I didn’t know that onions are toxic for dogs. And poor Natasha the cat. She’s beautiful.

    Good morning all.

Gooood morning, everyone! It is good to educate people about possible unknown dangers, like onions being toxic and a skunk’s ability to bury a small dog alive. But it seems like carelessness to wash a cat in a machine! Don’t people look inside the machines? What if… Oops, I’m getting down off Golinka’s soapbox (thanks for its use).
    Have a magnificent Monday.

Wose: My Two-legged just boarded her early morning flight, but I have no idea why I am awake. I have been think about something. You said Grizz uses sparkly toothpaste—something I have suspected for some time—and I like sparkles. I checked the math with Tenzing and I’m sure this means Grizz and I are twins. And, if we are twins he can’t be lergic to you because I’m not lergic to you. So therefore, he won’t sneeze or sniffle next time I visit.

Belle Starr, Yes, Grizz does brush his teeth with sparkly toothpaste. It does seem logical that you like sparkles, and Grizz likes sparkly teeth, so you definitely are twins. We will have to put the lergic thing to the test.

Good morning. That poor kitty! She must have been in one of the new high efficiency washers that doesn’t use as much water or spin rapidly.

And how does the skunk do that?

My favorite line from the story:

Last year’s winner was a pug who ate and then pooped out more than 100 rocks.

The little dog who was almost buried alive by a skunk needs a Siber as a best friend.
Barb, I don’t know how the skunk did that, but I know what I would like to do to the skunk.

    Good Morning All

    Good morning!

Zoë and I needed a great laugh. It’s always good to know that we are not the only ones whose animals have “weirdness”. Large dogs don’t have to worry about being buried by skunks or even getting in the washing machine. We just have to worry about CAKES!

Now for some good news and interesting news.

The good news is the PET scan was completely clear of all cancer except for what is in my liver!

The interesting news is it started in the liver, but it is not liver cancer. It is probably . . a rare form (of course) of liver bile duct cancer. Talking to another doc on Monday about the next step.

And for those of you four leggeds that chase chickens and vermin?
    I said duct, NOT DUCK.

Dinner is in the oven so peaceful for a few minutes (mom sat down and we stole the ipaw). Travelopeople sent a “REVISED” itinerary on Thurssday, unsolicited, which sent the peeps from Chattanooga to Charlotte AND Chattanooga to Newark AT THE SAME TIME!!! Gah! Mom about blew a gasket (whatever that is) and told the Old Fart he had until Monday morning to get it fixed. This a.m. nothing, nada, zip, zilch, bupkis (as someone we know would say), so mom had everything cancelled, called a friend in MI who is a travel agent and within an hour, voila! (“only” $200 more but NO 9 hour layover in SeaTac). Looks like 6 am Chattanooga to Hotlanta. 8:20 Hotlanta to SeaTac. 12:45 pm SeaTac to Anchorage 🙂 🙂 🙂 Called hotel and explained, same room, same price w/ old fart discount . Might get stuck coming home (northern rte. Anchorage to Minnie a no place to Motor City to Chatt. Who cares?
Hopefully we have overcome. Oops here comes mom to check dinner. BBL

We are back. Barb decided to torture me with a visit to the V*E*T this afternoon. She thought I should get a rabies shot and some other booster. It wasn’t too bad since I got a treat and they didn’t touch my nails. I think she scheduled me for a “mannie-peddie” whatever that is.

Picked up the new Ann Hillerman book at the library, but won’t get to it till the Donna Andrews book is finished.

Barb picked her last beans and peppers since we are supposed to get a hard freeze tonight. 30 degrees tonight with chance of SNOW! Back in the 50s by this weekend, so we might get the fence staining finished.

Melanie: Mom and Daddy Dawg picked up a British tourist one year. Young man 25 or 26. He didn’t have enough $$$ to go from Key West to Grand Canyon and get back to NY for his flight. Told him to come along, room in the motor home, put in every 4th tank of gas as we were headed for Phoenix. He did and actually helped with driving but always banged his knuckles on the left door reaching for shift before reversing 🙂 He wound up immigrating to Seattle…a boat mechanic.

The quilts of valor campaign has been going on for years. I have worked on several. My friend Deb, who helped on the Plunder Quilt has made many. She was a collection point for many years and did the quilting and binding for many of them. I also bet that Teddy’s Mom has done them too.
Here is Deb with the Quilt she made for me me me. It is my personal quilt of kidney valor.

    I LOVE that quilt.
