Interesting article! I have never had a dog, but I had a cat who was pretty smart! :^)

Another very hot day in this neck of the woods.

Dawson: BBQ sounds mighty good! And no cooking is a plus anytime!

    Good day to all!

Good morning Wose and everyone. Loved the article and being Hounds (figuratively speaking) we always knew we were smarty pants. Don’t get us wrong, cats are very clever at manipulating people to take care of them and wait on them and do whatever they want the people to do. Dogs on the other parts are part of a group that works together with people.
Where ever you are and whatever your weather, make the best of this toasty Tuesday.

Do I foresee a dog and cat fight? LOL!

    Good morning all.

That’s way incorrect. I run this household. That dumb Loulou is cute and sweet but all she does is play with a carrot! Give me a break!

LouLou, just because the cat is high up doesn’t mean you aren’t top dog!

Friend and our Lady had quite a night last night! First, they attended a reception at the Art Institute of Chicago. They saw Van Gogh paintings and Monet and there were self portraits and water lilies involved. Ole Doc who has been on Mother watch this week made an executive decision to leave Mother to her own devices—-she practically supervises herself—-and blurred to supervise Friend and our Lady. A good thing, too. He got there just in time to fill Friend’s purse with cookies and cakes at the reception.

After leaving the reception, they could hear live music coming from somewhere. They followed the sound and stumbled into a concert at Millenial Park. The heat of the last several days finally broke so they opted to sit on the steps to enjoy the music and the breeze. Then the skies opened! Yeep! They headed closer to the stage to seek shelter under the cover of the venue. Splash! They were standing at the edge of the cover just as the roof shared it contents with the top of their heads. They rushed the stage for cover. They were right there with naught between them and the stage. Yeep! They can attest that the lead singer’s hands are soft. He must moisturize or doesn’t regularly chop a cord of the wood like the Giant. They know this because he came right to where they were standing and grabbed their hands.

Ole Doc saw Friend and our Lady safely back to the hotel. While they were out misbehaving, we stayed at the hotel and raided the mini bar and minded our manners.

Rio Still hasn’t had his deep dish pizza. It turns out we at Ole Doc’s weight in goodies from the mini bar and maxed out the amount charged on Friend and Lady’s credit card for coincidentals. Coincidentally, we had the need to eat $8 bags of chips. It could happen to anyone.

Looks like Beanie really does run the show! Beanie kinda looks like Mr. Big, eh?

I meant to say that I chased Beanie up there. Meant to,but actually she was trying to pounce on me.

LouLou: Is that all it takes to get to High places? Will chase me so I can get up on the big bed? I’ve only been there once and it involved the Giant lifting me. It was my Lady’s birthday.

Mr. Big is really big. Isn’t he around 20 pounds? I weigh 9 pounds and Beanie weighs 8 pounds – she’s all fur!

Mr. Big is 23 pounds. The photo of Beanie proves that the camera does indeed add 10 pounds.

Speaking of large things…I cleaned out my closet of clothing I’ve outgrown {{{sigh}}} or not worn in two years = 50 items donated. There were a couple of wrenching moments in parting with things but it was time and my closet looks lighter!

Oh Hobbitz, our hearts feel for you. It is always so difficult to cull the closest. Perhaps you should reward yourself with an ice cream sundae if you are allowed them by your allergist.

HOH: even tho I had eliminated dairy from my diet years ago, it turns out that I am not allergic to milk or sugar. But I have been consuming too much sugar since I got back from my trip.
Sadie is almost healed so it is time to make a grooming appointment— I look forward to a clean dog again.
