budget. Beau’s treat budget is under the word Restriction…heh!heh!
1:24 pm on January 18th, 2012
TYB & Rio: Those were great Get Well Cards!
To the Royals Gramp: Take care of yourself. Healing thoughts going your way.
We neglected to send Leonard our good wishes yesterday, so a Very Happy Belated Birthday to You! The Dual Celebration on the 31st will be well worth the wait we think.
What’s this? Siber-H, and now Rio, getting word Robbie has been shipped. This is the second time Amazon has failed us in a pre-order. About ready to give them a piece of our mind.
1:40 pm on January 18th, 2012
What about being yoked to one’s mind. Interesting/spooky.
Amazon also notified me that Robbie has been shipped. Sorry Bear.
Cool card Rio.
1:45 pm on January 18th, 2012
I’m baking banana nut bread.
2:10 pm on January 18th, 2012
Stover!…Is your banana nut bread in Dishlickers?…snort!…My friend says she needs a good recipe to use up all the damned bananas she cannot choke down her gullet every week…heh!
3:00 pm on January 18th, 2012
Mama is having a hissy fit. We are staying out of the way.
Sally’s Army guys showed up, took one look at the sofa and the stairs they needed to navigate and said that the sofa was “covered with dog hair” and they couldn’t take it.
Please understand that the sofa has been cleaned, and cleaned and then cleaned some more, and we haven’t been allowed up on it since. So there was no dog hair.
Mama called the Sally supervisor and he said he had to back his driver. Mama said some Pink Bulldozer type things. Sally’s said they would send another truck right away.
New truck came. New driver agreed that the sofa was lovely, and had no dog hair. He and his helper took it all apart and started taking it out to their truck. Halfway thru, the driver suddenly said he coulnd’t take it after all since there was dog hair on it – FOUR %$%^&* STRANDS that showed up in the bright sunlight.
Now Mama has a disassembled sofa that no one will take and no room for her new sofa coming tomorrow.
Yeep!
So the sectional is now reassembled in garage and is in the classified ads for SALE! And Sally’s can just kiss our grits!
3:28 pm on January 18th, 2012
Couch!….Ouch!… Stinky Mama sure seems to have a lot of trouble with her couches…heh!heh!…It’s sort of like this on-going soap opera that could be called As The Couch Turns or Days of Our Couch….chorkel! …How about The Bold and The Beautiful Couch ….heh!…Or The Young and The Restless Couch…huffle!
3:31 pm on January 18th, 2012
Rio: No it isn’t in Dishlickers’ but it’s very easy:
Combine 1 cup sugar in bowl with 1/2 cup shortening (I use melted butter); beat in 1 egg; stir in 1 teaspoon each soda, salt and vanilla. Add 2 cups flour alternately with 1 cup mashed bananas; add 1/2 cup chopped nuts. Pour into greased bread pan. Bake at 350 for 50 to 60 minutes.
3:35 pm on January 18th, 2012
Soaps!…OH!OH! How about All Of My Couches…heh!snort!heh!
3:40 pm on January 18th, 2012
Great cards, Rio and TYB. I hope Rebecca is doing okay today, but I am sure she is hurting.
Bear, Call Amazon and find out what’s up. The are the one corporation in this world that I don’t mind calling.
Mom won’t be having Sally’s come out to pick any donations up. They would reject our sofa and I don’t even get on it. Our Humane Society will come out and pick stuff like that up. They have a couple of thrift stores here.
3:43 pm on January 18th, 2012
Don’t those couch movers know that pet hair on a couch is why they call it FURniture?
3:47 pm on January 18th, 2012
Mr. Tibbs!…You’ve told that joke before, remember?…heh!heh!
3:56 pm on January 18th, 2012
Rio, We were going to add Our My Couches, but you beat us to it!
Here are a couple of things Barb wants to throw out at you and get opinions.
First, one of her dog breeder friends loved a particular male ES who everyone thought was exceptional. He went over the rainbow bridge years ago. Well, they have some 6-yr old frozen seman that they are going to use and try to have a litter of his pups. Does that sound a little SK-ish to anyone?
Second, the lady she buys beef from is starting to show in Class A circuits. She just spent over 100K for a heifer who is in the shows. Has a groomer and a handler, etc. Barb said “Too bad they aren’t like bulls, and can only have one offspring a year”. Wrong!
Guess they give them hormones, then flush the eggs and collect them. They can get up to 32 eggs per flush. Then they get top bull seman, fertilize them, and then sell the embyros. They have “Embyro Rooms” at the big sales. They will go for up to $5,000 per. Then they go in to a donner cow who raises the pricey little calf.
Maybe other livestock breeds do this too, and we just aren’t aware of it, but this just hits us as a little creepy!
4:23 pm on January 18th, 2012
Barb, I think a lot of this is going on in the animal breeding business…dogs, cattle, horses.
I agree, it is creepy and the use of hormones and antibiotics should be stopped in the livestock business. It is too profitable for them to give up, though.
4:25 pm on January 18th, 2012
Oh, Rebecca I just saw about your owwies. Please take care of yourself. Regarding SDD message from this morning, no rush.
Everybody stay upright. This bunch of (mostly) well seasoned (mostly)ladies is breakable.
Regarding the pupsicles for sale, they have done the same thing with men near and after death, so his line will go on. Hmm, we would have an opinion on this but it would require too much thinking RAM.
4:59 pm on January 18th, 2012
Macy, Yea, that was Kelly’s comment “Mom, they do the same thing with people for heaven’s sake!”
5:01 pm on January 18th, 2012
We think that is creepy too, Barb. And we hope the hormone-injected heifers are not part of your food chain (or ours).
Brandy and Staff are at the top of our page!
5:11 pm on January 18th, 2012
Blast! I didn’t see Brandy at the top along with Staff. There are two other pictures now. I wonder how often they change.
5:14 pm on January 18th, 2012
Fotos!…The fotos of friends at the top of the page changes on your computer everytime you refresh the page…grunt!
6:30 pm on January 18th, 2012
Testing.
6:31 pm on January 18th, 2012
I couldn’t post for a while.
Didn’t know that the picture changes with each refresh.
6:35 pm on January 18th, 2012
Power still on and so is oven with baked chicken breast and yams for din-din. The banana bread would make an excellent choice for dessert.
Siber-H: That is good advice to call Amazon. We did call and complain the last time this happened with The Dog Who. Haven’t called on this one since mail delivery has been delayed because of the storm.
6:45 pm on January 18th, 2012
Bear: I’ll blur some banana nut bread to you. I goes real well with lemon curd.
6:50 pm on January 18th, 2012
Yeh, Rio, I remember. That’s why I asked the question rather than made the statement.
6:51 pm on January 18th, 2012
Rio – yup the stories of this couch would make a soap. Or maybe at least a short story – “The Albatross” comes to mind.
Dam couch has been a problem since day 1. First it was late being shipped. The it had the two ends reversed. Then there was the series of repair calls. And now we can’t get rid of the dam thing. Its like its haunted…
The ad starts in tomorrow’s newspaper. One week, and if it doesn’t sell, we are starting a list of ways to get rid of it:
Donate to a local shelter
Donate to local cancer support center
Replace the padding with molasses and set it out in the back yard for the bears
Build a catapault and shoot cushions off at random
Take the fabric off and make a ball gown a la Scarlett O’Hara
Have it delivered to CLL with a big bow on it on Feb 1 with a note “Thanks for the memories”
Anyone else?
7:08 pm on January 18th, 2012
B.Stover: Zoë wants to know if you made the lemon curd. We had it a long time ago in England. It was great. (And yes, being yoked to your mind is a bit weird)
“well seasoned” snicker “popsicles” snicker. So, we have had friends who have used the frozen and also the “cooled” semen for their bitches. (I wonder if I’ll get moderated?)
But “Embryo Rooms”? Yikes. I know men have been doing this for years. But still? Shivers time.
Amalia, Laughing our butts off here!
Riö, all the soap names were great.
7:21 pm on January 18th, 2012
I know Rio and Melanie will have creative options for the sofa.
BSD, stay warm and safe. We may be getting some of what you have Thurs and Friday. 1-2″ tomorrow and a possible 7″ on Friday. No plans to travel this weekend, which may be a good thing.
Started Open & Shut. Quick reading, like his light humorous writing style so far. Does anyone know the 2nd book in the series? If not, we can Google it tomorrow.
7:29 pm on January 18th, 2012
Melanie: Yes, I made the lemon curd. It’s very easy…similar to lemon meringue pie except it takes the whole egg rather than the yolk only. (A different kind of “yoke”!) And, of course, you don’t have to make the pie crust or the meringue!
T&G: Donate the couch to the shelter.
7:44 pm on January 18th, 2012
B.Stover: I’ll have to google it. Received a non-gluten cookbook and banana bread was in there. When I mentioned the lemon curd to Zoë we decided it was a must. Also I found a bottle of Key Lime juice. We’re going to make some pie without crusts with that!
Also, B.Stover, please check your SDD.
I think feeding the bears is an “interesting” concept. Perhaps after you put the molasses on it, you could get some Sally Drivers stuck there.
I think the shelter would love it.
7:52 pm on January 18th, 2012
I’m headed to bed folks. Hate walking on ice.
Hope Rebecca is okay.
TTFN
8:33 pm on January 18th, 2012
Couch!… Around these parts if we set any kind of furniture out on the curb and put a “FREE” sign on it someone will always take it away within minutes…heh!….Course this is a college town and those guys always need furniture to replace their beer drenched crap…chorkel!
8:37 pm on January 18th, 2012
We too, hope Rebecca is okay. Hope she will check in just to say hi and bye.
B. The banana nut bread was delish! Thanks for blurring it over.
Rio: One more…One Couch to Love.
Tupper&Gilly: We all agree…a shelter would love it. They wouldn’t say: eeewww. we can’t take that! it has FUR on it. Thinking here those Sally guys needed a little nip on the pant leg.
Off to watch some more Downton Abbey – Bear
Barb&Magpie: Will be thinking of you tomorrow and Friday. Good to hear you are staying home. Seven inches can snarl things up pretty quickly.
8:38 pm on January 18th, 2012
Losers!….We are watching the Biggest Loser…grunt!….Amazingly, one guy just quit the show and went home…sniff!…Unbelievable. Who does that? …wuffle!….This seasons contestants are not becoming near and dear to my heart for some reason. Course it is only week 3. They are all strangers to me yet, I guess…wheeze! …The lady who cries all the time has got to GO!…grumble!
8:41 pm on January 18th, 2012
Bear!…heh!snort!heh!….Good one!… chorkel!
8:49 pm on January 18th, 2012
Probably too late for Melanie, but I think Macy called them PUPsicles. Very clever, Macy. I know AI is used alot with dogs, which isn’t so wierd. It was more the part that he had passed in 2006 that struct me as strange. Maybe not. If it were me, looking for a certain line, I would probably think about breeding my female to one of his sons.
Hope Rebecca is feeling ok tonight. If you do have cracked bones, you have to be really careful for 6 weeks right? What is the Iditarod date in March?
8:51 pm on January 18th, 2012
Macy, what does RAM mean?
8:54 pm on January 18th, 2012
Beau!….He’s already fast asleep in her lap tonight while we are watching the Biggest Loser…snorr!… When the show’s challenge was going on he was dreaming or sumthing cuz his little legs were pumping like he was running and he was snuffling like crazy…heh!heh!…Seriously weird guy…chuffle!
9:08 pm on January 18th, 2012
Barb, The Iditarod starts the first weekend in March.
9:20 pm on January 18th, 2012
Oh my goodness, I just read about Rebecca’s fall, Barb’s fall, and AJ’s moose!! Everyone, please be careful!!

B&M. The second Andy Carpenter mystery is called First Degree. Wookie
9:49 pm on January 18th, 2012
Siber, Wolfie and Wookie, thank you all. Good night and sweet dreams!
9:57 pm on January 18th, 2012
Checking in and checking out.
Tomorrow the new sofa arrives (please, dog) and life will get back to normal.
And Mama goes to work at CLL
And the countdown will continue.
Tha-tha-tha-that’s all folks – good night

Thanks to all for the well wishes, cards and emails. I told my boss that it looks worse that it is, I’m sure. I think if I was really broken I would hurt a lot worse. I think I’ve just been tenderized, but the doc wants me to go back for X-rays. The brace for my hand is the worst part—sure it hurts less but I can’t do a damn thing. AJ drive me to town today so I could get my laptop and my bosses were upset I got out of bed in the first place.
T&G: Have you considered the wonders of a couch slash blanket fort? Or, send the couch special delivery care of Rio’s friend and let Beau mark where he may.

Good to hear from you, Rebecca. I like your suggestion of donating the couch to Beau.

Rebecca!… She’s awake! I thought she would be in a drug-induced coma for the whole day…snort! … Take care of your hand you need that thing. I’m worried what the x-rays will say about your back though…sniff! ….Stay home and stay off of the Ice …dammit!…Thanks for checking in but give your hand a rest and go back to bed now…wuffle!
Mark! … Beau’d have that couch covered in no time let me tell you…sniff!… I’d like him to have the couch just so he would get the hell off of her lap…grunt!….That is really irritating me….grumble!

I did my best to go without pain pills today but gave in a bit ago. Is the news really this funny?

A late hello all, and take care you guys, sorry to hear about all these tumbles people are taking!
Donor eggs and surrogate heifers = creepy but unsurprising. Once humans can start making money by exploiting animals, any reasonable limits go out the window, my opinion.

RAM random access memory, probably did not even make sense
I wish I could add a rim shot sound to my stupid jokes.
Did anyone see the “suicidal dog” on Modern Family tonight. So funny!! And CSI…I did not breathe for the last five minutes.
Rebecca..the news is best watched “under the influence”. I just heard that the captain of that cruise ship said he “tripped and fell into a lifeboat”. O..M…D…how stupid can people be? Apparently there is no limit.
