What To Read?
“So, this thing at Maestro’s restaurant, sponsored by White Birch Books of North Conway NH, Tuesday at noon,” Admin says. “I guess you’ll be reading for the first time from The Dog Who Knew Too Much. What’s it going to be?”
“Haven’t made up my mind,” Spence says.
“You could always read the beginning,” Admin says. “That way you don’t need to set anything up.”
“There’s also that first scene where Chet and Bernie are back home,” Spence says.
“The one with Iggy?”
“Yeah. Or what about the first scene at the mine? “
“Where Rummy appears?”
“There’s also the parking lot scene with Anya.”
Spence starts leafing through the book. Admin goes back to reading the paper. I have a nice stretch.
Welcome Fynn at the book store, Sir Handsom Harry Callahan, Fragment from AZ, Belle Starr of (the wonderful) Snowhook Kennel, Two Dudes behind bars, Zach of DPFamily, Gabbie, Nicky, Marin, Augie, Maully and Phantom, Droppie. Double Trouble – please retry.

Chet, got a question for you. Now Spencer has been done with this book for awhile and I know he’s been busy with others . . . does he remember all the book? Or is he more like you, living in the now, and rereading it finds such wonderful things he’s forgotten?
9:07 am on September 4th, 2011
Melanie, That is the way we are – if we pick up one of the books and start reading we always find segments we had forgotten.
Hope you are having a good day. Are your guests there today? How are Dan and Zoe feeling?
9:29 am on September 4th, 2011
Welcome to Belle Starr of the Wonderful Snowhook Kennel!
Also big welcomes to Flynn and all the other new Friends of Chet. So many new ones…wow! There will be some heavy competition for FOM.
Good morning, Chet, Spence, Admin, Melanie, Barb, and Maggie. We always find something new when re-reading too.
9:47 am on September 4th, 2011
Good morning, Everybody.
Macy & Staff – I’m still laughing about your literary comments. No, No Nabokov and The End.
Buddy & TC – we’re not a house divided. We’re a house partitioned: ND, IU and Purdue represented. I wondered what ND did with thousands of people last night and dad said maybe they all went to the Grotto. Dad enjoys weird humor.
We also always find something new when re-reading. Scary, isn’t it, wondering what all we missed?
9:56 am on September 4th, 2011
Greetings to Everyone!
Wow, lots of new Chet friends. We especially love Belle Star’s photo! I would love to give her some tummies and romp in the snow with her!
Handsome kat you are Augie!
Natasha: Had a great time in Philly, and yes, I liked the bell of liberty too.
9:58 am on September 4th, 2011
Masquers, my dear friend. Thanks for the welcome back!
10:06 am on September 4th, 2011
The who, what, why, were and when all in the first sentence. Great journalistic coverage Admin! I think I’ll take a nice stretch also Chet!
Welcome all the new Friends of Chet.
Good morning all.

And the entire post today is a tease….grump!
10:16 am on September 4th, 2011
Good morning all. Mama is heading for the studio to work on stuff that she won’t let us chew. Phooey!
Macy – Mama says she thinks she read that same book – yup, people, doing stuff, then it ended. What a weird coincedence.
Melanie – hugs to YSAS (when he wakes up)
Rose – good to have you back, you wandering Plunderer.
10:38 am on September 4th, 2011
Has anyone every painted s*h*o*e*s on purpose. I went on line to find some purple or cool thingys for women that have wide soles. Yeah, I’m not paying $150!
So had to go to men’s and talk about BORING !
Going to try painting, but wanted to see if anyone had done it. If so, you can email me because if we try to talk about it too much we’ll probably get the BlogBug back.
10:47 am on September 4th, 2011
Rebecca: I hope you start feeling better.
11:31 am on September 4th, 2011
Siber-H: What, you don’t think it’s HOT here?(lol) Being a Kool Kat anything over 75 is getting on the uncomfortable side for me. How do you do it? I mean being a Siber and all? Our forecast was so great I blinked my eyes in surprise. For this time of year what a treat. Normally cooler temperatures prevail.
Hello to Rose and Everyone!
11:31 am on September 4th, 2011
Hamlet and YSAS are fearless! They were changing a lightbulb outside the WW porch and discovered a huge spider!
So we videotaped it. Think it’s not only one but a nest, so unfortunately, they have had to be sprayed.

Melanie:
http://www.iconshoes.com/
I have ordered shoes from here. Talk about wide feet, mine are very duck-like. I own a pair of these shoes. They are a normal width, but I don’t have a problem with them. Click on the “Specials”. They have shoes starting at $39. (Some have doggies on them!).
Masquers, you make me laugh! Like you, anything over 75 is HOT! We spent a week here in New York with temps ranging from 95-101, and Willow, Alaska sounded go to me right about then!
T&G: Thanks, it’s nice to be back talking to the pack! As a wandering Plunderer, I hope to run into a few of you in my travels someday. And thanks again for that awesome surprise!

We were looking at the Friends of Chet, and wonder what the story is behind the naming of Fragment. Unusual name, must have a story.
Just finished The Walk by Richard Paul Evans. It was a good read….ing. Fast, interesting, and now on to book # 2 in the series. The book is actually about a walk, but much more to the tale.
It was 96 mid week, and now today Barb is putting a sweatshirt over her tee shirt to go out and cut grass. Yikes!
She has a cookout later afternoon, so guess I will be here by my lonesome.
11:43 am on September 4th, 2011
Why am I being moderated?? Is it because I used the word s-h-o-e-s? I didn’t know that was such a bad word….
Rebecca: I hope you feel tip-top soon.
11:44 am on September 4th, 2011
Good morning, y’all! Now that Spence has let some of the cat out of the bag, Mom says I can tell about how when she saw Anya’s name she thought about Liz, because Anya explains that it’s pronounced “On ya.” Good on ya, right Liz?
Rose: Welcome back! I’m glad your trip went well.
Macy: Mom laughed at your mom’s plot recap for the book last night. She says there are remarkably few plots in the world of literature, and that’s definitely one of them!
Melanie: What in the heck is a WW porch? World Wide?
11:45 am on September 4th, 2011
OH: I forgot to mention what a lovely job you did on the Shadow Box!
11:47 am on September 4th, 2011
Thank you, Kirby!
Maybe Widow’s Walk?

I’m having a hard time posting a comment with a link.
11:51 am on September 4th, 2011
Here’s a link to an interesting site. It’s about a door from a Greenwich Village bookstore in the 1920s that was signed by writers, etc. It’s part of an exhibit at the Harry Ransom Center at the U of Texas Austin. (There’s an article about it in today’s NYTimes Book Review.)
If this posts I’ll put the link in the next comment.
11:52 am on September 4th, 2011

Looked up the spiders. Brown Recluse.

12:03 pm on September 4th, 2011
Finished!…It took her working four hours for 3 weekends and this morning she worked on it for 2 hours, plus several baseball games worth of time making the little bitty objects during those weeks…grunt!…There Rose, now you know how long it has taken to finish 1 project…sniff!…Although, with the left-overs she has been able to whip together a Thank You piece for someone else, who is not her sister…huffle!…So really 1 and 1/4th projects have been finished…heh!…Although we still have to make a trip to the hobby store to find something to finish the framing phase…huffle!
12:07 pm on September 4th, 2011
Welcome to all the new Friends of Chet – especially to Belle Starr! (Nana says to give her a big kiss on the nose)
Rebecca: We can remember the gathering and stacking of firewood in bygone days. Very hard, but necessary, work in preparation for the long, cold winter. Thank dog that nice couple came to the rescue after the flat tire. Sorry about the cold. Feel better soon.
Melanie: What a lovely weekend you are having! (with the exception of the spider(s)
More bad news from Amazon – we got an email saying there was a change in the release date (Ha!) so now the book will not arrive until the 8th. Of course, that’s not news to us. They are not handling the high volume of book sales well at all we think.
Off to have Sunday Brunch!
12:16 pm on September 4th, 2011
euuuuwwwww That spider is icky!
Amazon had better have TDWKTM on my Kindle Tuesday morning.

I’m back from Sam’s house. She got to go to college while I stayed to guard the house.
Thank you Tupper & Gilly for the lovely surprise from Cape Cod.
12:24 pm on September 4th, 2011
That was nice of you MollyPop! I hope Sam had a great time.
Rebecca, hope you feel better soon.
12:28 pm on September 4th, 2011
Melanie: I just saw the picture of the spider. If they really are brown recluse spiders you don’t want to fool with them. They’re really, really bad! Get rid of them quick!!!
12:35 pm on September 4th, 2011
Okay….that didn’t exactly work either. But if you type in “portal” in search a link comes up.

12:39 pm on September 4th, 2011
Melanie!! They are worse than black widow spiders! Follow Kirby’s advice immediately!
12:48 pm on September 4th, 2011
dam! scratch that! just go to: http://www.nytimes.com with above instructions! I’m going to take a nap.
12:51 pm on September 4th, 2011
Melanie, We have some spiders that look sort of like that – little bodies, big long legs. They are not Brown Recluse. That particluar spider got its name because it is very reclusive – go figure- they like to be in dark out of the was places like attics or crawl spaces. If your spot by the light bulb is pretty out in the open, probably not Brown Recluse.
12:53 pm on September 4th, 2011
B: Thank you for the link. Mine stinks.
12:57 pm on September 4th, 2011
Melanie, Did some quick research for you Brown Recluse are usually found only in southern US. What we have, and what you might have is a common house spider, or a cellar spider – both harmless. Never the less already dead.
1:02 pm on September 4th, 2011
Masquers, You asked how I handled the heat…two words…air conditioning.
Wow….The temperature is finally dropping in Texas.
Amazon is, indeed, behaving strangely.
All I will say about The Dog Who is that it is worth every cent and more that we spent on the overnight shipping.
1:06 pm on September 4th, 2011
Mom was just looking over Spence’s choices again. If Mom were taking a peek at the book, and was up to page 156 by now, which of course she isn’t, she might have an opinion about what Spence should or should not read at “this thing” at Maestro’s. The rest of this is for Spence only, so don’t blame me if the rest of you read something you shouldn’t!
Spence: Mom doesn’t think you should read the beginning of the book. You know how well that goes for Bernie, and it may give your audience ideas about acting the scene out!!!
1:11 pm on September 4th, 2011
Thanks for trying Masquers. You can get to the link by typing it in manually rather than clicking on the link as posted. You have to complete the link with /bookshopdoor#1
I like the name of that spider and it looks like one I had in the bathroom this morning. I got it in a glass and put it outdoors. Yikes! Wonder if it was the kind that is worse than black widows. I’ll have to find info on those that Barb wrote about.
Hope we see a photo of the finished project Rio.
1:24 pm on September 4th, 2011
This was hiding in a recessed covered light on the porch. YSAS took off the cover with a knife and it attacked the knife!
The Acting Crew is very versatile. They have taking off the dead limbs (from the beavers) on two apple trees and then cleaned the beach area.
1:31 pm on September 4th, 2011
I had a very good time while I was at college, but I thought I was going to stay there with my girl. Imagine my surprise when I got plopped back in my car seat and we were on the road going home.
1:32 pm on September 4th, 2011
Okay. Now it’s three more whole days we have to wait.
Macy: Your book synopsis is very true. It’s all in the telling.
Kirby: Did your mom take THE book home with her for the weekend? If not, we think she should have. After all, no one else is going to be reading it before Tuesday.
Melanie: Spiders can be very scary and, even though I have respect for all living creatures, having one crawling on your person certainly evokes terror in the heart of any being. Good thing YSAS & Co were there to the rescue.
B: That link worked perfectly when we spliced the two together. It took us directly to the site. The article is quite interesting.
1:35 pm on September 4th, 2011
Just a quick hello before we drive out of cell range. We hope to do two trips for firewood today and then at least one tomorrow.
Belle Starr is wondering why I didn’t past all the pictures of wonderful her—she read that the adjective was meant for her and not the kennel. I tried to explain to her about unfair advantage if I posted all her pictures; she doesn’t agree with my reasoning.
Melanie: I had a dream about the Newf pack last night. They are huge—of course, that could be the Nyquil talking.
Rio: I hope your friend shares pictures of her finished projects—she always does beautiful work.
Kirby T: I hope your mom is(n’t) able to take an even sneakier peek before the library closes for the holiday. I’m listening to THAT on my mp3 player while AJ takes the chainsaw to trees and I load them on the trailer.
1:36 pm on September 4th, 2011
A brown recluse has a fiddle shape on its abdomen, I believe. A friend was bitten by one and he had delirium hallucinations that the hand of God was coming through the ceiling for him. The bite area of his leg died and had to be sliced away. This spider is NOT a helpful house guest.
Melanie, we knew you had a big heart, and now a big soul?
1:40 pm on September 4th, 2011
Kirby, your mom would be doing a public service by reading the book before Tuesday, thereby freeing it up for some else. Our logic is beyond reproach!
1:55 pm on September 4th, 2011
The spider I saw looked just like the picture Melanie posted. It didn’t look like a common house spider or cellar spider from the pictures I saw on Wikipedia. Wonder if the brown recluse is extending it’s territory. Apparently it has six eyes unlike other spiders that have eight. (This according to Wikipedia.) I don’t think I could ever look that closely at a spider……
1:55 pm on September 4th, 2011
T.C.: Don’t you and Buddy share an avatar? I know you are a guy of few words so no doubt that’s why you don’t have one of your own. How goes the big get-together at Howling Arabians?
2:00 pm on September 4th, 2011
B: We agree. Just how do you turn a spider over to check the under markings to see if it is dangerous or not? After it is deceased most likely. Ah, but then it would be smashed beyond recognition.
Don’t think we want to wait for the bite and suffer the consequences either.
2:11 pm on September 4th, 2011
Yes Macy, I have a large sole!
Snicker
Rebecca, you do not need Nyquil to think The Pack is full of large dogs. Mattie got another trim and then it was Gracie’s turn. She did not have to get the clip cut EXCEPT for her tail. LOTS and LOTS and LOTS and LOTS of tangles and mats.
She is now a Newfoundland with a lab tail. I told her she was beautiful.
2:11 pm on September 4th, 2011
Not a hobo spider as they (hopefully) haven’t gotten out of the Northwest yet. They’re really bad! The guy who discovered them disappeared! I think the spiders got him.
http://onewest.net/~dkvest/hobospider/
Catty Librarian doesn’t like the way they *crunch* when she stomps on them. Then she has to flail and wail.
2:41 pm on September 4th, 2011
Melanie here. I’m whispering because I’m now resting. The Acting Crew have finished with cleaning the beach, working on the Pool and are going kayaking.
Jeez Louise. I’m tired from just watching them!
3:11 pm on September 4th, 2011
I have been busy practicing blurring, I don’t have it quite right, but I did want to show off my Ididarod watching fashion.

3:12 pm on September 4th, 2011
Melanie: We are tired just listening to you watching them!
3:57 pm on September 4th, 2011
Macy, you look Mavalas!
3:59 pm on September 4th, 2011
Macy, you’re making me laugh!
I read an article online that suggested Brown Recluse spiders are being spotted in Michigan. A woman in Flint took three to MSU lab.
4:05 pm on September 4th, 2011
Barb just put the goats (not TMGs) in the barn so they could come and cut out hay. She doesn’t want the goats to get baled for some reason.
Now she has to get ready to go to the cookout. Sweater weather here. She is going to take 2 O’Douls so she can look like she is drinking beer. They are going to cook fish from fishie they caught.
4:14 pm on September 4th, 2011
Hmm . . . just what to her goats get up to that they need to be bailed out?
Okay, I have YSAS’s Chet THE DOG ID printed out and put into a holder. He has a very nice collar that lasted about 2 weeks for Grace. That’s how long it fit her. So he’s ready to go on the 8th.
UNLESS, he has rehearsal. Then everything is off. So paws and claws crossed!
4:33 pm on September 4th, 2011
We meant for the goats not to get baled into hay bales, not bailed out!
Macy, what exactly are you wearing?
Melanie, anyone in the pool today?
4:52 pm on September 4th, 2011
Crap! …..Someone here is muttering to herself because she took the Project to Michaels to have it framed. She already had bought the frame, so this was going to be a low-cost operation…heh!… Nope! The frame is not deep enough – it will smash the project if they frame in the one she has…grunt!…So the young man who helped her with Dawson’s Fan says he can do some magic that will deepen the frame for her…sniff!…She said she isn’t quite finished with it yet and will have to open it back up – he said that might be tricky….wuffle!…She said Dammit! He said he would work it so she can open it up but she will have to tape it down again with something. But first would she like to see some “Master Glass?” Wow! She had to buy the expensive Master Glass because it looks like there is NO GLASS at all in the frame….snort!…She said go ahead and do your magic. He said he couldn’t work on it right now because he had to finish watching some training videos. She said Dammit! Then he said she should come back at 6:30 for the project….grunt!…So now she’s all worried because her project is in the hands of some young punk who is watching training videos…wuffle!
5:02 pm on September 4th, 2011
Gah!…Cook is pitching….sob!sob!sob!… I don’t like that guy one damned bit…sniff! ….It’s 3 to Nuthing in the 4th….grumble!
Steak!…The good news is we are having steak on the grill tonight! ….WoooooWheeee!….Nothing beats that in my book!…snort!snort!…I always get way more stuff when they do cook-outs for some reason….heh!
5:45 pm on September 4th, 2011
Unfortunately, Mom wasn’t able to bring the book home with her for the holiday weekend — drats! It would have beeped going out the door and then the library police would have arrested her! But she has the page number written on a note on her cubbie, so as soon as she gets to work on Tuesday it’s hers all hers! She’s just going to make sure that she times putting it into the system right, so that the one at her library is the one that she gets to keep. Otherwise, it could go to someone else on the waiting list, and then she would have to wait for another copy to come from a different branch. That is so not going to happen!!!
5:47 pm on September 4th, 2011
Thank you, Rio for answering my question. Your friend does amazing work. I would also like to see a picture of the completed project.
Enjoy your steak!
5:49 pm on September 4th, 2011
Macy: Yellow is a very flattering color on you.
6:10 pm on September 4th, 2011
Riö: I hope he wasn’t watching training videos for how to frame.
6:19 pm on September 4th, 2011
Riö: I hope he wasn’t watching training videos for how to frame.
MagPie: We had Franklin, Rose, Katie, Grace and Mattie in the Pool.
Since the river change our beach is weird. It had been filled with softball sized rocks.
There are no softball rocks anymore. The river dumped 5 feet of sand on the beach.
So we took Patsy and Ellie down to the river and they had a lovely wade.
We can’t do that with the youngers because they can go up river, cross over to the old island and then leave.
So everyone was happy!
6:25 pm on September 4th, 2011
Videos!…. Well, you see, this is exactly what my friend is wondering and worrying about too…sniff!… The project she has worked on for hours and hours and hours is now in this young guys paws…wheeze!…He did say he was aware of all the work that went into Quilling, so she is hoping he will be doubly careful…wuffle!…While she was waiting a gal came up to her and asked if she had made “that.”…sniff!… She said yes. Then the gal asked if it was a Kit…heh!…My friend said no, it was one of a kind…snorkel!
6:30 pm on September 4th, 2011
Wow, Melanie. Your very own sandy beach. That’s one good thing left by the storm. But we feel sorry for those folks who lost their waterfront altogether.
Rio: I know you and your friend will be relieved to have this project safely completed. It seems she is trying to do a multitude of things plus prepare for the upcoming trip.
6:38 pm on September 4th, 2011
Multitude!….Seems she’s been running around a lot today without me….grunt!… New clothes have been brought home, two projects are coming to a close…gruffle!…Steaks are marinating…slurp!… 5K is looming tomorrow morning… wheeze! ….Suitcase, duffle, and computer bag are all lined up….I guess she’s got a lot on her mind today. Plus, the Rockies are playing right now!…heh!…That’s really all I am concerned about. I know she will pack for me, so I just have to lie around and wait to be lifted into the car…chorkel!
7:00 pm on September 4th, 2011
Grillin’!….snort!…The steaks are on the grill! I’ve been outside and I know first paw they are a cookin!…Woooooo!… Her mother always has to eat very early which is fine by me, but aggravates my friend to no end sometimes…heh!…. Tonight is great though…yeep!….because she’s been so busy she didn’t eat all day long….wheeze!
7:09 pm on September 4th, 2011
Rio; Hurray for the computer bag!
Now we know you can keep in touch
while on the road.
7:37 pm on September 4th, 2011
There is a new Inspecter Lewis mystery on Masterpiece Mystery tonight.
7:40 pm on September 4th, 2011
Macy, That is a cute photo and Redbone will love it.
Rio? When are you leaving on the road trip?
7:53 pm on September 4th, 2011
Heh, heh, heh . . .

8:01 pm on September 4th, 2011
Melanie – thank you. Makes my weekend 🙂
8:04 pm on September 4th, 2011
Thank you all for your lovely comments. I can’t wait until I can wear this again. The good news is It Did Not Get to 100 today!! We missed breaking the 1980 record by one day, at 68 days over 100. We also fell short on the consecutive days over 100, at 42. Mom says that 1980 was a year to remember.
BTW, I am wearing a faux-fur (fox fur?) trimmed car coat, with hood and sleeves. Very toasty.
8:07 pm on September 4th, 2011
I just noticed that said that the spider could not be a hobo, since they weren’t in your area yet. Hellooooo. Hobo? Don’t they get around, snicker.
8:12 pm on September 4th, 2011
It’s good to hear you watching a baseball game, Rio. The Universe is in the right place.
8:17 pm on September 4th, 2011
Since a scene with Iggy is mentioned, I sure hope it is one where he has a chance to be free for a romp with Chet.
8:32 pm on September 4th, 2011
Sheila: I do remember a Free Iggy Campaign a while back…
8:41 pm on September 4th, 2011
The Librarian has a question for Dawson: she wants to know what kind of bathtub Dawson has?
8:45 pm on September 4th, 2011
Melanie: Those pictures are so kool! It’s just like knowing those famous actors when they were hanging out in NYC before they become top stars. We feel very privileged here on the blog.
Going now to continue watching Season 1 of Mad Men – Bear
8:48 pm on September 4th, 2011
Nice looking crew! They look like they might be up to something.
8:50 pm on September 4th, 2011
Bathtub Dawson has?? What did I miss here?
Okay, the Acting Crew has left. I don’t see how they are still awake. What a wonderful weekend.
Dan says he hasn’t laughed so hard in months and Zoe said she had the best weekend ever. The Pack adored the Crew. Lots of tummies all around.
I had a grand time. It was so good to see all of them. Sometime in the next year McKey has been asked to go to Rome (Hamlet’s family) and Texas (Ophelia’s family).
He loved his hat, and that jacket he’s wearing?
Hmmm . . . T&G do you recognize it?
I’m for bed. AC is on, Patsy’s been waiting for hours. So TTFN
8:58 pm on September 4th, 2011
Is Elliot planning to visit Dawson for a bath?
Macy yellow is your color. The plot last night was great. I could just see the book.
Melanie, I often wonder where all my energy went. I think the young people have stolen it.
9:22 pm on September 4th, 2011
What?
I have the kind of bath tub that overflows if you turn it on and then go to check Chet the Dog just for one second. In other words it is NOT a big old claw footed cast iron one. It is a little bitty enamel one. Why?
9:52 pm on September 4th, 2011
heh heh heh
9:57 pm on September 4th, 2011
Hey!
I recognize that jacket!
10:24 pm on September 4th, 2011

If anyone is thi king about canning BBQ sauce, my advice is this:
Drop those tomatoes. Walk away from the stove.
Mom finished at 1:00am. She probably could have cooked it for another hour, but after 4 hours of stirring, her hands were blistered.
On Thursday she is going back for more tomatoes, Both to freeze and to make some spaghetti sauce to freeze. The canning kettle has been banished to the garage.

I love your ears!

Wolfie, I heard something that I hope is not true. I saw a min-pin with tiny ears. She told me that someone CUT her ears like that. It can’t be true, can it?

Macy dear your ears are just amazing. I bet you can detect aliens for NASA if you want. I do NOT want to hear about someone cutting ears that wonderful.
Horrors.

Off to bed to sleep on the lovely new bedinabox mattress. Staff is really happy with it. She says it is really really comfy.
Goodnight all. Except Liz, who is waiting and waiting for her mail. G’day Liz

Now wait just a minute here- that jacket is NOT from the auction. The auction one is now adorning the back of a friend of ours in New Mexico. That jacket was one that our Dad used to wear back when he was young and slim. He could still wear the acket over his shoulders, but he says that some really bad ice cream and cookies jumped on him and hit him in the belly until it was all swollen up – then the jacket didn’t fit anymore. But he thought his favorite surrogate son might be able to use in in his acting career.

But…but it has fringe! Heh heh heh. guess it is a little shorter than the one on the auction…maybe…hurumph!
Rio I am glad that Brad did a good job on your quilling. Must have been worth it to watch the videos for him….:-)

Macy: I hope you reserve your Iditarod fashion for March and do not wear it in the heat wave unless your standing in front of the refridgerator with the door open.
Rio: I’m glad Brad didn’t mess up your project. As a river guide, I would tell our clients that I watched a “So you want to be a river guide” video just the night before and found it informative—they never knew whether or not I was serious.
What a day, what a day…we just finished with the firewood. We weren’t able to get two loads done as we hope—the truckand trailer got stuck, but luckily we were able to get out.
Melanie: the acting crew looks great!

Hey, Rebecca! I’m sorry you got stuck. Maybe you ought to wait until next summer when the ground is all dry to get your firewood!
