Wedding?
“What’s this about a wedding?” Admin says.
“Not sure,” says Spence. “It’s hard to keep up with all these people. Is Princess Anne still around? Princess Margaret? If you run into them do you say, Yo, Princess?”
“Not sure. Hard to put yourself in the heads of heriditary rulers who don’t rule. I’m guessing they’d be a bit touchy.”
“But meanwhile,” Spence says, “back in the land of the free, a big thanks to Melanie – with input from BearSpiritDog – for figuring out the Iditarod patch thing. If she doesn’t mind, I’ll have a little discussion with David B. and then email her next week.”
Bear? Did someone say bear? For a long time I’d only seen bears on Animal Planet. Then came … maybe a story for another time. But isn’t it in The Dog Who Knew Too Much?
Welcome Sophia, two adventurers, Prisca, Peaches, Sneakers.

There’s a bear in Dog Who? Five more months…… Way to go Melanie and BearSpiritDog! Do you realize that the wedding of Charles and Diane was thirty years ago? Good grief….I need more coffee.
Good morning Chet and everyone.

Good morning, Bee and all.
Bee, did you understand why I was having so much trouble getting to the email site? It was because Yahoo is my home page for my own email, and I never sign off, so when I go to Yahoo, and click on Mail, it automatically goes to my email. Sooo I had to sign off first, go back in and then sign on again as dish. Finally got it figured out. Rio missed that step, because he didn’t know about my personal email address. Old broads (Barb)and tech do not mesh!
Hat tip to Melanie and BSD for the special recogition!
Barb is off for a bit of running around. BBL

Lions!…and Tigers and Bears! Oh no!…snort!…My friend is off today with her friends to see the Lions from Bolivia….sniff!…Or some foreign place – something to do with Bob Barker…huh?… Anyways, I am left to my own devious ways here at home…grunt!
Staff!…I hope Staff is feeling better…snort!…Tell Alice to get off your lap and tell AbbieTheKat to take a few laps…heh!
10:07 am on April 23rd, 2011
Hi Barb. Yes I understood the problem. Our dish site can be the place BearSD was talking about a few weeks ago–we can store some of our things there.
I’m going to do some gardening….but not yet. Everything is still wet from last night’s thunderstorms but it certainly got the grass green, over night actually. It’s 58 here already and sunny! Haven’t seen the sun for a week or perhaps it just seems that long.
10:09 am on April 23rd, 2011
Hi Rio. Bob Barker as in someone on some show on tv? Well, have fun friend of Rio.
Staff: Please let us know how you’re doing.
10:19 am on April 23rd, 2011
Good Morning.
Before I forget…because I forgot at least 3 times yesterday…Basil and Sage: You made Friends of Chet! You are beautiful cats and deserve to be pampered.
Staff: I hope you are feeling better. Get Mr. Staff to pamper you.
BearSpiritDog: Whoopee! You figured it out.
Bob Barker: Bringing 25 lions to Colorado???
I’m off to work. In the car.
10:21 am on April 23rd, 2011
Okay, it may sound silly, but when I think about the patch, I get a little teary eyed.
Why?
Because it warms my heart to see so many people doing the right thing for all the right reasons.
Because we are able to help some wonderful folks achieve their dreams.
Because….well, you know. Just because.
10:39 am on April 23rd, 2011
Good morning Dawson and soft-hearted Wolfie.
I really should get out to the garden but a friend recommended a book (The Eight by Katherine Neville) that I started reading….614 pages….
10:39 am on April 23rd, 2011
I am easily confused, but didn’t Commander Rio get this started when he suggested an auction? Whoop! Whoop!
And go Melanie! You rock! I really hope that we can have Whitey Lance (or at least his red and white striped jacket!) depicted on the patch!
And mom says that she knows people who want to buy the patch. Cool, eh?
10:43 am on April 23rd, 2011
On a personal note, the perp who hit Mom’s car is still in the clinker. The DA called and they are throwing the book at this guy because he has done this before.
Mom gets to go back to work on Monday.
11:05 am on April 23rd, 2011
Wolfie! That is great news. Perps belong in the clink or breaking hot rocks in orange jumpsuits. Hmmm…sounds like an excerpt from a book I read once…
11:14 am on April 23rd, 2011
SNOW? WHERE THE HECK DID THE THREE INCHES OF SNOW COME FROM?
I googled Bob Barker and lions. That is a cool thing he is helping with. Did you get a look at those small cages the lions were kept in? Now they’ll be in a wildlife sanctuary.
High FIve BearSpiritDog!
Wölfie: The dog with a golden heart. Not that you are a Golden, I mean you have a wonderful heart. Physically, that’s right, but I’m talking metaphorically, you have . . . WHERE’S THE CAFFEINE??
11:30 am on April 23rd, 2011
Three cheers for Melanmie and BearSpiritDog!
That is a very nice post up there Wolfie.
I’m happy that the perp is still in the clinker. He belongs there for the safety of the public.
11:34 am on April 23rd, 2011
I hope Staff feels better soon. I think, at least, she is finished at the busy place.
Melanie got 3 inches of snow!!!

Greetings to Plunderers – Natasha is making the final arrangements for trip to mysterious vedding. Ve hope none of the Plunderers haf been talking about this as is BIG secret. No von must know that ve vill be there.
Natasha has made plans for getting into vedding and party. This vill be involved and there must be cooperation from every von.
Volfie – you vill not need tuxedo after all…and don’t vorry about the curtsey thing. Trust Natasha, you vill already be down low enough to show respect to royal pipples.
The Lear jet has room for 10 in all. Ve can stop in locations and pick up 9 passengers.
And now, for nice surprise. Natasha vill come early, and ve can have some time in mystery location for leetle vacation. It vill be chance for all of you to try disguises, and still have nice time..maybe on nice sunny beach.
Pleeze let Natasha know if you vant go to vedding. Now must go vork on final touches of disguise.
Staff – hope you feel better.
Melanie and BSD – very nice vork
Volfie – happy your mom is ok and bad man is in clinker
Rio – do you still love Natasha? Hmmm, leetle Spugnik?
12:56 pm on April 23rd, 2011
Spence & Admin! Thank you for the special mention this morning! I must say – it was the ideas we all had as a pack that pulled everyting together. Chet: No worries. This “bear” is a friend of yours.
Yes!High-Five Melanie! It is your special talents that will bring the patch to life. Woo Hoo!
1:00 pm on April 23rd, 2011
Staff, Give us an update, please.
Wolfie (AKA Volfie), Glad your mom is ok. Some of these guys just keep getting off till they end up on the news because they have finally killed someone. Let’s hope they throw the book at him.
Speaking of books, Melanie, we liked the Donna Andrews book so much that Barb picked up another one in the series at the library this morning. This one is “Owls Well That Ends Well”. Did you read that one? Our little library has several, but not
Murder With Peacocks.
1:18 pm on April 23rd, 2011
Natasha
Ok, no tux. I will wear my new brown collar with the doggie bones.
1:43 pm on April 23rd, 2011
Nattie: Katy wants to go, but Grace says it’s too “fancy” for her. She’s a NNN or a No Nonsense Newf.
I’m not letting Mac or Franklin go. Dog knows what they would get up too. Ros would like to go if there is room, but Katy is the one who is dancing around like a happy Pug at the thought of going.
2:02 pm on April 23rd, 2011
I am NOT going to the wedding. That day I will be going to the dog park, reading the sports page, riding around in my truck, redesigning a hole, and watching baseball. I love the British as much as the rest of you, but I am not a hearts and flowers kind of guy. The Royals don’t have a very good track record when it comes to marriage.
I do like Lear jets.
A nice sunny beach! Oh No
2:33 pm on April 23rd, 2011
Hey everybody – better late than never. Mama is up to her elbows in clay, so she wouldn’t turn on the computer for us. Congrats Melanie and BSD.
And Wolfie (VOLFIE??) – you are a sweet, generous hearted doggie. No wonder Tashie is falling for you. (whispering) we really like your sense of humor too!
sheesh, it sounds like Staff has traded one “busy” place for another. Hope you are feeling better soon. That stomach buggie is going around here too – it sounds pretty nasty.
Well, one sculpture is done – time to wedge a new batch of clay.

p.s. – We got to see YSAS!!! He is awfully cute…and such a GOOD boy too.
2:36 pm on April 23rd, 2011
Thanks guys,
I feel somewhat better this morning. I am in front of the computer after all. I had some real food this morning. Cheerio’s and 1/2 a banana with milk. For lunch I will have a bottle of Ensure. Who knows what I will have for supper!
After the Ensure a nice nap.
This sure tires you out!

2:55 pm on April 23rd, 2011
Staff! We are relieved to hear you are feeling better! As T&G says, those stomach bugs are nasty. Please take care of yourself.
Wolfie: Since you aren’t required to wear the tux, the brown collar seems a very good choice. We always wear our brown collar for formal/dress-up affairs.
2:57 pm on April 23rd, 2011
Crap!….My friend is home already…snort!… She’s upset because the trip was postponed. Someone woke up sick as a dog (not her this time) and so the plans had to be changed. Or cancelled altogether…grump!
Pouting….She is going to work on her Auction Item and watch Harry Potter….sniff!…This is the one before the last 2 movies. I can’t remember the name of it…sniff!
3:22 pm on April 23rd, 2011
Staff: Hope you feel better soon. Did you know that Ensure is gluten free?
Riö: Sorry the trip was canceled. Bummer.
Been working on the practice cooking video. Jeez. I’ve got it down from 18 minutes to 9. YSAS will have to look at it next.
For the reel, he’s just going to have to talk less.
3:39 pm on April 23rd, 2011
But, you know what Melanie, he is entertaining when he talks. Mom and I love those videos you put up. I am not just saying this to be nice. Yes, I am usually nicer than Rio, but I am not THAT nice.
Glad you are feeling better Staff. Take the time you need to recover because those bugs zap a person.
3:54 pm on April 23rd, 2011
Melanie: Looking forward to videos of YSAS. We like that he will be staying in the “West Wing”!
3:58 pm on April 23rd, 2011
The sixth Harry Potter is HP and the Half Blood Prince. One of my favorites. Rio’s friend: I think you would enjoy the novels.
4:49 pm on April 23rd, 2011
Hello all! I arrived home late last night after spending the week north of the Arctic Circle for work and found myself missing the goings-on on the blog. It appears as though it’s been another active week for the Plunderers: car accidents, ACLs, wrist braces, licking dishes, vedding plans, computer problems, patches, and a mis-colored pug…nothing out of the ordinary, I suppose. Now, to hit on a few points that have come up as I’ve played catch-up on the blog…
I am happy to do what is necessary for the cookbook, yet I don’t know how to make it available to download after payment—I’m the first to admit that I’m not technically inclined. I’m not much of a cook, as I’ve self disclosed, yet I’m thinking of asking my mother if I could share her recipe for her carmel popcorn (a delicacy in our corner of the world).
A patch with Whitey-Lance in his jacket with Chet?—I love it. I can imagine both blokes, one clad in a red and white jacket with his in-case-I-get-lost note attached sitting side by side looking up at the burled arch like they just arrived in Nome together. I think I read a question on the blog about the Snowhook Kennel logo—it is something that is the design stage, but I lack the knowledge and skill to make it happen—for now we are a logoless kennel.
And here’s a did you know: Whitey-Lance is Orion’s running mate on the line. Why is this noteworthy? Well, Orion is a very special dog. As a rescue that found a home in the kennel; he was undernourished and lacked socialization with humans. He has gained weight and now requires belly rubs and hugs, but ranks low on the totem pole in the kennel. Given the chance, all the dogs will pick on him except one—Whitey-Lance. They finished the Iditarod together, side by side.
Glad to be back!
4:59 pm on April 23rd, 2011
Plunderers: I think we should sponser Orion as well as Whitey-Lance.
5:01 pm on April 23rd, 2011
Bee: I think you’re right — they’re buds!!!
5:13 pm on April 23rd, 2011
Wow: I have a bare patch of ground in my yard! It is 45 degrees and it is to get to 50! Although it is still freezing at night. I have all the windows and doors open to air out the house. Of course, once the snow melts everything looks dead and ugly until mid-June. Sorry about the snow Melanie –it looks like we are to get sleet for a couple of days; I couldn’t deal with 3″ of snow right now.
On another topic: I was practicing calligraphy and an intertwined N and W for Nastasha and Wolfie look very nice. I want to be ready in case there is an announcement forthcoming from the two of you. Weddings are very romantic and can give even the most clueless dogs ideas. And I wouldn’t call Natasha clueness. Be careful Wolfie {{{{sigh}}}}}
5:15 pm on April 23rd, 2011
Welcome back Rebecca!!!
Stover!! Sponsoring Orion is an excellent idea!! I’m all for it. It could sort of be in honor of all of us here on the blog that are rescues. I’m proud of Whitey-Lance for being a good friend to Orion.
(whispering) My mother isn’t much of a cook either, Rebecca, so you are not alone.
5:25 pm on April 23rd, 2011
I think there ought to be a new patch design every year then the plunderers and other fans can collect them.
With regards to the Snowhook Kennel logo, Rebecca– tell us what you have in mind and maybe we can help. We obviously have a lot of talent and enthusiasm on this board (and a real artist or two or three) and want to help however we can.
Do you think I should contribute my recipe for snow ice cream? It is not like it involves actual “cooking” and obviously the main ingredient might be missing from some of the plunderer locations. Pondering.
5:29 pm on April 23rd, 2011
CHarris: Yes you should offer that recipe to the cookbook. Those without snow could always use crushed ice.
5:37 pm on April 23rd, 2011
B. Stover: no, sorry….crushed ice won’t work; it is completely different. However, there is “eskimo ice cream” and the snow is an optional ingredient. The modern version involves whipped crisco, berries and sugar and loose snow can be added or not.
5:55 pm on April 23rd, 2011
Most of us live where we get some snow…it even snows here once in awhile. Gus and BooBear are snowless, but I think even Kirby got some snow last winter. Melanie gets so much snow that she could keep the Newfs in snow ice cream all winter long.
5:57 pm on April 23rd, 2011
Where is the map of the Plunderers? Doesn’t one exist somewhere?
Got to close the windows and doors, it is getting chilly.
6:12 pm on April 23rd, 2011
Rebecca!…She’s back! Finally!….Woooo!…So ole Whitey has a soft mushy heart for his pal Orion. What a great strory….snort!
Project! …Well, after completely trashing everything she had done initially, she started over from scratch…grunt!…..Things are progressing slowly but at least some progress has been made…sniff!… There is something she is still not happy with, but I don’t think she will start over again because she has used all her black paper up for those long rolls…heh! ….On ward and upward. I say figure out how to “hide” the imperfections and keep mushing forward on it….snuffle! …Like Whitey and Orion…heh!
6:24 pm on April 23rd, 2011
I’m sending a check to Snowhook toward sponsorship of Orion.
Don’t know if anyone else watches Doctor Who but the new season starts tonight at 9. BBC America is having a marathon all day.
6:32 pm on April 23rd, 2011
Shsll we ask Rebecca to let us know when we make the $500 toward Orion’s sponsorship like she did with Whitey-Lance? I really want to do this. I’ll send a check the first part of this week. Mom will sign it for me.
6:35 pm on April 23rd, 2011
I like the idea of sponsoring Orion, also!
About the cookbook, perhaps we can have one of the more techie Plunderers send off Dishlickers just as soon as Rebecca gives word that payment has been received. I did a little research and there are companies that will put together and print cookbooks. It seems as if the costs are less than $10 each, but the catch is that you need a minimum of 100 to start off, and payment needs to be received up front. To me, this is cost prohibitive for us, and besides, most folks like receiving information electronically.
However, the company that I work for has an affiliate that makes copies, has some excellent copiers and binding equipment. So we could have them print up books on an as needed basis and I can mail them out. I do get a discount and the price would be reasonable and we can pass mailing costs on to the buyer.
This would give us two options for delivery.
Just tossing some ideas out……
6:42 pm on April 23rd, 2011
Rio, tell your friend not to be so hard on herself! Her work is beautiful and amazing and unique! Mom says that I can personally bid on your friend’s masterpiece!
Caramel pop corn? Snow ice cream? Case noodles? Sounds really good to me!
6:45 pm on April 23rd, 2011
I am glad that Katy is going to the vedding. She is big. To be honest, Nattie scares me a little. She is beautiful and worldly and I am just a blurring country doggie. I am so grateful that Siber is her true love! Really, really grateful!
6:58 pm on April 23rd, 2011
Wolfie…NO I am not her true love. NO
7:32 pm on April 23rd, 2011
C Harris, you are getting chilly? It is above freezing! You said you sleep with your windows open when it is -20!
I am interested in the trip to the secret wedding. How secret is it? Do the parents know about it? Are there going to be many other people there? I, like Sam, do not care to be stepped on.
We do not eat anything that falls out of the sky.
7:55 pm on April 23rd, 2011
Wolfie! Is that really you behind the Vigglebut? I don’t know. Natasha is very clever and there’s something about the accent…
A big yes to sponsoring Orion. Bella, I love the story of how Whitey-Lance stands up for his running mate. What a great dog!
We like the idea of our cookbook in book form. Wouldn’t mind paying a little more and it would make a great gift.
8:00 pm on April 23rd, 2011
Macy – really? As short doggies, we consider anything that come from on high as having fallen from the sky….and ANYTHING that hits the floor is legally OURS!!! (Boy, was Gilly in for a surprise when Mama was chopping onions and dropped a slice one day! But she was determined to eat it – and you could tell from her expression that she really didn’t like it. Such a silly baby dog)
We want to sponsor Orion too! We are rescue doggies and proud of it. We were both pretty damaged when we came home to Mama, but we are both better now. Ok, so Gilly still has some issues now and then, but she actually did let Mama trim three whole claws the other night.
Rebecca – we are so honored to be part of Snowhook, to help in our small way. We don’t care a toot about race cars, or football teams or baseball games, but THIS is a sport we can get behind, especially since you and AJ have rescued dogs and given them a good and happy life.
GO GO SNOWhook!
8:20 pm on April 23rd, 2011
Orion!…I vote to sponsor Orion also!…snort!…Hopefully with the Auction and the Cookbook we can raise a whole lot more money for Snowhook!…woooo!
Progress!…My friend says she would be Honored to have any one of the Plunderers bid on and win one of her Projects…heh!….She wants to know if you’d like to see a work in progress or just wait till it is completely finished for the Auction?…sniff!….Also, she is feeling confident enough to maybe enter 2 or 3 projects if they come out absolutely perfect, that is…grunt! …What the hell? What is perfect? I ask you….huffle!
Movie!….Also she says she took a video of me at Pepper’s house and wants to know if anyone wants to see it….grump!… I told her NO. No one wants to see big ole Pepper shaking her toy around and me standing in the corner because I’m pissed as hell about not getting enough treats….grrrrummmp! …No worries on this front because she hasn’t loaded it on Utube yet…heh!…I doubt if she remembers how…chorkel!
8:21 pm on April 23rd, 2011
SiberH!…Are you watching the game tonight?…snort!…Its tied at 1-1 bottom of the fourth…sniff!
8:37 pm on April 23rd, 2011
Macy: yes I sleep with my bedroom windows open down to -20. The bedroom side of the house is protected by trees from wind. I am in fact sleeping with the windows wide open these days. From my earlier post, I was in the living room with the door and windows open and wind was swirling through the house…hence, I was chilly. The previous owner of the house clear cut trees on 3 sides of the house. So I get both the wind and in the summer the full sun beating down which makes it very hot. There is a period when the early mosquitoes first hatch that I can’t have anything open as they can get through screens and make my life miserable. Right now it is kind of my favorite time of year. I have planted a couple of trees but don’t see them actually shading/protecting my house before I leave.
8:41 pm on April 23rd, 2011
Yes, I am watching the game. GO ROCKIES!!!
8:44 pm on April 23rd, 2011
Rio: I’d like to see the project and the video.
8:47 pm on April 23rd, 2011
Rio’s Friend: (whispering) please put up the video of Rio & Pepper on YouTube. I’m sure he is just being modest. heh, heh.
8:54 pm on April 23rd, 2011
Whew, another long day!
YSAS now has a suit . . . He picks it up on Wednesday.
Now the following is NOT my fault. So no one get mad at me (Riö).
That’s Gilly with someone . . .
8:58 pm on April 23rd, 2011
Bella: Speaking of that note on Whitey-Lance’s jacket-I saw a picture of it once – I think it was on the Snowhook blog – but now don’t see it. Could you post it again?
9:08 pm on April 23rd, 2011
Melanie: Great photo!
CHarris: I believe Gus&BooBear’s doing/redoing the map of the Plunderers.
9:12 pm on April 23rd, 2011
GILLY!…..ARRRGH!….snort!…. How could you so blantantly throw yourself into the arms of MY Clarkson!…groan!…Oh this is terrible, just terrible….sniffle!…Whatever is a Pug clear across the country to do?….sob!sob!sob!
9:27 pm on April 23rd, 2011
Oh dear…Rio will feel beter if the Rockies win tonight.
9:33 pm on April 23rd, 2011
SiberH!…They are ahead by 3 –1 so far….sniff!… I just hope Clarkson didn’t get fleas…grump!…Why is Clarkson in focus and Gilly is not in focus….sniff!sniff!…Maybe this is a fake photo and she was never really in his arms and he, thank dog, did not get fleas after all…heh! …Just something to chew on, I guess….baseball! …Wooooo!
9:57 pm on April 23rd, 2011
I don’t know if two-leggeds can use Frontline. I don’t think there is a flea product on the market for humans.
This could very well be one of Melanie’s fake photos.
10:07 pm on April 23rd, 2011
Weight!….Here is a photo taken of me today while I was unaware, because I was trying to nap….snort!…She is accusing me of gaining back all the weight I lost last summer because all I did this winter was sleep and eat. Sleep and Eat…grump!…Well, what the hell is a guy who is house-bound supposed to do anyways?….gruffle!
10:09 pm on April 23rd, 2011
Woo Woo Rockies Won!!!
I’m signing off early. I still don’t have my own computer back and this one is driving me loco. The frazzled keyboard is the worst part of it.
Night All
10:09 pm on April 23rd, 2011
Rockies!….Winnit!…Woooo!

10:29 pm on April 23rd, 2011
Yeah Rockies!!! Great photo, Commander Rio. And I would definitely want to see the video with Agent Pepper. Been a long week (good for me, but very hectic for mom and dad) but I will check in more tomorrow. Wookie
10:45 pm on April 23rd, 2011
Rio – glad you are happy about the Rockies, but you just have to deal with the fact that someone happens to like Gilly – and she likes (and licks) him. She was so happy to see him that she just couldn’t stop wiggling and squiggling. She was trying to wag her butt, and give him kisses and tell him all about life in general. Told ya – Gilly is kind of flighty.
We are excited about some of the recipes that people are proposing. How DOES one make caramel popcorn?? I mean think about it – how come the popcorn doesn’t just get mushy?
And WHAT is snow ice cream. We want some! And we can just go up to Melanie’s to get the snow. tee hee
YSAS has a new suit – look out New York!
Rio – we would love to see your friend’s project as it goes along. Mama is thinking of what to make for the auction – she can post “as it goes” photos too (whispering) once she gets it started that is….
Mama says we can go to the big “vedding” but we have to stay with our cousins so we don’t get into any trouble hanging out with Nefarious characters.
11:04 pm on April 23rd, 2011
So.
Nattie, Gilly, Tupperware, Macy and I are headed to somewhere for the very secret vedding. I mean, secret wedding. We have five more openings, right, Nattie?
You know, when I typed in Gilly, the ipaw autocorrected to gillyflowers. Isn’t that sweet?
11:10 pm on April 23rd, 2011
Okay!…Since a few of you guys have asked for it, she has agreed to post the progress photo’s….snort!… She hopes this will not interfere with the final bidding on the project…grunt!…If it doesn’t finish up as planned it will be scrapped as an Auction Item anyways…huffle!
11:19 pm on April 23rd, 2011
Vedding!….I might be able to sneak out for the Vedding…snort!…It’s hard to tell right now. She would never let me go that far from home, so I would have to do it undercover….grunt!…I just don’t know if I can pull it off. She likes to know where I am at all times…wheeze!
11:24 pm on April 23rd, 2011
Hi Wolfie – you know what – Gilly’s full name IS GillyFlower. As you know, Corgis are Welsh, and they have folk tales of how Corgis are the “horses” for the fairies, and the fairies love to decorate them with wreaths of bright colored flowers that we would call Gerber daisies, but in Wales they call them Gilly Flowers.
(whispering) Don’t forget, Katy wants to go to the “vedding” too.
Rio – that is really interesting – it will be great to watch the progress…what is it going to be? We think you said it was not going to be flowers?
11:34 pm on April 23rd, 2011
Project!…It is not going to be Flowers…heh! …Watch and if you cannot tell what it is in the next few photos, then we really do have a problem…grunt!
Commandments!….We are watching the Ten Commandments, so we will be up for some time tonight…snort!…We will not fall asleep! We will not fall asleep!…huffle!…We always fall asleep. This year We Will Not Fall Asleep!…yark!yark!

Rio: do you help your friend with her projects? (By the way, it is beautiful)! Our dogs help me all the time. For example, they sit on my lap when I’m trying to sew dog jackets or booties, run off into the trees with my hammer just as I’m ready to pound nails, or use the laptop as a pillow when I try to post on Chet’s blog; then there is of couse, Lefty’s dedication to keeping my gloves safe with him (I am obviously far to careless with my gloves to keep them for my own).

Rebecca!… I help her all the time. But she does not appreciate me at all huffing and puffing over her small little paper objects…grunt!…They seem to get stuck to my nose at just the wrong time or blown away with an inadvertent sneeze or cough….grump!…Damn those small paper objects…grump!
Project!…She says it is far from beautiful yet…heh!…Lots of small paper stuff to do yet to make it what it is supposed to be…grunt!….She has a vision. But it may be far-sighted at best…cough!

Bella – those sound like our kind of dogs! (we don’t really want to meet them – we have heard about huskies and Kats)
We’re really good at helping Mama read the paper, cook and we LOVE to help when she and Dad are making jewelry – it’s FUN to bat beads all over the floor!

Helping!…It’s the only way to be a good companion to our friends…heh!…Right there, up close and Helping…snort! ….They couldn’t do it without us really, that’s how I feel anyways…sneeze!cough!

Hooray: Staff is feeling better.
Boo: Three inches of snow for Melanie.
Rio: That’s a nice photo of you but your wrinkles seemed to have been smoothed out. Hey, I’d love to see the video of you and Pepper. And your friend’s project? I thought from the first photo that you were going to put a dog on the end of each of those lines for a sled dog team. Now it looks like a fan. Hmmmm. I don’t think you should trash your projects if they aren’t “perfect”. They might be worth some real money at the auction.
Natasha: I love trying on disguises and am very sad that I won’t be able to attend the “vedding” because I will be traveling incognito and under the radar at that time.
Volfie Vigglebutt: Vill you be vearing your vild vild vest to the vedding?
C.Harris: Snow ice cream. Yes.

Englandsomewhere secret. My ears must of course be visible. Hmm, I think I will *yawn* sleep on it.1:15 am on April 24th, 2011

Hi, everybody!! Hope everybody had a wonderful Easter. Yesterday, Mom decided to clean, clean, clean and would not turn on the computer because she knew if she let us check the blog, she would not get much done.
Dawson, we know what you mean about auction items. We have a strange idea and want some imput as to whether or not y’all think this may work to raise some money. Several years ago, Dad gave Mom a really cool western jacket. It is leather and cloth, a fitted size 10. She never wore it because it wasn’t cut right for her, so it is in new condition. She wouldn’t mind donating it for a good cause like Snowhook’s auction, but don’t know if it would be of interest to anyone. We’re going to post pictures of the front and back. Let us know what you think. We won’t get our feelings hurt if you think it just isn’t what could bring in money for Snowhook.
