Wedding Report
“How was your daughter’s wedding?” says Spence.
“Perfect,” says Admin. “The personalities and characters of the two principals were present in every moment.”
“Got a picture of you dancing in your dark suit?”
“Perhaps later. Much. But here’s a picture of the room at Mass MoCA where the ceremony took place. Part of the Invisible Cities installation formed the backdrop. And the backdrop behind everything was the Berkshires, one of the country’s most beautiful corners, in my opinion.”

Greetings!
What a lovely place to have a wedding!
SiberH: Yankees won! Whooohooooo! Got to give to Raul Ibanez!
T&G: I may not be able to splort at will like my VBFF, but I’m mad enough to chew a pant leg! How dare these people treat your mum and dad in such a fashion…I’ll have to chew on my desk at the busy place!
Love to see Admin in his dark suit!
Good day to all.
9:02 am on October 11th, 2012
Admin, totally correct on the Berkshires being the best background!
Zoë and I might get out today. Together. Weird. Doing some errands and then some lunch.
Morning Rose.

Staff – Thank you for that beautiful video. I love everything about the bird of paradise, especially that silly mating dance.
9:42 am on October 11th, 2012
Mollypop’s Mom,
I was amazed by how different they all are. My favorite was the one with bobbles on the end of two long stalks.
9:42 am on October 11th, 2012
Berkshires!…I thought those were s-h-o-e-s…snort!…Never seen them. Maybe a vacation spot for next year…grunt!-as if-grunt!
10:05 am on October 11th, 2012
Hi Melanie, today seems like a lovely day for you and Zoe to get out and enjoy the fresh fall air.
Sammie and Molly’s Mom, let’s go Yankees!
Rio! If ever you are on the East Coast, or in New York, you and your friend have a standing invitation with me and the Prof.

Good Morning to a Better day and to All of youse.
Chet, Spence and Admin: The picture is Beautiful!!!
More photos, Please! One of Admin & daughter perhaps?
10:54 am on October 11th, 2012
I’ve never seen the Berkshires either. My favorite backdrop would be the Rocky Mountains, the Alaska Range, or the Brooks Range.
That is a beautful photo…very professional looking. More pictures, please, Spence.
10:55 am on October 11th, 2012
I can’t help myself from doing this:
GO NATIONALS!
GO YANKEES!

The Tigers are going to win the World Series.
11:10 am on October 11th, 2012
Thanks for the photos, Stover. Mom’s favorite is the waterfall.
The trees in autumn color are beautiful.
ok
GO TIGERS!
11:12 am on October 11th, 2012
LOL! Now someone has to bake me a pie. My favorite is Southern Pecan.
11:23 am on October 11th, 2012
I can’t cook, but Stover does deserve a pie for cheering for the Tigers. We do have very good cooks here on the blog.
11:51 am on October 11th, 2012
Good morning, All. I have been to the Berkshires and can attest to their beauty, because Mom told me that the scenery was splendid while I slept.
11:53 am on October 11th, 2012
I can’t bake either, but love pecan pie.
Go, Tigers! Go Nationals!
Now who is the pie maker?
Staff & B: Thank you for the links.
Kat: You are funny.
12:14 pm on October 11th, 2012
Masquers, she kept yelling at me to wake up and look at the scenery, but have you ever tried to stay awake in a moving car? Can’t be done.
Siber, I want to see snow like you talk about, but right now I am having a blast in the leaves.

12:26 pm on October 11th, 2012
Good morning all – oh, wait a minute…its afternoon already! Yikes! Guess we better stop playing on Amazon, and get to work. (whispering – we did get some wonderful new CD’s though)
12:30 pm on October 11th, 2012
T&G, We posted to you this morning, while catching up on last night’s blog.
12:30 pm on October 11th, 2012
Oops
12:36 pm on October 11th, 2012
Howlers: Heh, heh. Easy to do.
Kat! You’re not trying to be a 2-legged are you? (lovely photo of the leaves)
Royals, Melanie & Zoe: I hope you all are having a beautiful day.
12:47 pm on October 11th, 2012
It is quite beautiful today. Zoë and I did get out and went to a little place called Look Restaurant. They have Gluten-Free food.
I am thinking of doing a rode trip to the top of Mount Greylock with Patsy. The colors are gorgeous. The only problem is I have tried to get to the top of Mount Greylock three times and haven’t made it yet. One time was called “The Road Trip from Hell” by a much younger YSAS. snicker. EVERYTHING went wrong.
Perhaps Patsy and I will have better luck on our own!
12:55 pm on October 11th, 2012
SiberH: Et tu Brute?
Kat, you look like you are having sooo much fun!!! Wish I was there, we could bury each other in the leaves!
Masquers, my dear friend…you have slayed my heart. Tigers?
1:00 pm on October 11th, 2012
psst, Wolfie – don’t tell Mama we told you, but the email for that stupid producer is sugarloafnewyork@gmail.com
We normally wouldn’t post something like that, but that naughty producer is now telling MAma that she gave her that spot because Mama requested somewhere on grass, where she could camp and have her dog.
Huh? Mama does NOT camp, and never asked for any such thing. AND it turns out that they have never set artists up in that alcove before, so the producer was talking sideways when she said the area would be packed.
And we have now heard from some customers from our mailing list who were looking for Mama’s booth and couldn’t find it.
This is one time when we (almost) wish we were dogs so we could grrrrrrrrrr…..
Oops – we gotta go. Mama said we can’t talk about this anymore.
1:03 pm on October 11th, 2012
Trying to figure out what to say to this producer . . .
Pondering . . .
1:29 pm on October 11th, 2012
Oh, The email for the producer. I thought that was a great idea of Wolfie’s last night.
1:58 pm on October 11th, 2012
Here’s a fall picture.
2:13 pm on October 11th, 2012
Bee – that is a beautiful picture. We can just imagine sitting under that red tree, gently nibbling on a piece of butterscotch pie…..
2:31 pm on October 11th, 2012
Here’s another tree for you T&G:

Don’t worry…it is not sad.
2:40 pm on October 11th, 2012
BStover, beautiful pictures. Thanks for the link. I saw the city of Pittsfield on a map in those pics.
T&G. Grrrrrr that lady is gonna be sorry. Obviously she is a very disorganized person.
Kat, you look like you are having a great time. Were you playing frisbee with the leaves?
2:46 pm on October 11th, 2012
Admin: Beautiful setting.
BStover: I will make you a Southern Pecan pie. The Berkshires are breathtaking in Autumn colors. Go Tigers.
I am “kayaker.” Kayaker and horseback rider 101.
I am on Vancouver Island watching some huge salmon jumping through the water.
2:50 pm on October 11th, 2012
O.Howlers: This incredible story shows, without a doubt, the senses of the nation within go beyond the normal 5…One Step Beyond.
B: Beautiful photos! Is that a park setting?
HerbKats: That Stupid Producer is in for it now! We can all claim we were looking for the booth of Golinka and the Storyteller, but could not find it. This may at least result in the refund of the booth fees.
2:57 pm on October 11th, 2012
Kat: You are amazing. Meashka and Dima think so too.
Sammie: You noticed that this is special day.
Hello to the Awesome One!
Rose: We’ll find a way.
3:05 pm on October 11th, 2012
Bear: There is a 25-mile parkway near me and the pictures were taken there.
3:42 pm on October 11th, 2012
The trees in this area are changing slowly, but so far we haven’t had the brilliant scarlets and oranges. We hope they are still to come, but it has been a couple of years since we had super color in the foliage.
But we still love autumn – crisp air, cool nights for sleeping, pumpkin and apple flavored everything.
If only it didn’t lead to snow….
3:50 pm on October 11th, 2012
I love autumn but I love snow also.
3:53 pm on October 11th, 2012
There are several lakes in the parkway also:
4:26 pm on October 11th, 2012
B: The sunlight on the water is lovely. How far from where you live is the parkway?
4:30 pm on October 11th, 2012
Bear: The parkway is less than one mile from me.
4:57 pm on October 11th, 2012
B: I can make you a store-bought-with-love pie.
5:07 pm on October 11th, 2012
Thank you Rebecca.
5:13 pm on October 11th, 2012
Bella – that reminds us of a funny story. For years, Mama would bring sugar-free apple pie to gatherings or for church pie sales or whatever. Everyone always raved about them – couldn’t believe they were sugar-free, etc. And they loved the light flakey crusts.
One woman begged Gramp to get the recipe. She went on and on about the crust.
Eventually, Mama wrote down the ingredients for the filling. And on a separate piece of paper, folded and sealed, she wrote down the secret of the crust – not to be passed along to anyone else. When unsealed, the directions read:
“Go to the frozen food aisle of Stop and Shop, and purchase an Oronoco brand deep-dish pie crust two pack. Thaw and fill and bake. Hide the wrapper at the bottom of the trash, and just modestly accept the praise for the light, flakey crust”
That lady sent Mama a thank you note and told her she had changed her life. tee hee
5:17 pm on October 11th, 2012
B: Happy to do it if you will promise to ignore the box from the bakery I’ve put in the burn pile.
T&G: I knew your mum and I were related—it sounds like the same secret, family recipe I’ve been sworn to keep.
5:17 pm on October 11th, 2012
Hello, thought we better check in before anyone started to worry. Barb was gone all day yesterday. Traveling, two dentist trips (filling fell out an hour after she left his office), picked up chickens, did a little visiting. This morning she left for a short shopping trip and was gone for hours. Had to take advantage of end of season sales: gas grill, patio set, and also a new microwave for the kitchen project.
Rio, those are not Berkshires, they are Berkenstocks (sp?). Does your friend wear them?
When Barb stopped at her old office yesterday the office assistant was on the phone and she told someone “I haven’t did nottin yet”. Shudder! We don’t miss that place at all.
5:21 pm on October 11th, 2012
Dawson promised a pie too, but how will she ever have time to bake with all the kayaking, horseback riding and salmon watching?
But then again, she IS the Awesome One.
Bella: Baked or bought, the “with love” is the magic ingredient.
5:45 pm on October 11th, 2012
Rebecca: I promise.
5:55 pm on October 11th, 2012
Youse guys remind me of one of my favorite lines from the Mary Tyler Moore show. There was a character called Phyllis who was a rich snooty person and one time she was asked if she had made something.
Her reply, proudly, “I bought it MYSELF.”
I have used that line many times.
5:57 pm on October 11th, 2012
Magpie: Thanks for checking in. Barb is now the bargain hunter extraordinaire! You live in an area filled with treasures and new things to explore. It will be fun to shop for the holidays.
Apparently CLL has sunk to a new low in your absence…what with the hiring of such a “capable” new office assistant…right out of them-there-hills.
How did the chicken run go?
6:18 pm on October 11th, 2012
Here’s fall in Long Island!

6:48 pm on October 11th, 2012
The fall pictures posted today are just awesome. Tomorrow Barb will post a couple of shots of some decorating going on here. Our picutures can not compete with the splendor of nature, so we will wait till tomorrow.
Bear, Do you mean them hills over yonder?
6:51 pm on October 11th, 2012
Fall is my favorite season.
Snowbella, please check SDD.
7:03 pm on October 11th, 2012
We are loving the Fall pictures from Bee and Terry. The trees here are just beginning to turn. We won’t have full-blast Fall colors for another 2 weeks we think.
Maggie, sounds like Barb is enjoying her new life. We hope you get to go shopping too real soon.
7:05 pm on October 11th, 2012
That is lovely Terry.
7:06 pm on October 11th, 2012
Melanie: Checked and responded.
7:13 pm on October 11th, 2012
Up until a few years ago AJ and I didnt have an oven. I always brought store-bought-with-love to potlucks. People knew we didn’t have an oven so they kept there expectations low and were just happy we showed up. Once we got an oven, it was a lot of pressure.
7:16 pm on October 11th, 2012
Another beautiful photo! Thanks, Terry.
Rio: Guess who we saw on the latest episode of Vegas! Our old friend from Breaking Bad, Jonathan Banks, better known as Mike. In this series he also plays a bad@$$…a gangsta from the East Coast.
Barb&Magpie: Yep…them’s the ones.
7:52 pm on October 11th, 2012
I went to the doctor about the blood clot. It’s basically gone since it was a small superficial one, as they called it. I did have an ultrasound to make sure that was all.
Now I have Sammie with me on her first day as a working dog. She likes it here even though it was dark by the time we arrived. She will be very happy tomorrow if the weather lets us get outside.
Rio – Sam is NOT allowed to bring her iPaw with her. She is such a tattle tail.
8:04 pm on October 11th, 2012
Quilt show set up done and done. Tomorrow the quilt ladies do their thing big time. Mom will be gone all day but dad and grandpa will keep me company.
And for those who hadn’t heard, the Nationals beat St. Louis, 2-1, with a walk-off homer in the bottom of the ninth sealing the deal. Tomorrow will be the deciding game. Go Nationals!!!
Wookie
8:13 pm on October 11th, 2012
MollyPop’s Mom: That is very good news!
All the photos posted today are just stunning!
T&G , youse guys should have told me about the big shew in Sugarloaf ! Prof and I could do that trip, and I would have gone right up to that producer person and bit their face! How dare that person treat my adoptive mum and the Storyteller that way! Grrrrrrrrrrr!
8:14 pm on October 11th, 2012
Wookie: Today was a tough one as we are diehard St. Louis fans, but happy to hear your team won. Who will the Nationals be playing tomorrow?
Do you think you could somehow sneak us a photo of the Great Quilt show?
8:16 pm on October 11th, 2012
Wookie, it would really be something if the World Series is an I-95 series.
8:18 pm on October 11th, 2012
Belle Starr: I hope you have been taking very good care of your two-legged.
Rio, are you there?
8:21 pm on October 11th, 2012
MollyPop’s Mom: We here on the blog are relieved to hear the doc gave you the official all is well. And, good to know Sammie will be there waiting on you hand and paw (or will it be the other way around?)
Yes, where are you Rio?
8:23 pm on October 11th, 2012
I dropped by the Rescue Ink facility tonight to do some closeups of the dogs up for adoption. Before going out back, I saw Rescue Ink founder Joe Panz with my favorite kitten clutched to his chest. Couldn’t resist. You can’t beat this for a study in contrasts.

8:26 pm on October 11th, 2012
Terry: Awwwwwww!
8:27 pm on October 11th, 2012
Signing off soon to watch Fight Night otherwise known as the vice presidential debate.

8:33 pm on October 11th, 2012

We must turn off the computer now. See y’all in the morning.
8:38 pm on October 11th, 2012
Masquers, yes the Prof and I are getting quite excited. We will be doing the woolies shopping soon. I hope my VBFF doesn’t splort on either one of us when we meet!
8:39 pm on October 11th, 2012
Night, Masquers. Night, Bear.
8:41 pm on October 11th, 2012
Rio? Are you on your brutal walk? You know I worry about you.
8:53 pm on October 11th, 2012
We are getting ready to watch the debate as well. Can I call you Joe?
That Ink founder is one hunky guy!
8:54 pm on October 11th, 2012
Wose: did my two legged ever respond to your last email. Whatever she said or didn’t say, the answer is yes!
8:57 pm on October 11th, 2012
I wonder if Princess Sam would call me a hunky guy if I held a cute, little kitten?
9:00 pm on October 11th, 2012
Terry – thanks for that picture. Our cockles are officially warmed.
9:07 pm on October 11th, 2012
T&G: I read cookies instead of cockles. Taking a page from BSD’s book, I’m hungry. I wonder if we have any cookies in this here house.
9:08 pm on October 11th, 2012
Excellent news Mollypop’s Mom.
10:01 pm on October 11th, 2012
Home!…My friend got home really late and then didn’t take us on a walk because it is dark and windy out…yippee!…Then she had to eat something because she has not eaten all day long…grunt!…Now we are watching the talk-over-each-other “debate”…grumble!
10:05 pm on October 11th, 2012
Photoz!…The Fall photos are amazing!…snort!… We have a ton of trees around here, but nothing looks that good. Not unless you go up into the mountains….wuffle! …The one of the big guy and the little kitten is interesting. Looking at the angle of the shot I’m wondering if Terry is really that short, or the guy is really that tall…heh!
10:27 pm on October 11th, 2012
Rio: So glad you made it to this here blog!

Night Howlers. I was looking at the group picture with your mom from this summer. What fun!
10:52 pm on October 11th, 2012
Rio: I’m glad you think I’m getting closer because the slim Jim rhubarb pie with a side of beer looks an awful like two slim Jim’s sitting in an store bought pie crust (still packaged).
10:58 pm on October 11th, 2012
Titles!…Has anyone sent in any more titles? Have we heard about a deadline yet?…grunt!…I feel one more good one coming, but its not quite here yet. I’d hate to miss out on sending it in once it gets here…wheeze!

Can’t you just see Chet in a torn t-shirt standing under a balcony, yelling “Stell-A!”
11:24 pm on October 11th, 2012
Bat!..Whoa! The batters bat broke and flew all the way to the pitchers mound and hit the pitcher…shudder!…Luckily he had turned his back to see the action behind him, unfortunately it hit the Yankee pitcher on his pitching arm…snort!…Now that pitcher is out. Major welt above his elbow it looks like. What a Fluke!…wheeze!
11:27 pm on October 11th, 2012

Good night Chet.

Terry: AJ is 6’4.” all the photos in our house at hung at his eye level. And, if you need stairs or a ladder built, better ask me. If he builds either, you’ll need a running start to make the first step. 😉
