Good morning. Willow is beautiful. We forget, is she related to Pearl and who does she live with?

We are waiting for Pat the carpenter to come back and finish up outside, and then come inside for a couple of hours. He is going to rip up the damaged oak window ledge in our den, and install some beautiful stone tile. Can’t wait!

Good morning, everyone! Hope Wose and LouLou are tip top. BooBear, don’t wash away today, looks like lots of rain for y’all. We tested the friends gallery but OFA is right, not adding 🙁 Willow has certainly grown.
    Have a funny Friday 🙂

We just know today will be special since we posted with Lou Lou the labradoo on the right and now we peek back and there are Audrey at the beach and Blondie scarfing breakfast 🙂

Big news today is the Alibaba IPO. WOW!!!

    Hi everyone.
Staff – have a wonderful time.
Rio and Siber – happy for your Rocks.
    Willow is adorable.
Howlers – we have NO idea what you are talking about.

The big eCommerce company in Asia is going IPO (Initial Public Offering) on the New York Stock Exchange today. It is really big, and we are all watching this to be sure all is ok when they start trading.

Willow!…I thought today’s post was going to be about Snowhook Kennel and all my pals who live there…snorkel!…Willow the Dawg not the Kennel is a very lucky pup who has a great name!…chuffle!

Howlers – we are not stock marketeers. How will this affect people like us?

    11:30 am on September 19th, 2014

Wow! The Rockies won last night’s game for us dogs. I just know they did.

Howlers, I am glad you explained the IPO. Let us know what happens. I pay no attention to that stuff.
My focus is on Asia this weekend because the Formula One Race is going to be in Singapore.

Mom gets around the grammar of “lie” down by just saying “down”
(not that I perform a “down”, ha)

Tupper’s Maw: It doesn’t affect us Members of the Nation, other than that Mom is so darn busy and on edge at her job upstairs, she has not given us any tummies whatsoever.

SiberH!…And anyone else who cares; last night when I said Hong Kong was 12 hours difference from us, it is really 14 hours difference because I was looking at the blog-time when I posted the Hong Kong time and date….grunt!…So therefore (heh) we can all look at the blog-time and know that Nanasan is exactly 12 hours ahead…snort!…It is Friday night, 11:45pm in Nanasan’s world…heh!

    We knew that, Rio. Heh!

Alibaba is the largest IPO in history.

Staff–enjoy the sewing machines (and your breakfast, to which I can relate with a bit more enthusiasm).
O’H–Are you planning on buying? Are you thinking of doing your part to equalize the trade deficit?
Rio and Siber–Happy your Team won (and of course it was for you!).
Ready to go talk AND give a quiz! Later…

    12:11 pm on September 19th, 2014

Thanks Rio, I wonder how Nanasan is dealing with the time change. Mom thinks going on Daylight Savings Time is torture.

At least DianeC didn’t say a “little” quiz. Bet hers are torture!

  25. Diane C.
    1:59 pm on September 19th, 2014

O’H–After I wrote that, I was actually thinking about (maybe) buying a little just to do what I could for the US economy, but even at that I can’t seem to bring myself to do it. I too dislike the end of DST (but since we’re already losing the light, evne if we kept it it wouldn’t make too much difference–at least where I live–always forget if it’s latitude or longitude we’re talking about…)
HOH–I made it quite easy and I drop the lowest one. there was one perfect paper and many made the usual careless mistakes (if you can call not reading or studying or looking at notes between classes a “careless mistake”). they’re not hard is you read and listen but I make the mistake of trying to be “entertaining” which apparently leads students to believe that it’s all going to be fun and games (until someone loses a wad of points). I hope they come back after this break.
    Has anyone heard from Wolfie?

I’m off to the vet now to get my 6 month heartworm shot. I don’t care. The shot is better than those horrid chewable tablets.

  27. O'Howlers
    3:31 pm on September 19th, 2014

Siber!! Really???? We love love love our special once-a-month treats!

  28. Diane C.
    3:33 pm on September 19th, 2014

siber-H–“Horrible” tablets? More horrible than a shot?

  29. Barb & Maggie
    4:03 pm on September 19th, 2014

We like the once a month chewables too.

Barb didn’t buy Alibaba. She doesn’t buy any individual stocks, only mutual funds. And IPOs can be risky.

  30. O'Howlers
    4:11 pm on September 19th, 2014

LOL! Barb, Mom the Big Spender put in a Limit order for 10 whole shares! She will never get them, because they will never go as low as the price she set.

  31. Herd of Hounds
    4:33 pm on September 19th, 2014

We don’t like our monthly tablets either. Even mom says they smell metallic 🙁

  32. Siber-H
    4:44 pm on September 19th, 2014

Diane, Yes, those chewable tablets are more terrible than the shot. This is coming from a dog who will eat almost anything. I am not picky.

We heard the song, Pancho and Lefty, on our way to the vet. Love the song, but now it makes us think of two dogs in Alaska.

  33. Tupper's Mama
    4:48 pm on September 19th, 2014

Our gang all love their monthly chewables. Even the Wrotten Kats try to get in on the action when we are handing them out. We have to have kitty treats in hand so Nadil and Sage don’t snatch the crumbs from the puppies.

We are having our annual lasagna dinner party tonight. Our friends who own this cottage will be coming over. Rio, you are welcome to blur in. It is a BIG lasagna.

And there is chocolate cake with raspberry icing for dessert.

  34. Tupper's Mama

“NADIL”???? The corking otter changed “Basil” to “Nadil”? What is the world coming to?

  35. Herd of Hounds
    4:56 pm on September 19th, 2014

How about “Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Truffles”? Gluten free and like a cross between a cookie and a Reese’s piece? Thought of MPM when our friend came with then. Will sent recipe later…easy, tasty?

Lasagna!…snort!…I’ve got my little knapsack all packed for the beach. My special towl to lay on so I don’t get all that sand in my bits and parts..snuffle!..My bowls for a bunch of that lasagna and my little harmonica for some after-supper-around-the-campfire-on-the-beach melodies…heh!heh!

I don’t blur, but I could surely go for some of that lasagna! And as far as I can remember I have never seen a beach. I would certainly need a towel to lie on, sand in my undercarriage sounds unpleasant. Instead, I will just be here with the common dawgs while mom goes off to a choir party. I doubt that she will even think to bring leftovers home. sob

We are sending the mom to bed early AND putting her under the quilt. She has a temp. and is achy and out of sorts (whatever those are). She got a flu shot which we think was a dumb idea. We will love and steal special snacks for her…maybe even a Slim Jim 🙂 Take care all. Nighty nachos.

My friend is suddenly considering the possibility of this whole experience…heh!heh!…Although, We would have to spend the night in downtown because both of us cannot and will not drive at night…blind!…As a bat at night with all the headlight glare…grunt!…But good planning and her saving money could be the ticket to next year at this time….WOOOOOO!
