“Anything to say about General Petraeus?” Spence says.
“Nope,” says Admin.
“What about Afghanistan in general?”
“Kipling already said it –
And the end of the fight
is a tombstone white
with the name of the late deceased —
and the epitaph drear:
“A fool lies here
who tried to hustle the East!”“
“Have you ever heard that old joke?”
“Yes.”
“The one where a young woman is asked if she liked Kipling and she says she didn’t know – she’s never kippled?”
“I already said yes.”
Welcome Cassie (Go Ags!), Isabella.

Good morning, all! Mom and Dad are at the hospital waiting for things to happen.
So, is there going to be the holiday boutique AND an auction? Mom does have a couple of donations but they are probably better for the boutique than the auction. She also wants to help with a checkpoint but can’t really do anything until she gets back home!
Keep the fingers and paws crossed for the chemo procedure. Thank you guys for the support. It means the world to us.
8:42 am on November 13th, 2012
All paws and fingers crossed here, G&BB. Get your mom and dad back under the quilt after the procedure is done.
9:00 am on November 13th, 2012
G&BB: The quilt is awaiting your shoulders. You are in my prayers. As far as your question, yes there will be an auction and a holiday boutique.
9:12 am on November 13th, 2012
Greetings!
G&BB, youse guys and your mom and dad are always close to my heart.
Bella: Will be sending a check your way shortly. Where is my VBFFF? Send her some tummies from me.
9:17 am on November 13th, 2012
Wamblin’ Wose: I am in my two-legged’s arms right now getting tummies. She is avoiding getting out of the soft, warm bed into a cold house before she gets the fire going. I like when she gives me early morning tummies.
9:31 am on November 13th, 2012
Kipling was the first English writer to win the Nobel Prize in 1907. Spence is giving Admin a hard time.
Check in when you can G&BB.
Good morning all.
10:04 am on November 13th, 2012
Good to hear from you Gus and BooBear. You are in our thoughts.
I have to go take pictures for Dawsons boutique items today.
And the cranes are flying NOW!
They are broadcasting live at http://ustre.am/A5FD come and check it out!
busy busy busy!

I still remember the first time I heard that joke. It was my BFF in high school who told it to me. She lived on Kipling Ave.
Many years ago.
10:10 am on November 13th, 2012
Love in excess brings man no honor (apologies to Euripides and B. Stover) Our thoughts on the matter? Many a powerful man has lived to regret answering the siren call of forbidden love.
We like Kipling. Interesting to know he was the first English writer to win the Nobel Prize.
G&BB: Sending positive thoughts and strong prayers your way.
11:00 am on November 13th, 2012
We are adding our prayers to the many already expressed for G & B’s mom and dad.
The Petraeus scandel circle seems to be widening. Now there is more talk of another General and Jill Kelley. These guys!
So Holly is “beyond furious”. Go figure! And of course they are always sooo sorry. Barb used to work in a very male dominated field, especially when she started in 1986. The guys had two phrases they joked about – Deny, deny, deny. And “It is better to ask for forgiveness than permission”.
11:07 am on November 13th, 2012
We like Kipling too. He lost a son in WW I.
Gus&BooBear, All paws crossed for you guys today. Glad you were able to checkin with us.
Good Morning everyone!
11:22 am on November 13th, 2012
We love the story of Rikki-Tikki-Tavi because he was the hero that we each try to be.
Pop read that the largest percentage of would-be cheaters work in the IT/Engineering field. Gah! Both the rents are I/T engineers!
11:33 am on November 13th, 2012
Gus and BooBear – we are right there with you in your corner. Its gonna be ok.
Mama is still gritting her teeth – musttering something about nuetering certain “celebrities” so they would only have to think with one head….
Mama almost lost out on one of her favorite authors. Her introduction to Kipling was by the driest, most incredibly boring, monotonatic English teacher, who thought “Kim” was the best book ever written and spent most of the year droning on and on…..and on about it. After that, Mama swore to never, ever read Kipling again. Until her wise, teacher mother brought home “The Jungle Book” with “Riki Tiki Tavi” included. Who woulda thought?
11:34 am on November 13th, 2012
I’m laughing at Masquer’s “love in excess” comment. I suppose it depends how one defines love. The whole thing seems like a poorly written James Bond novel turned into a poorly directed James Bond film. (Sorry.)
11:39 am on November 13th, 2012
T&G: I’m cracking up.
11:48 am on November 13th, 2012
About that Patreus dude… Why do 2-leggeds care so much more about what other 2-leggeds do in private with each other than they care about what the 2-leggeds do in public?
If Misha Moonman would have had a hottie on the side, Sasha might have minded, but do you think Dima would have cared? Heck no, as long as Moon was holding up his end of the critter-clearing duties!
11:49 am on November 13th, 2012
Belle Starr: You are in the best place to be right now! Sometimes I give the Prof tummies, and rub his head.
11:50 am on November 13th, 2012
Awesome Dawson, Please check your SDD when able.
12:05 pm on November 13th, 2012
CheckPoint!…Is my checkpoint fully funded yet?…snort!snort!
12:06 pm on November 13th, 2012
Dawson, I saw something about white and fluffy last night. Were you talking about Mom?
All our best to the fellow Texan bunch.
12:07 pm on November 13th, 2012
One article I read in the NYTimes stated that one of the required readings in military schools is the essay, “’The Bathsheba Syndrome: The Ethical Failure of Successful Leaders,’ that recalls the moral failure of the Old Testament’s King David, who ordered a soldier on a mission of certain death — solely for the chance to take his wife, Bathsheba.”
12:11 pm on November 13th, 2012
Macy! Good to hear from you! How’s your Mom enjoying her new job these days?
12:13 pm on November 13th, 2012
Off to get snow tires put on the car B4 the white stuff arrives.
12:15 pm on November 13th, 2012
Oh dear – Mama just ran across a notice of a brother and sister Corgi that are up for adoption. They have to go together. She is trying to figure out how to fit 4 Corgi beds into her bedroom. We say that if she got rid of two Wrotten Kats, we might have room for two more Royal Corgis.
But Callie doesn’t seem to pleased with the notion….
12:17 pm on November 13th, 2012
Fur!….That would be Corgi fur times four…heh!heh!cough!
12:18 pm on November 13th, 2012
I just counted the number of checkpoints we covered last year.
We sponsored all 25 of them!
12:18 pm on November 13th, 2012
Tupper&Gilly: HaHa Talking Heads!
12:19 pm on November 13th, 2012
T&G, Nobody should live with less than 4 of us! 🙂
12:19 pm on November 13th, 2012
Siber-H: And we will again this year!
12:22 pm on November 13th, 2012
It was fun celebrating each of our checkpoints as Snowhook arrived at them.
12:25 pm on November 13th, 2012
Wha?
Okay, okay, I’m awake.
I believe all correspondence has been replied to at the correct email addresses. Now can I have my coffee?
Except possibly Rio: Rio, your checkpoint has already reached over the halfway mark of funding!
SiberH: Has also reached over the halfway mark for his checkpoint. Siber is $5. ahead of Rio in donations.
If you are broke right now, do not despair. We still have a three months to sponsor all these checkpoints and there are still 15 (approx.) left to be sponsored.
I do not accept money. All checks to be sent to Snowhook directly. I am only keeping a running tally to let you know when the checkpoints are fully funded. If you do send me money I will undoubtably use it to go to Willow for the start of the Iditarod! WhoooHooo! Send me money!
Gus&BooBear: Our prayers will be going out today for the chemo treatment for your Dad to go smoothly and for him to have minimum ill effects.
Men with boners, ad nauseum. Yawn.
12:27 pm on November 13th, 2012
SnowBella (or anyone who knows) Question here: Doesn’t the Iditarod route alternate each year? In other words, shouldn’t it be from Nome to Anchorage this year? Just wondering.
12:31 pm on November 13th, 2012
MacyMinPin: Ha! No, I was not talking about your mom, but I was thinking about you guys because we haven’t heard from you lately. Too busy working?
We haven’t heard from Wookie in quite awhile either.
12:31 pm on November 13th, 2012
Bear, That is the Yukon Quest. It goes from Fairbanks to Whitehorse one year then in the opposite direction the next year. The Iditarod does have a northern route one year alternating with a southern route the next year. I have read the Iditarod does this so more Native villages will be able to take part in the Last Great Race.
12:32 pm on November 13th, 2012
Dawson: Thank you for that last comment: “If you are broke right now, do not despair”. Thank Dog for the 3 month lag time! And, every dollar helps, right?
Things will turn around soon…I know it!
12:33 pm on November 13th, 2012
Siber-H: We knew you would have the scoop on all things Iditarod.
12:34 pm on November 13th, 2012
BearSpiritDog: There are two different routes alternated but they both start in Anchorage and end in Nome. The difference is in the middle where they go through little villages. Like last year, we didn’t go through the Iditarod checkpoint.
12:35 pm on November 13th, 2012
SiberH!…Doesn’t that mean that the Checkpoints will all be different this year as opposed to last year?…snort!
12:39 pm on November 13th, 2012
Dawson!…Sounds like you are on top of the Checkpoints for this years route..snort!…For a moment there I panicked…heh!
12:42 pm on November 13th, 2012
FELLOW SIBERS!! NEWSFLASH!!
Mike Ellis and his team of Siberians have entered the Iditarod!
They have never done the Iditarod before…only the Yukon Quest.
12:44 pm on November 13th, 2012
Rio, You are correct…a few of the checkpoints will be different this year. Wiothout checking, I am assuming the list Rebecca gave us a couple of days ago are the checkpoints for this year.
12:49 pm on November 13th, 2012
The checkpoints start the alternate route at Ophir. Last year from Ophir we went to Cripple, Ruby, Galena, and Nulato. This year we go through Iditarod, Shageluck, Anvik, Grayling and Eagle Island before we reach Kaltag. From then on the route is the same as last years route.
12:50 pm on November 13th, 2012
SiberH!…Exciting but, what does this mean for our team in?…wuffle!
12:53 pm on November 13th, 2012
This year, the Iditarod begins on Pop’s birthday. Woo Hoo! how cool is that?
Wose, will you be entering the auction to win the idita-ride with Snowhook?
12:55 pm on November 13th, 2012
Rio, Trust me on this. I can cheer for both Snowhook and the Sibers. The Sibers entering the race are really not competetive with the Alaskan Huskies (Snowhook).
I just want the Sibers to have a good time, stay safe, finish the race, and not win the red lantern.
12:59 pm on November 13th, 2012
Lantern!…I wouldn’t mind licking the Red Lantern…sneeze!
1:01 pm on November 13th, 2012
SiberH. Hooray! We love the Siberians. http://www.teamtsuga.com I read an article that said they quit their jobs, mortgaged their house in New Hampshire and have moved to Northwest Territories to train in conditions more like what they will encounter in Alaska.
1:15 pm on November 13th, 2012
Thanks for the link, Dawson. I hadn’t been to their website since last year’s Yukon Quest and it was all bad news because of Mike’s dislocated shoulder, which happened during the Yukon Quest. Life is looking up for them now.
1:24 pm on November 13th, 2012
Siber, do they usually run the Quest? Are they good? (For Sibes)
1:33 pm on November 13th, 2012
HELLO
Just catching up with the blog. I went to acupuncture today. Turns out everyone in the whole town has been sick. Either with the sore throat or a temperature of 102. Glad I had the sick throat.
Been busy since I got home.
BlueKat, check SDD
Royals’, check SDD
Bella, check SDD
I had never heard the joke before. I don’t think I have missed much.
I think I need to go upstairs and do something about my own auction items.
WOOF
1:34 pm on November 13th, 2012
Fellow Sibers, Yes, They have always run the Quest before. They are the best team of Siberians ever!! We can’t get our hopes up, though, because the Iditarod will be new to Mike and the team and that always makes for a difficult race.
1:40 pm on November 13th, 2012
Maybe Rebecca can re-post the checkpoints to joggle my memory. Who did the Iditarod Checkpoint Map last year? Staff? We used it on our desktop during the race…very handy.
Good Luck to Mike Ellis and his Sibes.
Melanie: aaahaahCHOO here too.
Rio, Please pass me the Airborne.

You can go to Iditarod.com and click on the heading 2013 (which is right below the “d” in Iditarod) and then from the drop down menu click on checkpoints and there is a map of this years checkpoints.
2:13 pm on November 13th, 2012
Dawson, Thank you for all the work you ae doing keeping track of this for us. We appreciate it.
2:39 pm on November 13th, 2012
Oley, We also think much of this personal stuff should stay behind closed doors. Someone said on tv the other day that if there was this much transparency years ago, we wouldn’t have had FDR, Eisenhower or even Kennedy in the White House. We agree with that but evidently in this case there is concern about security problems since Petraeus was top of the CIA. Did he share info with her is the question. Now back to pressing matters like the checkpoints!
3:30 pm on November 13th, 2012
Melanie – SDD checked and sent on to R. Thanks, by the way.
Siber-H – I remembered my password for the Iditarod site. That’s a miracle. Will they tell me when I need to send them more money so I can watch AJ’s flag in 2013? Any idea why AJ likes the northern route better?
Thinking of G&BB and family.
3:41 pm on November 13th, 2012
Bluecat, I don’t believe the Iditarod will tell you when you need to renew your membership. I will renew mine probably sometime in early Feb.
Rebecca can tell us why AJ likes the northern route better, (I am curious myself) but on the southern route I remember the wind on the Yukon River can be brutal and blowing in the wrong direction for the mushers and teams.
3:49 pm on November 13th, 2012
Siber-H – I think the whole route must be brutal. I still think about AJ on the ICE and waking up in the middle of the night to check on him and he was still on the ICE and that was before I’d seen pictures of the ICE as big as houses. Gah.
4:10 pm on November 13th, 2012
Hi Bluecat! We have a curiosity question for you. On our local news, they do a daily Pet Corner with an adoptable animal from a local shelter. The other day, they had a beautiful Siamese – it was heavier boned than the ones we have seen before, and the people said he was a cuddle bug who would sit in your lap for hours and would “talk” back when you spoke to him.
We know Siamese are very vocal, but we didn’t think they were known for being cuddlers. Are we misinformed?
4:12 pm on November 13th, 2012
Bluecat, I agree. The Iditarod is not for wimps or the faint of heart. Those mushers and dogs are tough.
4:13 pm on November 13th, 2012
Back for a moment.
Dawson, check SSD
Bella, check SSD
Melanie, check SSD
Oh, wait, that’s me. Never mind.
YSAS is playing a cop today, but the wardrobe people got his size wrong and had to stick him way back . . Instead of a 30/30? Try a 34/30 LOL
4:26 pm on November 13th, 2012
Checkpoint!…Is my checkpoint fully funded yet?…snort!…I wish Spencer would pull out his moth-ridden wallet and contribute to my checkpoint…grunt!…This whole thing worries me. What if it isn’t fully funded? What will happen to the Giant when he comes into a non-fully-funded checkpoint…wheeze!
4:50 pm on November 13th, 2012
jeez Rio is whining about his checkpoint already. Heh heh heh. Dawson do I have an extra 10 that can go to him or did you already assign it to someone else?
I have talked to Rebecca about starting the Shake Your Bootie team up again. I know we had to have 1000 booties at $1 each last year. But this year AJ says we need at least 1500 booties and 2000 would be better because they have other races to booty up for. So what do you guys think? Do you think we can try for 2000 this time? Let me know. I am thinking we can go for it. We have lots of time because we are starting earlier.
That Dawson just got us up and running for sure.
5:03 pm on November 13th, 2012
We can try for the 2000. It never hurts to try.
Yes, I am very glad Dawson got this started earlier this year along with Rio’s fund raising projects.
I don’t remember how we did the booties last year, but I know Staff was in charge.
5:10 pm on November 13th, 2012
We were not part of Shake Your Booty last year, but we’ll join up this year if youse just tell us what to do. We don’t sew.
5:20 pm on November 13th, 2012
Mommy is twirling and twirling. The reason? Sasha is back!!!!!! She is on two meds now. One is called Anipryl, and she has been on it for almost 30 days. It is for cognitive dysfunction. I don’t see much of a difference, except that now Sasha keeps walking from the living room to the kitchen to the back door and back. She also comes when Mommy calls her (loudly). I am trying to order 30 more for her but they are backordered. Gah!
The other med is a steroid. Mommy didn’t want to try those, so Sasha tried an anti-inflammatory instead. Those didn’t make any difference. But after 4 days on the steroid, Sasha can get up by herself, and like I said, she keeps walking and walking. I am warning Mommy not to get too excited, because you never know if this improvement will continue after the steroid therapy is finished. But for now, she is ignoring me, and twirling!
5:46 pm on November 13th, 2012
Gus&BooBear: So sorry to hear about your Dad’s bad night. The pain must be so intense…Hopeful that the chemo went well and pray for great results.
Kat: Thanks for letting us know about Sasha. I know your mom has been very worried about her. I hope Sasha keeps twirling for a long time.
Rio: No!
Staff: All your 10’s have already been assigned and sent to Data Central. Sorry…however you could pony up another 10!
I suggest that if you buy an item from the auction or store, you add an extra $10 to go to the checkpoint of your choice. Or a few booties
5:54 pm on November 13th, 2012
Good dog, Sasha. You take your meds.
T&G – oh, my, yes, we cuddle. I’m the 4th Siamese the parental units have cuddled. When I see an empty lap I jump into it and put my front paws just below their shoulders. Then I head butt them while they pet me. Then I knead the lap for minutes (as long as it takes) and turn around once to settle in for a nap (as long as it takes). When they talk to me, I answer them and I also talk to myself. I play fetch with little stuffed mousies, I self-start playing mousie by myself, and when I want to play with Mom, I touch her arm with a paw to let her know I’m there. (she reads a lot) I also drink from the faucet. Bloodlines have a lot to do with a Siamese personality. They’ve been lucky with finding mellow ‘meses.
I think other Plunderers have had some like me. They should have stories too.
6:02 pm on November 13th, 2012
Dad is back and done with round 1 of the intraarterial chemo. He will have one more session in about 3 weeks then all chemo is done by pill. He said the team working on him was fantastic and he got their names so he can get them next time! He didn’t get sick or have any pain!
Bluecat, you were right. It was the fear of the unknown that had Mom and Dad freaked out. Plus he had recovered from the seizure and surgery do well that the idea of facing another challenge was scary.
This morning was more frustrating than anything else. He actually hasn’t had any bad pain for a couple of weeks. Just mild headaches that should diminish in time.
Thanks, guys, for the support and prayers. The quilt works miracles!
6:03 pm on November 13th, 2012
Dawson!…It is part of your new job to get my checkpoint fully funded…snort!…Staff! Bootie up another 10 or 20 for my checkpoint…sniff!…I think 2000 booties is very doable…chuffle!
6:03 pm on November 13th, 2012
O.Howlers and Dawson; Thank you for the info. I will copy and file it away for future reference…like when my memory fails me.
Good Grief. The day has slipped away. It is almost time for supper which will be an early one because I’m hungry now.
6:05 pm on November 13th, 2012
Puss N’ Boots!…Yipppeeee!…Good news about your Paw…snorkel!….Ask him if he would like to donate to my checkpoint…grunt!
6:11 pm on November 13th, 2012
KT, you will find as you get older and wiser that you must take your twirling when you can!
6:14 pm on November 13th, 2012
Gus&BooBear: Prayers continue for your dad to improve more and more with each and every passing day.
Sasha: Tell your mom to twirl away. Each good day is a cause for celebration.
We will join the Shake Your Booty campaign again this year. 2,000 booties? We can do it!
6:18 pm on November 13th, 2012
Had to answer some email. Okay, where was I?
Oh, got it. Zoe says thanks roe your comments on her youthful looks. I have spent part of the day looking for a strange portrait of her. I figure whae must have dome some sort of deal with OTAS. Pondering . . He’s always had bit of other worldlinesss about him.
All I’m sure about is Zoe has less gray hair than I.
BBL Patsy wants tummies.
6:21 pm on November 13th, 2012
Rio: If you or SiberH’s checkpoints don’t get fully funded, I will eat my hat! Youse guys are directly responsible for us having so much fun, and worry, during the running of the Iditarod.
6:31 pm on November 13th, 2012
Melanie: I can picture YSAS in pants that large only if he puts a pillow under his clothes. (giggle) He could be carrying a doughnut.
Thank you for doing the picture for my item. You’re a professional!
Oh! Snowhook Bella: I have to add something to my description. Duh!
6:36 pm on November 13th, 2012
I’m still getting used to the iPaw. As you can see from my last entry.
6:40 pm on November 13th, 2012
Sasha, We pray you will keep on doing so well. Your family loves you.
Gus&BooBear. Very happy to hear the day went so well. The unknown is now behind you.
6:43 pm on November 13th, 2012
Very good idea of Dawson’s to add an extra $10 or so when buying or winning items in the upcoming fundrasiers for Snowhook.
6:52 pm on November 13th, 2012
Oleys, in answer to your question earlier, you betcha!
6:55 pm on November 13th, 2012
Kat, I am glad that your mommy is twirling and Sasha is walking! 🙂
6:56 pm on November 13th, 2012
G&BB, we are happy to hear that your dad’s procedure went well. We agree that fear of the unknown is almost always worse than the real thing. Siber will probably agree that Sibes, in particular, can be terrified of anything we have not had to do before. Come to think of it, how does that Sibe team manage the Iditarod? Oh yeah, by RUNNING!
By the way, Team Tsuga put up some beautiful pictures on facebookie today. Those guys look like us!
6:59 pm on November 13th, 2012
Wose, it will be way cooler than cool if you win!!!!! Wewill be watching you on our Big Screen!!!
We agree to put in an extra $10 for items purchased toward booties, or maybe even a Pug Point.
6:59 pm on November 13th, 2012
Rio! Something tells me you don’t have to worry your flat head about your checkpoint being funded. 🙂
7:02 pm on November 13th, 2012
Gus and BooBear, Lovin’ the good news about your dad!
7:05 pm on November 13th, 2012
Wondering about Jasper and Kirby T…..
7:10 pm on November 13th, 2012
To Anonymous: No! You cannot un-pledge $10 from Rio’s checkpoint due to excessive whining and begging. The risks were known in advance as there is documented proof on YouTube of Rio begging for cookies.
7:12 pm on November 13th, 2012
Oleys, if I win, the Prof and I will wave to youse guys.
7:19 pm on November 13th, 2012
Bluecat – thanks for that info. We have only met two ‘meses in our short lives (HEY! No Corgi jokes!) One was completely unfriendly, and couldn’t be touched or petted. The other one was hyperactive, and prone to sneaking up behind people and biting their ankles.
Now, we understand that those two were the anomolies, and most are lovable like you. (whew! – we were really kind of scared of them. But ‘meses sound lots nicer than Herbs)
Mama is working on her descriptions for auction stuff. Check with you all later.
7:21 pm on November 13th, 2012
oops – we forgot to say that we are so happy to hear the good news from Gus and BooBear, and that Sasha is doing so well.
7:37 pm on November 13th, 2012
Stover!…Please check your SDD when you get a free moment..snort!snort!
7:39 pm on November 13th, 2012
Photos!…My friend is so far behind on getting photos and stuff together for the Boutique….grunt!…She is really making me nervous. By the time she gets home its dark out and there is no natural light to photograph the twirled paper…wheeze!…Whatever will I do???….gasp!
7:51 pm on November 13th, 2012
Rio: I’ve responded.
7:53 pm on November 13th, 2012
We here are close to fading. We’re going to try to stay awake for Burn Notice and then slink on off to our cushy beds. ‘night ‘night.
7:57 pm on November 13th, 2012
Melanie!…Guess what???…snort!snort!…Check your SDD please!…wheeze!

Good news on the blog today. I am in KY for two weeks and having eye surgery tomorrow. The LASIK surgery needs to be redone in one eye. I will be under the quilt tomorrow.
I have some things for the boutique and one thing for the auction. Will take photos when I get home
Re booties: can we try for a few neon-colored ones this year. Each dog could wear one neon and three black ones so we can identify them better in photos. Or maybe just the lead dog could wear them. I know they are more expensive

Rio: My two-legged is paws up on the floor. She mumbled something about beans. She hasn’t eaten lunch and leaves for her writing class in a few minutes. She wants me to tell all youse that she hasn’t had much time to respond to emails and knows she owes information on this here blog. She will have to do that later. She wee get home when all youse are tucked in your soft, warm beds with your baseball toys just so.

Bella – fret not! We are the Plunderers! We do not panic when emails are a little behind schedule.
At least most of us don’t. Some of us, who shall not be named, get a little yeepy.
Have fun in your writing class!

C.Hobbit!….Neon and the Giant do not go together very well…heh!heh!…But it will be interesting to see what happens…snorkel!…I personally think we should stick with black as it is the Giants team and he likes black and so therefore…..
9:23 pm on November 13th, 2012
We are heading for the sofa too. Parenthood and then off to bed. Night all!
9:25 pm on November 13th, 2012
C.Hobbit: You will be in our thoughts tomorrow. After a brief recoup time you will be back as good as new.
Speaking of which, Tupper&Gilly, How is Gramp doing?
SnowBella: Tell us more about your writing class when you have a free minute. Ha! (pssst) if you haven’t done so don’t read a certain SDD until later.
Now I’m off to bed with Airborne in one paw and a box of Kleenex in the other.
WBB tomorrow – Bear

Great news, Gus & Boo Bear. We will keep the prayers going strong for your dad.
I spoke to mom and dad and agreed to dip into my treat budget again for a very important cause. I will again be sponsoring the Elim checkpoint this year and will be sending my $250 off to Snowhook tomorrow. If there is anything left over in the treat budget after that, there may be contributions made to Rio’s and SiberH’s checkpoints too.

Ok, We will go for the 2000. We can only try.
Now the way we do it is you send the money to Rebecca with a notice that it is for the booties. Then you send me a notice at my email that you sent Rebecca so much for the booties and I keep track and occasionally nag people to do more. 🙂 Sounds good to me. Heh.
PS email addy is at dishlickers@yahoo.com if you don’t have it. Or someone can email it to you if you ask on the blog.

Night-off!….Whew! I for one am glad Rebecca has a class tonight….snort!…It’s like a night off for me…heh!..No Rebecca emails asking me this or that about deadlines and this and that…sniff!…Now I can catch up on one of my fave programs, Elementary…snort!….I liked this program even before Clarkson starred on it, but now I love it…heh!heh!
10:12 pm on November 13th, 2012
Funny!…Isn’t it funny that on the show Elementary no one finds it funny that the main characters name is Sherlock Holmes?….heh!heheh!heh!
10:34 pm on November 13th, 2012
C.Hobbit – we will be thinking good thoughts for you. We know you will sail through with no troubles.
BSD – thanks for asking about Gramp. He is still as blind as the proverbial stick of wood used to hit baseballs. But – he has new glasses on order as his prescription is now completely different. We have all paws crossed that he will be able to see when he gets them. And not because we are tired of driving him all over the place every single day, day in and day out, over and over again… – well, ok, but not JUST because of that. It has been very hard on him to be so dependant on us since he is really a very indedendant kind of guy. Plus he really loves, loves, loves to read the newspapers, which he simply cannot do right now. So, hopefully, by Friday….
Rio – we have had a hard time suspending our belief too. If we met someone in real life named Sherlock, we might tend to giggle behind our paw.
10:40 pm on November 13th, 2012
Tupper!….I would probably do an outright Gawwwffaaa! and a Snort!-sniff-Snort! if someone introduce me to a living breathing Sherlock Holmes….chorkel!
10:44 pm on November 13th, 2012
What would you guys do if someone introduced you to Nancy Drew?
10:46 pm on November 13th, 2012
Staff!…I would laugh my @ss off….heheheheheheh!….Oh wait…sniff!
10:50 pm on November 13th, 2012
Staff – we would bow with great and deep respect.
But really…..SHERLOCK??
11:01 pm on November 13th, 2012
Yeah, It is funny that now one even blinks an eye…heh. Even for Nancy Drew I get a lot of jokes. I tell them it is a pen name.

Goodnight!…Going up to my warm soft bed where all my baseball toys are in the right places…snorkel!…Beau will be in his colder harder bed with his paws straight up in the air…sniff!…He has been forever banned from her mother’s big bed…heh!heh!….Sleep tight!
