Yesterday …

… we had an Amazon review from a reader who had come to THE RIGHT SIDE after reading Chet and Bernie. Today a reviewer (Tina Carter) from the opposite direction, posted the same day (Jan. 10) at Amazon:

This is the first Quinn book I’ve read and am going right into his other books. Yes, it’s difficult the way the dog is treated at times, but it speaks to the character of main character, who is damaged, emotionally and physically. The dog is also a hero in the book – I immediately fell in love with her. I found LeAnn interesting and authentic. I loved her intelligence and strength, in her past, as well as in how she develops in the current time in the book. I couldn’t put the book down.

    Greetings!

    Finally Friday…Yay!

    An excellent review!

Lots of rain expected in this neck of the woods. There is still a lot of snow on the ground, so flooding is expected.

A very good Friday to all!

Still thinking about Dawson’s subzero temperatures and thankful for the rain.

Mom and I keep thinking about California. First those terrible fires and now the mudslides. Cannot imagine! The flooding here was terrible and the cleanup is horrible for those involved. But OMD, how does one get rid of all that MUD??

I couldn’t agree more with the reviewer.

BooBear et al: Bulldozers and dump trucks needed, is my guess for getting rid of massive amounts of mud.

Brilliant sunshine and ice cold temperatures persist here today. I took the senior’s bus to my commitments. Tomorrow it is supposed to be 15 or 20 degrees warmer and I will attempt to start the car. I did not even try today.

Dawson, starting the car. Cold weather. Wow, quite a story and Wowser, reminiscent of Fairbanks 2016. Brrrrrr.

Dawson!…We beat youse at 11 degrees…grunt!…Needless to say I do my business and am right back inside again….brrrrr!

Reviewer!…I’m thinking it is Tina who gave an excellent review. I know my friend has struggled with words to describe the book and this review comes close to what she wants to say about The Right Side…wuffle!

Bites!…So my friend and her library friends toured the city Fire House this past monday….grunt!…Then they toured the City Gym which is in the basement. Creepy and dark….wheeze!…Needless to say she will not be working out there by herself…sniff!

Training!…Back to the Library for training for information on the new website. She felt an uncomfort right around her waist where her pants stopped….gah!…Hours later she got home and saw the multiple spider bites right at that spot. This grew into a huge Welt….yeeep!…She has doctored it over the week but now thinks if things don’t feel better tomorrow she will make a doc appt….guffle!…today it was really painful in a weird “alive” kind of way…guh!

Dawson!…On really cold day my friend starts my car and lets it warm up for a long time…snuffle!…Then she drives it around just because. She says this is better than letting it sit in the cold with the battery draining…yeeep! …With wind chill it was -10 below today when my friend was out and about doing whatever she does…grunt!

    Frozen!
Right now with the wind chill it is minus 38 Celsius (Fahrenheit minus 36). My old 1986 Dodge would’ve started up in these temperatures but my 2015 Dodge is a wuss. This is the third time (first time this year) it has refused to start in cold temperatures since we bought it. Tomorrow when it it predicted to go up to -24 C (-11 F) I will try to start the wuss.
