Veterans Day
“Was yesterday,” Spence says.
“I know, but today is the holiday, so now I’ll call my dad to thank him for his service in World War 2,” Admin says. “He commanded a sub chaser in the Atlantic.”
“Say hi,” says Spence.
“And thanks to all the veterans. Here’s Churchill’s Their Finest Hour speech:”
‘Hitler knows that he will have to break us in this island or lose the war. If we can stand up to him, all Europe may be freed and the life of the world may move forward into broad, sunlit uplands. But if we fail, then the whole world, including the United States, including all that we have known and cared for, will sink into the abyss of a new dark age made more sinister, and perhaps more protracted, by the lights of perverted science. Let us therefore brace ourselves to our duties, and so bear ourselves, that if the British Empire and its Commonwealth last for a thousand years, men will still say, This was their finest hour.’
“And from the Pacific – the U.S.S. Indianapolis:”
Welcome Oily the activist dog.

“This bless’ed plot, this earth, this realm, this England” (Shakespeare, Richard II). England gave us some fine writers who prove the power of words.
Thank you Spence’s dad and all veterans.
Good morning all.

Good morning! We fell asleep very early last night. It was such a great weekend here, and we had so much fun, that we couldn’t keep our eyes open and didn’t even get to see all the great veterans pictures from last evening, and also the U.S.S. Indianapolis above. We send heartfelt thanks to all veterans.
Bella, Kaltag is a great checkpoint. That will be a coming home place for Sasha and Misha just like it is for you and the Giant. Thank you for putting so much thought into it for us.
8:56 am on November 12th, 2012
Meaning, we didn’t see most of the pictures until this morning that is.
9:16 am on November 12th, 2012
Good Morning. Throat is raw, but I feel an improvement. The pictures and remembering from last night touched my heart. Thank you all.
I have not watched the Kat Kastle. Next on my list . .
B.Stover: Shakespeare and Churchill, writers that knew who to pick the correct verb. They did not need adverbs.
YSAS and OS on the way home today. Another 10 to 12 hours in the car.
Be Safe.

I watched the latest episode of Elementary on On Demand last night. “Irene” was mentioned…Irene Adler perchance? I agree with Wookie. I really enjoy that series.
9:36 am on November 12th, 2012
HOW DID I MISS THAT SNOWHOOK HAS PUPPIES?
9:39 am on November 12th, 2012
Oooo, Nice catch, Dr.
WatsonStover.Zoë and I are enjoying the series.
We also discovered that “Major Crimes” has already been on this year. A totally of ten (now nine) episodes to watch.
9:52 am on November 12th, 2012
Melanie, I got the impression, from Facebookie, that those were someone else’s puppies. Not snowhook. Maybe the illness is only letting you read every other word?

Alice M. Johnson took time out from supervising the packing of the van for her trip to Minneapolis today to remind me of the Shake Your Bootie drive from last year.
Rebecca will be notifying me of the amount needed for Booties for this year. Alice and Abbie really want to spearhead this drive again because they LOVE LOVE LOVE the thought of Rio in booties. snicker…

Late night…sleeping in…..

10:14 am on November 12th, 2012
Thanks Staff. Yes, you are correct. Sigh. I have got to have a puppy fix. Wonder if our friend down the road has any Newf pups.
I shared Rufus’s video on Facebook.
10:15 am on November 12th, 2012
That pug! snicker . . I can just see what the Pack would do to me if I tried to do that.
Masquers . . I understand.
10:28 am on November 12th, 2012
Thanking Spence’s dad and all of the veterans who fought for our country, and thanking all those who still fight for us. May they return safely home to those who love them.
10:43 am on November 12th, 2012
Ditto Rose’s comment just above. We got goosebumps reading Chirchill’s words. So profound even close to 70 years later.
Love and respect going out to all the veterans.
10:49 am on November 12th, 2012
Why did they put those things on the pug’s feet?
10:53 am on November 12th, 2012
Bella gave our Gramp a set of booties when she came to visit. We think Gilly will wear them this winter – she HATES getting her feet in the snow. The other day when we had a dusting, she was barking like made to go outside. Mama opened the back door, Gilly tore out onto the deck, and slid to a stop, her eyes wide open with shock. She turned around and hightailed it back into the house and refused to set foot outside again. Thank dog the snow that day melted almost immediatly or we might have had a Beau-type of incident. But what is she going to do when it really snows?

Good Grief! Gone for 1 day and the Blog Explodes with Iditarod Ideas!
The official Veterans Day Holiday, which was yesterday, is observed today by banks and the USPS. Most (such as Rio’s Friend) will have to work. Some Lucky Dogs will enjoy another day off.
Melanie: YSAS looks so much like his great grandfather and namesake. It is quite amazing.
Staff, Dawson, A Catty Librarian & the Turtleman: A Beautiful picture of your Maggie “waiting to ship out”.
Tupper&Gilly: Your dad so very Handsome in his uniform.
Thanks to All Who Served in each and every Battle for our Freedom. Veterans We Salute You today and every day.
11:08 am on November 12th, 2012
Tupper: Perhaps Gilly could use these.

11:14 am on November 12th, 2012
Anniversary!….Today is Beau’s one year anniversary of living in my house with all my stuff…grunt!… My friend said she remembers last year on Nov. 11th (his birthday) she “talked” to the lady who Beau used to live with. The very next day some guy in a big pickup truck dumped Beau and all his stuff off at my house…snort!… My friend said she had agreed to watch him while that other gal was out of town on business, but as it turned out they never came back to pick him up again…grump!
11:19 am on November 12th, 2012
Booties!…Gah!..Poor Winston, the pug not the dead guy…grunt!
11:23 am on November 12th, 2012
Once again, Thank You to all our veterans. We get to celebrate Veterans Day twice this year.
Spence didn’t say what happened to the USS Indianapolis:
After delivering parts for the first atomic bomb to a Pacific island it was torpedoed by a Japanese sub. Three hundred men went down with the ship, nine hundred men went into the water. There were only a total of 317 survivors from the ship. The ones in the water were attacked by sharks. This is one of the tragic stories of World War II.
11:24 am on November 12th, 2012
November is a big month for Beau. I wonder how he will celebrate? Emotionally or enthusiastically? Either way, I hope he celebrates outside.
Staff: I will have to ask the Giant about the number of booties needed. T&G’s mom shared with me last year that their gramp was intersted in the booties, so I gave him some when I visited. They are way to small for his Callie, and probably too big for the Royals.
Melanie: Staff is correct. The pups belonged to another musher, but, oh, the puppy breath!
11:28 am on November 12th, 2012
Rose: You asked what movie we were going to see the night. Sadly my dinner and a movie was sans the movie. They would not let me in! No Kats allowed they said. You could have gotten me in the theatre I just know it!
It is cold and wet here. Maybe I will take today off.
Sigh. If only.
11:31 am on November 12th, 2012
Rebecca, Thanks for the link to the video. It worked for me. The dogs are having great fun on their training run.
11:39 am on November 12th, 2012
Look at the expression on the corgi’s face in the picture that Bear posted. He thinks he’s being punished. It’s similar to the attitude of the pug in the YouTube video (all the while the owner was laughing). People irritate me sometimes.
11:45 am on November 12th, 2012
Bella, we watched the video you posted on facebookie, but we didn’t understand where we were supposed to look for Rio Jr. (Or any of the others).
Measka stepped away so we will take this moment to share information that she would kill us for sharing. When the rents leave, Meashka hates to be kept indoors. Twice when they went out in the evening, and made her stay inside, she did what Beau did. The animal communicator, when asked about Meashka, could not tell Mom why exactly, but he said the important thing to know about her is that her job is to watch over Mom. “Eyes on you” is what he kept repeating. She is nervous if she can’t see where Mom went. Nowadays, when she has to stay inside and Mom leaves, a shower curtain is placed over the bed, just in case. But she has not repeated that behavior. So perhaps Beau has a deeper reason for what he did, and not simply an anger response.
Anyways, Happy Birthday and Happy Birthday to Beau!
11:47 am on November 12th, 2012
We meant Happy Anniversary and Happy Birthday to Beau.
11:58 am on November 12th, 2012
Birthday Beau! Have a good day.
Isn’t Gilly the one who had a great time sliding on the ice? If so, and she creates that weather to repeat the experience, may the ice remain down in the valley and be snow up here.
12:13 pm on November 12th, 2012
Note to self: No complaining about work here. With my treat budget cut in halfers we welcome every extra penny or purrferably $$$ that comes this way.
The Holiday Boutique and Iditarod are coming up fast, fast, fast.
Awesome One: Thank you for keeping the checkpoint tally. You can count me in. We will be in touch very soon.
Happy Birthday and Anniversary to Beau. Hope you are out of the doghouse.
12:25 pm on November 12th, 2012
Melanie – Gilly did have a ball sliding on the ice – its just snow or cold rain that she hates between her toes.
BSD – the expression on that Corgi’s face says it all.
Actually, Gilly seriously hurt one of her toes at one time. Mama would put antibiotic cream on a cotton ball, and stick that into a baby sock, put the sock over Gilly’s foot, and tape it with that special tape that only sticks to itself. Gilly didn’t seem to mind the sock at all. We think her toe hurt so bad, she was happy to have the cool oinment and the padding to protect her. We will try the booties on her, just to see.
12:26 pm on November 12th, 2012
We don’t remember if we told you about Pop’s car stopping a few weeks ago. We now know that the engine is blown and must be rebuilt. wah. No idea whose treat budget that will decimate. Pop has been driving the Huskymobile since then. He says the gas mileage is terrible. We say he keeps too much stuff in there when it is our transportation and must remain clear and ready for our use.
12:50 pm on November 12th, 2012
Masquers, my dear friend: The horror, no movie for you! I could definitely get you in to the movies. I like big bags, so I would wrap you in my special Wizard of Oz quilt for warmth and comfort, carefully place you in my bag, and once those ticket stubs are torn, and we are in the theatre, I would give you scritches and tender rubs during the whole film.
12:51 pm on November 12th, 2012
Beau: Happy birthday, and happy one year anniversary in your forever home!

T & G’s mama asked us for an opinion on Navajos Wear Nikes by Jim Kristofic. Barb is about half way thru. It is very interesting but sort of a downer at times. Jim was relocated from Pittsburg to the Indian “Rez” at Gando, AZ. when he was 7 and his younger brother 5. They had a hard time with the move and were physically and emotionally abused by the other school kids, who were not accepting of them at all. This would probably be true of any minorty kids thrown into a new situation. Kids can be mean. The thing that we have a difficult time with is his mother. She comes across as a pretty hard, unsympathic person, which is funny since she is a nurse. One example: Jim (still a little boy) is injured in a barnyard accident, and his mother’s response is to slap him in the face and tell him to take a deep breath before he goes into shook. Get over it – BFD she says (and she says that often). She also seems unconcerned about how her boys are adjusting, and just doesn’t want to hear about it. Barb has a hard time relating to her.
The cultural info and info about reservation life is quite informative. Siber, what do you think?
1:52 pm on November 12th, 2012
Google Doodle: Celebrating Rodin’s 172nd birthday.
1:53 pm on November 12th, 2012
Barb, I am agreeing with your review of the book. The info on life on the Navajo Reservation is what I liked best about the book.
I still miss Tony Hillerman.
2:13 pm on November 12th, 2012
Siber, thank you for telling us the history of the USS Indianapolis. Is Spencer telling us his dad was on that ship when it was torpedoed?
2:13 pm on November 12th, 2012
Here’s a bit from one of the Elementary episodes:
Holmes: “Your deductive skills are not unworthy of further development.”
Watson: “Thank you. I think that was a compliment…buried in a double negative.”
2:15 pm on November 12th, 2012
Rose: I saw that Google doodle of Rodin–The Thinker. Neat!
2:18 pm on November 12th, 2012
Rose, Dawson, SiberH and Professor B: Please check your SDD.
2:21 pm on November 12th, 2012
Fellow Sibers, That is a good question and I don’t know the answer to it. I hope his dad wasn’t on that ship.
I have a question: The amount to sponsor a checkpoint is $250.00, isn’t it?
2:23 pm on November 12th, 2012
Awww, Rio, don’t you like being a big brother even a little bit?
2:25 pm on November 12th, 2012
I believe that Spence’s dad lives in Florida. The post states that he was in the Atlantic not the Pacific.
2:28 pm on November 12th, 2012
Quote!…Jaws!…snort!
Quint: Japanese submarine slammed two torpedoes into our side, Chief. We was comin’ back from the island of Tinian to Leyte… just delivered the bomb. The Hiroshima bomb. Eleven hundred men went into the water. Vessel went down in 12 minutes. Didn’t see the first shark for about a half an hour. Tiger. 13-footer. You know how you know that when you’re in the water, Chief? You tell by looking from the dorsal to the tail fin. What we didn’t know, was our bomb mission had been so secret, no distress signal had been sent. They didn’t even list us overdue for a week. Very first light, Chief, sharks come cruisin’, so we formed ourselves into tight groups. You know, it was kinda like old squares in the battle like you see in the calendar named “The Battle of Waterloo” and the idea was: shark comes to the nearest man, that man he starts poundin’ and hollerin’ and screamin’ and sometimes the shark will go away… but sometimes he wouldn’t go away. Sometimes that shark he looks right into ya. Right into your eyes. And, you know, the thing about a shark… he’s got lifeless eyes. Black eyes. Like a doll’s eyes. When he comes at ya, doesn’t seem to be living… until he bites ya, and those black eyes roll over white and then… ah then you hear that terrible high-pitched screamin’. The ocean turns red, and despite all the poundin’ and the hollerin’, they all come in and they… rip you to pieces. You know by the end of that first dawn, lost a hundred men. I don’t know how many sharks, maybe a thousand. I know how many men, they averaged six an hour. On Thursday morning, Chief, I bumped into a friend of mine, Herbie Robinson from Cleveland. Baseball player. Boatswain’s mate. I thought he was asleep. I reached over to wake him up. He bobbed up, down in the water just like a kinda top. Upended. Well, he’d been bitten in half below the waist. Noon, the fifth day, Mr. Hooper, a Lockheed Ventura saw us. He swung in low and he saw us… he was a young pilot, a lot younger than Mr. Hooper. Anyway, he saw us and he come in low and three hours later a big fat PBY comes down and starts to pick us up. You know that was the time I was most frightened… waitin’ for my turn. I’ll never put on a lifejacket again. So, eleven hundred men went in the water; 316 men come out and the sharks took the rest, June the 29th, 1945. Anyway, we delivered the bomb.
2:28 pm on November 12th, 2012
B: There is a museum dedicated to Rodin in Philadelphia, which the Prof and I missed on our trip there. We will be back there soon to mend the error of our ways. 🙂
2:29 pm on November 12th, 2012
Bella: Checked and responded to.
2:31 pm on November 12th, 2012
SiberH: Yes that is the total amount to sponsor a checkpoint.
How Maggie met Bruce: The way I heard it was Maggie was at a party and some handsome man asked for her phone number, which she gave him not realizing that Bruce was standing nearby and memorized the phone number. Later, when a man from the party called and asked for a date she said yes. The man who showed up to take her on a date was not the man who took her phone number but Bruce. It was a whirlwind romance.
2:33 pm on November 12th, 2012
SiberH: You are correct on the amount to sponsor a checkpoint.
Howlers: My Lady could have been more clear about the positions on the team yesterday. Lead, that’s the position I’ve run most of my career. I like being the dog up front. The position behind lead is called swing. Last year, I chose to run in swing until the last ten miles of Iditarod last year. Those last ten miles, I ran in lead next to my daughter, Twig. Swing dogs are usually lead dogs being rotated from the lead position,or dogs who are learning to be lead dogs.
The dogs in the middle of the team are called team dogs. If you’re walking from the front of the team, you will pass lead dogs, swing dogs and then team dogs. The first pair of dogs behind the swing dogs are called first team. The dogs behind them, are second team—this is where Rio was running in the video—and so on. The dogs closest to the sled are called wheel dogs. My Lady’s best friend, Rowdy was a wheel dog. She loved watching his ears as he run.
Bishop was training to be a lead dog next to me when he was a yearling, and doing a good job, too. The team got hit by a car and Bishop and I got the worst of it. We healed up just fine, but Bishop refuses to run lead. He will run any other position without question and will still follow commands. You may have not seen my Lady furious, but the guy who hit the team sure has.
2:37 pm on November 12th, 2012
I will admitt that we love both the book and the movie, “Jaws”. Robert Shaw was the perfect Quint. I can hear and see him now saying the words in the movie that Rio posted.
Thanks Stover, You answered our question. umm The Howlers and I must have been reading every other word. Our only excuse is we are Sibers.
Rebecca, I sent you and SDD.
2:58 pm on November 12th, 2012
Rio – Jaws is indeed a scary movie – that part that you quoted is the only part that Mama will not watch. She either leaves the room, or turns the sound off.
(Remember, she is the one with the huge phobia about the Titanic)
Recently, a wonderful person sent my brother a book about the Titanic. He was talking about it with Mama, and she finally told him her theory that she had been on that boat, and didn’t survive. Brother shocked her completely by saying he thought that he too had been there, and survived.
Hmmmmm.
3:04 pm on November 12th, 2012
I got outside twice today. First time in days. Warm, sunny, wow. Now I’m totally tired. I can tell I’m better. Just wish it was faster.
3:08 pm on November 12th, 2012
It was a restless night under the Quilt. I don’t want to name names (whispering), but it begins with a M and ends with and Elanie refused to stay put and rest. In the end I had to sit on her. It was awkward for both of us, but I’d do it again for her sake. It looks like that is what is needed by reading her most recent post. Oh, Melanie…
3:11 pm on November 12th, 2012
Bee, thanks for pointing out the obvious. Siber is correct that the mere fact we are Sibes is a valid excuse.
Annabelle, now that we understand what 2nd team means, we will go back and watch the video again. Thanks. The story of the car hitting you and Bishop is horrible. We’re glad you are mended
There is a Sibe at Last Chance Ranch, where we adopted Ned, who was shot and had to have his leg amputated. He is only 7 months old. The reason he was shot? He was playing with some children! Grrrrr.
3:11 pm on November 12th, 2012
Rio, That is a chilling account.
Dawson, Funny story. Good thing your dad has a good memory. Of course, phone #s were shorter back then.

Rose: I went to Rodin’s house, now his museum, when I was in Paris. Two of my favorite works by him are Gates of Hell and Ugolino, both based on Dante’s Divine Comedy. Let me know what they have at the Philly museum.

Something tells me you suffered a smaller loss!

I am now resting. Ellie went outside and then lost her footing. I don’t know who is more tired. Me, trying to lift her rear up or Ellie trying to get up. She is now in and I’m watching IQ.

Howlers: There is space for two dogs in each section. In a 16 dog team like AJ takes on Iditarod would have the following:
Lead dogs
Swing dogs
1st team
2nd team
3rd team
4th team
5th team
Wheel dogs
4:11 pm on November 12th, 2012
The checkpoint at the 2013 Iditarod in memory of Brandy will be Ophir. Yes! Go Snowhook!
4:40 pm on November 12th, 2012
Barb: It’s never too late. (At least read Dante’s Inferno. I taught it using John Ciardi’s translation but I prefer Dorothy Sayer’s translation as more “poetic.”)

B: Your trip to Rodin’s home in Paris sounds wonderful. Will definitely come back from our next Philly trip with lots of photos.

Bee, We will add it to the reading list. Thank you.

Zoe had an eye doctor appointment today. The young lady who did the tests before the doc came, look at Zoe’s chart and told Zoe there was no way she was 80years old. Zoe enjoyed that.
5:35 pm on November 12th, 2012
Hi,guys, from the Medical Center in Houston. Mom said we could claim we are there too but really we’re home with the catsitter. Last week, Dad got fitted with his radiation mask. Today was his first treatment. Went fine. He didn’t have any problems at all. We have heard that about 1/2 way thru the 30 days, you start feeling very tired. Dad is checked back into the hospital for the 1st of 2 intraarterial chemo sessions. NOT looking forward to that. Hope to be back home Wed.
Mom does have a couple of items for the auction. Hopefully she will get pics taken and sent to Melanie later this week. Go Snowhook !!

G&BB, thinking about your dad and family. Plunder On!
6:30 pm on November 12th, 2012
G&BB: Youse guys are always in my thoughts.
6:33 pm on November 12th, 2012
I never saw Jaws either and I would rather read Shakespeare than Jaws.
BStover: Congratulations and thank you for sponsoring Ophir in memory of Brandy. It is very exciting to see these checkpoints get sponsored.
I have an old copy (collecter’s with illustrations)of Dante’s work. I have never read it. I will put it on top of my read stack.
I will have to return to the Iditarod.com for descriptions of the terrain betweeen checkpoints and the checkpoints themselves.
Zoe does not look 80!
G&BooBear: Intraarterial chemo – sounds complicated and like no fun at all. My thoughts will be with your Dad and the family. How long does he have to be in the hospital?
6:33 pm on November 12th, 2012
Gus&BooBear, Hugs and prayers every day for you guys and your family.
6:40 pm on November 12th, 2012
Love to your mom and dad, Gus and Boo Bear.

Thanks for the team lineup. Now we know which is Rio. Who are the rest of the team?
7:01 pm on November 12th, 2012
I am pleased to announce that the McGrath checkpoint has been sponosored to honor Snowhook’s Rory and Bridger and Wose’s friend, Zelda. Those at the McGrath checkpoint, residents and volunteers, aided AJ in his efforts to find Whitey-Lance. They showed him generosity and kindness that we can never fully express our gratitude. They helped AJ search for W.L. by snowmachine and airplane. When he came back to feed the team that remained at the checkpoint, they saw to it that AJ had food and gave him a place to rest his head when weariness finally overtook him.
7:04 pm on November 12th, 2012
Dawson, we hope they get to come home on Wednesday, but it may be Thursday. The procedure is tomorrow, and he will be recovering tomorrow. Depending in how well he does, he may be back home Wed. Hopefully, Thurs at the latest. Mom will stay with him tonight and tomorrow night but will probably come home sometime Wed. Hopefully, he will be with her or she will be going back.
It’s exciting to see posting about Snowhook and checkpoints! Gets Mom thinking about other things. And what better to think about than the Iditarod!

Woo hoo!
7:06 pm on November 12th, 2012
Melanie: Compliments are always welcome…even better when they are true.
B: We read Dante’s Inferno too long ago to remember much. May take a refresher course.
G&BB: You are never far from our thoughts. Prayers your dad gets through the treatments with the least side effects possible.
Too tired here to concentrate. Shutting down early.
WBB in the morning – Bear
7:07 pm on November 12th, 2012
G&BB: Thanks for the update on you pop. He and your mom are never far from my thoughts. I can’t believe your mom is thinking about Snowhook with all she has in her dog dish, but if it helps distract her, we are happy for it.
7:16 pm on November 12th, 2012
McGrath is the perfect checkpoint for Rory and Bridger and Zelda.
We are getting ready to eat, and most of us can no longer keep our eyes open. If you don’t hear any more out of us tonight, assume sleep overtook us as always.
We are getting so excited for sled race season!!!

Prayers and positive energy going out to G & B’s mom and dad. Stay strong, our thoughts are with you.
Rio, Salmon is good, just try it. Hope it is fresh and not canned salmon – so much better.

I see that I am not the only one who is having trouble staying awake. I have five of the Pack with me and their snoring has a soporific effect.

Ahem…Can I have your attention. Thanks to Rio’s stomach having the ability to tell time, I was reminded that Thanksgiving is very near. I am sanding, dusting, painting and all manner of hard work ‘-ings’ in preparation for the Musher Mercantile Holiday Boutique. The delivery truck have begun arriving and more are expected soon. If all youse who would like to contribute to the shelves of the MMHB can get your photos and descriptions to me by close of this blog this Saturday, we can open the day after Thanksgiving. Yeep!
9:10 pm on November 12th, 2012
Yeep!…Where did the time go between baseball being over and the Holidays?…yowser!…Everyone, remember send your photos to Melanie the Primping Queen first, and then once she sends them back to you add a description and the asking price for your priceless gift to Snowhook before you send them off to Rebecca to be placed on a shelf in the store…wheeze!
9:13 pm on November 12th, 2012
Timing!…So that means (SiberH) you have all of this week to get stuff to Melanie and then all of Saturday to get your stuff to Rebecca…heh!…Plenty of time unless you are my friend …wuffle!grunt!

Plunderful!
I leave for a couple hours and another checkpoint is sponsored! McGrath is perfect for the 3 Amigos; Rory, Bridger and Zelda. This is another checkpoint that has significance to Plunderers because this is where Whitey Lance went free style running and SiberH. posted about it. We were all very happy when Whitey Lance was found and proud of his musher (though we didn’t know him yet) for the care and love he showed to his dog.
Gus&BooBear: Praying for all to go well tomorrow.
It is snowing here to beat the band (Whatever that means). This has been going on for a few days nonstop. All is white and fluffy.
9:18 pm on November 12th, 2012
Dawson: What did the band ever do to you?
9:20 pm on November 12th, 2012
Dawson: Plunderful! I like it. What a great way to describe the Plunderers and their generosity.
9:26 pm on November 12th, 2012
Word!…Rebecca, our gangs generosity is described as Plunderosity…heh!heh!

🙂 Checkpoint update 🙂
Plunderful Plunderosity!
Four checkpoints have been spoken for outright by Oley Howlers (there goes the engine rebuild!), SiberH, C Hobbit Harris and Oley Howlers.
Six checkpoints are in various stages of being funded from Raven’s checkpoint which is $10 away from being totally funded to Rio’s which now needs $235. to be fully funded. Already got a donation for Rio! I will post the donors once each checkpoint is fully funded.
There are still 15 to be sponsored. There are 25 checkpoints in all.
9:53 pm on November 12th, 2012
Hey!…How come Dawson gets the “exciting” SDD and I get all the “hard-work” SDD’s?…grunt!wheeze!

9:57 pm on November 12th, 2012

Rio: I sent you a yeeping good SDD about the the one thing, no, not that, the other thing we’ve been discussing.

Ahem…As long as I have the podium, I thought I’d make another announcement. Snowhook headquarters has been in communcation with Auction Central. AC has calibrated the Bid Tracker 3000 and will open the auction on the evening (8pm EST)of Friday, November 30th. A tanker of cawfee with a very long straw is scheduled to be delivered in the coming days and Beau has been put on fire extinguisher duty, the BT3000 being from the same manufacturer as the RNG.
The computations of AC have spit out projections that those wishing to contribute items to the auction should have thos items to me no later than COB (close of blog) on November 24th.
Wheeze! Auction Central has spoken.
10:14 pm on November 12th, 2012

10:24 pm on November 12th, 2012
Sneeze!… Rio has fainted…sniffle!
10:25 pm on November 12th, 2012
Beau: Did he just fall to his side, or is he four feet in the air? Either way, here is your fire extinguisher back. You may need it more than me.
10:30 pm on November 12th, 2012
Up!…I’m up….sniff!…I thought Rebecca was going to announce that my checkpoint was fully funded but instead she pulled the auction-rug right out from under me…snort!…And that is why it seemed I fainted, but in reality I was tripped-up…grunt!

Since Desert Exile is a memoir, its accounts of the
events leading up to the internment of thousands of Japanese nationals and
Japanese-American citizens, is told in a decidedly narrow point of view.
Indeed, the Fourth District Court of Appeal found that only the federal government, not the
hospitals, is authorized to conduct deportations.
Uchida writes extensively about the Issei, first-generation Japanese nationals
living in the United States. Bank Secrecy, Signatory
and Beneficial Owner – The banks we use have bank secrecy.
Remember that you can save more money by doing these things on your own.

My brother suggested I would possibly like this web site.
He was once totally right. This post actually made my day.
You can not imagine simply how a lot time I had spent for this info!
Thanks!
