Yesterday

Was not a good day. Audrey, our 15-year-old beloved canine companion and family member, was suddenly taken ill. The news from the vet was bad. Audrey’s back home now, not in pain, but with not much time remaining. So many of you must know this feeling. But we will use this remaining time to celebrate her life while she’s still with us, and be grateful for the opportunity.

Dear Creator keep a paw on Audrey and her family during their time together. Let them keep their hearts open to their love for each other.

    Amen.

OFA: My Lady says this is a sacred time. She tries to be there when each of us in the kennel Crosses the Bridge. She says these times of leaving are more sacred than when she greets us into this world. Treasure it and treasure each other. We will greet Audrey when the time comes for her to Cross. We will remind her she is loved. And, once she is Restored to Prime, the Thieves will show her around the Bridge with all the sights to see and Slim Jims to watch.

So sad to hear that Audrey is not doing well. So glad she is not in pain and in her family’s care. I’m sure 00Wookie is waiting patiently at the Rainbow Bridge for his girl.

Hugs to Audrey and her family❤️

Peter: Our thoughts are prayers for Audrey and for you and your family are with you at this difficult time. Unfortunately you are right that we all do know the pain that you are experiencing all too well. The best is that Miss Audrey is not in pain and that you can keep her as comfortable as possible for her remaining time. And I have it on very good authority, as BooBear observed, that when the time comes, Agent 00Wookie will be there to great her as she crosses the bridge, with a big bouquet of flowers and a never-ending supply of chicken treats.
