Good Morning All. I think the OleyHowlers are going to be hit first by the storms headed this way. Kat should be pleased.

Did you know you could sleep on your ankle wrong? Jeez Louise.

YSAS photo shoot is fantastic. I am still working on his acting reel. He talked to a producer friend (that is going to be working with Anne Hathaway, maybe, it’s sort of on and off) and the friend gave him some great tips. YSAS needs to film one more thing and then I can finish this thing. It’s difficult to keep the entire thing just about a minute.

Okay, Newf Prayers are out for Callie and G&BB’s dad.

Time to go get Jesse. BBL

Morning everyone. Callie is at the animal hospital. Gramp was pretty upset about leaving her up there. Then the surgical technician came out and gave Callie a big hello, dropped to her knees and wrapped her arms around her, kissing her nose. Gramp felt a lot better after that.

Then some other folks walked in with their two Newfs – one black and one Irish spotted. We took that as a good sign too!

Surgery is scheduled for 1. They will call when she is awake from anesthesia. And we will take Gramp up there to visit her tonight if he wants. Callie will be there overnight with her own nurse, and an IV.

Thanks again for all the good thoughts. It means so much to Gramp. And to us.

I feel good about this. Real good.

Saw the end of the game last night. In the pouring rain. I was worried that someone would break a leg skidding in the mud. The only game I could watch and it is a runaway. sniff. Well I will try to watch the Series. It starts tomorrow B. I know you were curious.

Callie, Gramps and G&B’s dad, all in our thoughts today. Healing energy heading your way.

We felt bad about the Cards, the only team we even remotely care about. It is a family thing.

Barb has kids today. Lyla is home sick and I tried to cheer her up by jumping on the sofa with her and licking her ears. Barb said that was a little over the top so I had to stop. I stopped immediately, almost, or maybe not at all. I love ears, especially little kid ears.

    Thinking about Callie!

Dad is still in hospital and did not have a good night. Pain gripped him and it didn’t go away with meds. He was so tired and couldn’t sleep because of the pain. They did a CT scan this am but all is ok at the surgery site. Will stay in hospital one more day for rest and pain control but should go home tomorrow.

Mom had a good cry a little while ago and now is better able to face the day. Not only is she worried about Dad, but she misses us alot.

  27. Melanie
    12:43 pm on October 23rd, 2012

G&BB, it’s very important not to let the pain start. Because if it does it’s hard to stop it. Lesson learned by me and being told time and time again by Golinka.

  29. Tupper and Gilly

Gus and BooBear – the good news is that the pain wasn’t related to any surgical problems. That said, we are very sorry to hear that your Dad is in so much pain. That can happen a few days after surgery. Sometimes a nerve that has been cut suddenly wakes up and says, “oh ya – OUCH!!! ”
We hope they can handle the pain for him. And tell your Mom that a good cleansing cry could be very good for her.
Lots if hugs, prayers and support coming your way.

Ahem – we would like to interrupt this here blog to say that Callie is out of surgery and is awake.
The surgeon just called to say that she did beautifully, and that the tumor was not deep rooted. And he said that his biggest concern was having a large wound to close on an area without a lot of excess skin, but that her skin was flexible and supple enough to allow a good closure.
She is being watched by her nurse, and we will go get her tomorrow. The pathology won’t be in for a week, but the doctor said he feels very good about everything.
    Thanks for all your support.
We now return you to the regular blog postings

Cats can get upper respiratory infections from humans. Abbie caught it from Maggie when she (abbie) was a little kitten. So, since your Mom recently had a bad cold then Sage might have caught it. Watch her and if she seems too ill then you can take her in. Abbie ended up getting antibiotics.
Maggie had a terrible cough and wouldn’t go in to the doctor, but she wanted me to take Abbie in. I said, “You won’t go, but the kat has to go to the emergency vet???” Mom ended up going in and a good thing too. She had bronchitis. Then Abbie went. What a pair.

My favorite is the Pug in the Pug costume.

Right after the Pug in the Pirate costume.

A pug in a pug costume! That’s so overt, it’s covert!

I’m still at the office. There is an accident on the highway between me and home and traffic is stopped. Grump!

Home! I finally got home a bit ago and am headed to my nice, warm bed without any snoring pugs.

Rio: no need to worry. Handler Jeremy is back so he feeds the dogs when we are not around. Rio takes after his pug side and will not be denied dinner, not that we would.

Wose: Smooch! You and Wolfie, G&BB, CHH, the Newfs and their humans, terry, Staff and Dawson and their family, and Callie and Gramps are in my thoughts. Did I miss anyone? I hope not. One last check of the quilt’s parimeter looks like everyone is tucked snuggly in place.

    Good Morning All!

The Prof, the Smoochers, and I are getting ready for my lightning bolt appointment. I woke to cuddles for Sammie, some relaxing pawflexology from Masquers, motherly love from Luna, Belle Starr sitting on my head, and smooches from Kat. (Whispering) OHs, I think she will need another bath when she gets home, but for today, I’ll ask Nurse Lisa to rub some lavender on her.
