Under The (Shopping) Gun
“What are you doing?” says Spence.
“Making a list,” says Admin.
“Mind if I check it twice?”
Spence checks the list. “Look at all this. There’s no time.”
“We’re doomed,” Admin says. He crumples up the list. “How about a drink?”
“At this hour?” Spence says.
“Didn’t Gandalf say something about we can’t change the time, just have to use the time we’ve been handed?”
“Not sure he meant to greenlight drinking at all hours.”
“Don’t be priggish. This is America!”
Welcome Gear R. Delli, Melvin Belli, kindred spirit.

Oh dear! The holidays did seem to creep up on everyone this year. I’m raising my glass (of pineapple juice) to Spence and Admin!
Good morning all.
9:09 am on December 17th, 2011
Here’s to Spence and Admin! (raising my cuppa cawfee)
9:09 am on December 17th, 2011
Mom joins you in that toast Admin!
Hello Bee. We need to start our shopping soon too.
9:11 am on December 17th, 2011
Hi Dawson! (whispering)caramel latte here, but let PA think Mom is guzzling alcohol too.
9:40 am on December 17th, 2011
Hi Howlers and Dawson. I always give money so I have no shopping to do. (I hate shopping….No excuse I know, but….)
9:53 am on December 17th, 2011
I am giving a friend the complete set of the eight Harry Potter films on dvd. (The sets were recently released by Warner Brothers.) I ordered them on Amazon so there was no shopping involved….Heh!
10:03 am on December 17th, 2011
Stover, Mom and Pop are giving mostly gift cards so no shopping involved. But they have this one brother/sister-in-law that is always the hardest to figure out. What to get people who have everything, and have expensive tastes, and are very generous too…it wears us out so now we need another nap.
10:16 am on December 17th, 2011
Best to shop all year we say
Then you’ll be ready on the day.
(Hmm…now where did I put that item…)
10:20 am on December 17th, 2011
Good morning B, Dawson & O.Howlers
Everyone have a great day!
Wolfie: It was wonderful to hear Grandma is home!
Macy home from New Orleans.
SnowBella: You have been working late these evenings.
10:23 am on December 17th, 2011
Good Morning All!
As I sip from glass of Diet 7UP. All shopping is done (I hope), now I must wrap. I’m very late with that.
OH: I like to do gift cards as well. Some people think it shows lack of thought, but I see it as a person can really get what he wants, and not have to put on a fake smile when a cheesy Chritmas sweater is inside the box. Maybe for that hard to shop for person, you might consider a unique gift from the Royal Mum, or Rio’s friend, artists extraordinaire….
B: I do a lot of on-line shopping as well. No fuss, no muss.
10:30 am on December 17th, 2011
It’s the day of our big party!
Stormy Kromer announced today they will reveal the winner of the Living Legend Contest on January 9th, 2012.
I like on-line shopping too. Especially from Amazon Prime. Just a few clicks and voila you’re done!
10:35 am on December 17th, 2011
Good Morning,
Having checked Stormy Kromer’s page out of habit, I see that the voting page has been replaced by an announcement that we can check on January 9th to find the results of the voting.
As for shopping, I like Bear’s idea about shopping all year to be ready for the day.
However that doesn’t work for me. I used to do that. I’d pick up something that I thought someone would like or use, but I’d always get excited and be unable to wait for the day. I’d give it early and have nothing for the occasion. Now everyone who knows me knows that I shop all year round and the day I buy something for someone is Christmas for that person. Everyday or any day is Christmas. This works as long as there aren’t any youngsters involved. I still shop for them in Dec.
10:45 am on December 17th, 2011
We do sort of a combo of all the above. A few gift cards – B & N and foodie cards for some teens and service folks on our list.
Then we do some on line, mostly puzzles, dvds and books.
Little kiddies we have to go shopping for toys.
Also love to go to a couple of really nice gift and florist shops the day after Christmas for half price deals. Those we save and are surprised at what we find 12 months later when we drag them out of storage. Always do some nice ornaments and decorations at a super savings.
Today we got our first snow and it is a pretty one, not too much and will be melting by Monday.
Cookie baking on the schedule today – date pin-wheels, favorite son’s favorite cookie.
10:56 am on December 17th, 2011
Here’s a little something special if you can squeeze a few minutes out of your crazy
schedules to watch what it’s all about.

All the ones to whom we give gift cards are kids or adolescents…grand-neices and grand-nephews. We just don’t have a clue what they would want and what they already have. So gift cards work well…Toys R Us, Babies R Us…
11:04 am on December 17th, 2011
Good Morning! Raising my cup of coco to Admin and Spence whole slipping a Slim Jim to Chet.
For the past few years the family has been switching to gift bags. Easy to reuse! I also started the “wrapping” as the items came in from internet shopping. This was great because I’m slightly ahead even though I was sick.
Only problem? I spent an hour trying to remember where I had put the wedding cufflinks the guys are getting for gifts! I had already put them in gift bags. sigh, with you there, BearSpiritDog . . .
Still hacking away, so no visiting Dan yet. My sister is going today. I’m hoping next week I’ll be able to see him. He sounds great!
11:21 am on December 17th, 2011
TYB: A good way to start the day! Thank you. (whispering) The voting habit is so in grained by now we just automatically go to vote each morning.
Barb&Magpie: Oh, the wonderful smells at your house.
Melanie: Good to know we are not the only ones not able to find things! lol. Paws crossed Dan will be home for Christmas.
Dima: About my question from yesterday about those redheads…..
11:24 am on December 17th, 2011
Wrapping!….Beau and I have been helping her wrap gifts on the floor….Wooooo!….Things really got going when Beau decided to chase his tail right on her beautiful wrapping paper…heh!heh!….Now that was a sight to see. She nearly had a heart attack….chorkel!…..Boy, I just love Christmastime…snort!
11:40 am on December 17th, 2011
Hi everyone.
It got very interesting here in show land last night. The mall decided that about half the exhibitors had to move. You saw our booth. That represents about 5 hours of set up time. So when they said I needed to move, I told them I wad union, and would bill them accordingly. They decided my booth was fine where it was.
But lots of others did have to move. Most were fairly easy and everyone helped but what a night! This all happened AFTER the show closed for the day.
sigh.
Oh well, now we are up and running and hopefully the shoppers will be pouring in
Dawson- we’ll talk Monday
Rose- please check your SDD
Hope everyone is having a marvelous day!
11:56 am on December 17th, 2011
TYB: I’d love the nursing home where my dad is to have a visit from a therapy dog. I think he’d really like it. The place specializes in dementia and alzheimers. How does one go about requesting one (if the nursing home approves). Is there a list of therapy dogs around Owensboro KY?
12:05 pm on December 17th, 2011
Rio: A twirling Beau. Heh! Wish we could have seen that.
T&G: Isn’t this the mall that’s supposed to cater to artists? Glad your mum and dad didn’t have to move that big exhibit! We wish you Big Sales today. If the Plunderers were there the Royal’s inventory would be depleted very quickly.
Dawson: You’re up with the Birds after being the Night Owl. How do you do it?
12:07 pm on December 17th, 2011
T&G: SDD checked. Hope you have a lot of fat Boston wallets opening up in your booth! That’s telling ’em about the booth, Royal Mum!!!
B&M: Wish I was there for some cookies!
Melanie: I hope you are tip-top soon!
Rio: Could we pleeeeze see you,Beau, and the ornament!!!!
You too, Siber, I want to see your ornament on the tree as well!
Tyb: I watched some of the video. The young woman who starts the singing off has a lovely voice.
Oh, Masquers (sigh): I finished “A Dog’ Purpose” last night. What a lovely story. The sub-title is a novel for humans, and I believe every two-legged should read this book, especially those who have had or have ever had a member of the nation as family. I had a kat once, and the story still had great meaning for me. (Whispering) The last few pages were blurry, and drops from my eyes spilled on my cheeks…
12:11 pm on December 17th, 2011
C. Harris
I’ll see what I can find with the Therapy Dog International if they have a registry of
therapy dogs by area. Most nursing homes will allow family dogs to visit patients if you
want to take your dog to visit, I can’t imagine that there would be a problem. I’ll let you know what I find out.
Tyb
12:15 pm on December 17th, 2011
UNION! Oh, that is WONDERFUL! Will have to tell YSAS!
Back from the post office. Appears that everyone is hacking with this stuff. The one person in our post office was overwhelmed today.
Now having lunch (left over Cajon gluten free blackened chicken) and will head out down the other side of the hills to do a couple of errands.
Riö: It is always a
disasterpleasure when the Pack helps with the wrapping of gifts!12:19 pm on December 17th, 2011
Harris,
Have you checked with the nursing home? They may know about therapy dogs in the area. I know that once registered, I can get assignments from the TDI. Have to go out for a while now, but we’ll be back later in the day.
1:33 pm on December 17th, 2011
Today is a balancing act of two parties. Today is our holiday party for work as well as B’s retirement party. I will be driving into town this afternoon to spend time with some very good people after I check off all that I’m bringing to B’s party: root beer, vanilla ice cream, ice cream scoops, frosted mugs, Bev’s almond bark popcorn. I also need to stop by the florist to pick up a little something Charlie ordered for B. 🙂
Now, the waiting begins for the final results of the Stormy Kromer contest. Patience may be a virtue, but not one I’ve perfected. Grump.
1:37 pm on December 17th, 2011
Rose: I loved the book’s Promise of Return. I’m glad to hear you liked it as much as we did. It was difficult to explain those little tear drops scattered throughout the pages to the librarian, but she understood.
C.Harris: Someone here was asking if you could re-post the description of the Birch Bark Vase & Fur Flowers.
1:44 pm on December 17th, 2011
Masquers: I know you asked CHarris for the description, but I happen to have it handy:
Bring the outdoors in with this beautiful arrangement. Rustic beauty and elegance are combined in the bark vase with a bouquet of hand crafted fur flowers. The overall arrangement is approximately 12” x 16”.
2:22 pm on December 17th, 2011
Bella: Thank you! Do you also happen to have the one she posted here on the blog describing the fur flowers?
2 parties! Better put on your dancing “shows”! lol
2:25 pm on December 17th, 2011
I went to Barnes & Noble. Big mistake. The lines (three of them) were winding around the entire store and I’m not exaggerating.
Snowhook Bella: I love Charlie!
2:37 pm on December 17th, 2011
B: Are they having a big sale?
3:05 pm on December 17th, 2011
Masquers: I only have the one from the auction. I thought is what you wanted, yet alas, I was wrong. I don’t have the description she posted on this here blog. 🙂
3:12 pm on December 17th, 2011
I think I’ve mentioned already that since Blou went to the Bridge Christmas week, we do a Blou Christmas event each year to honoe him. We collect donations from Thanksgiving to Christmas for two shelters: the local SPCA and for the Almost Home Sanctuary which is a private rescue program. Almost Home accepts any animal that is “unadoptable” either for reasons of age, disposition, health, or whatever. They

keep the animals on their farm so that each creature can live out it’s normal life without danger of euthanasia. They have dogs, cats, ducks, chickens, pigs, ferrets, horses, and just about anything else you can think of. Blou is certainly well remembered. We have collected so much already this year that we had to get rid of a truckload yesterday because people couldn’t get up the hall in our little complex. Here is a picture of me with the Blou Charlie Brown tree and some of the take.
3:20 pm on December 17th, 2011
Bee, We always order from B & N on line. Free shipping if you spend more than $25.00, which is basically 2 books or dvds.
Date pin-wheels are not hard, but are time consuming. This am. made the filling and the dough. Then dough has to be chilled, rolled out and spread with filling. Then rolled up like a jelly roll. That is the stage where we now are. Then chilled again, and cut into little cookie pieces and baked. Good thing sonny boy loves these, plus they are festive.
3:24 pm on December 17th, 2011
TYB, you are a Prince among The Nation Within.
NEED HELP!
Has anyone found the audio CD version of The Dog Who? And if so WHERE?
Thanks
3:51 pm on December 17th, 2011
Melanie,
I just googled The Dog Who Audio Edition, and it came up at Amazon for $23 and change,
3:52 pm on December 17th, 2011
TYB & Masquers: because I sometimes miss posts, you are welcome to email me at akclh@yahoo.com. What did you want to know about the fur flowers? Most are made out of rabbit fur but a few are minx, lynx and fox. I am going to check into mailing rates in case someone wants a couple of fur flowers (with the $ going to Snowhook). It will be after my trip to KY to see my dad.
3:57 pm on December 17th, 2011
Melanie,
I went back to my search and find that you can get the book for free with a 14 day trial membership to audible.com. If you remember to cancel the membership before the end of the 14 day trial period ends, you will not be charged. The hard thing is remembering to cancel.
4:05 pm on December 17th, 2011
Tyb, Almost Home sonds like a small version of Best Friends out in Utah. They have many unadoptables there. One of the places where Barb makes some donations.
Barb is up to page 625 in 11-22. It is still very good and she finds it hard to put down.
What time is the Par-tee?
4:21 pm on December 17th, 2011
Shopping!…. Someone finally got home from shopping….snort!… Boy oh boy does she have a lot of wrapping to do (again)…heh!… But first we are going to rest and watch A Christmas Story….yipppeeee!
Ornament!….Oh and before I forget here is a photo of the Ornament some Yankee Fan sent us ….snorkel!…Isn’t it the best thing ever!…Woooooo!
4:27 pm on December 17th, 2011
Bear, we apologize for Dima not answering you…he is easily distracted with the Call of the Wild (and the sofa). The Hot One, Meashka, is also a redhead. She is trying to mold Kat in her image but Mom thinks she is much gentler like Dima.
4:29 pm on December 17th, 2011
Bear: Barnes and Noble wasn’t having a sale. I was going to get a gift card but decided to wait.
After Melanie’s question, I realized that I don’t yet have The Dog Who on cd.
4:31 pm on December 17th, 2011
Thank you for the picture Rio. I like the ornament….even if I don’t like baseball.
4:46 pm on December 17th, 2011
I’ve got my dancing ‘shows’ polished. Oddly enough, both of the shows are lefties. I saw regular pairs of dancing shows at the store, but the salesperson assured me that this was the pair for me.
I’m not sure what time the party is taking place, but you should here the conversations of preparation that are taking place. Charlie is trying to get his ears just right. Whitey-Lance is hoping that Princess Sam will show and he wants to look his best. He can’t decide between his more formal black harness or his more festive, but less formal red harness. Garcia chimed in with a laid back, “I don’t know what the fuss is about. I’m going all natural.”
B: I’m not a baseball fan either, but I like the ornament especially because it makes Rio so happy.
4:48 pm on December 17th, 2011
Rio,
Thanks for the picture. I like the ornament (whispering) not the sport. (aloud) Sorry.
5:22 pm on December 17th, 2011
Snowhook Bella: Tell Charlie that his ears are always perfect!
5:22 pm on December 17th, 2011
Dima: Thanks for getting back to me. So Kat takes after you? Seems like that’s a good thing. But, wait! Weren’t you one of those that went on that “little adventure”?
That ornament looks beautiful on your tree Rio.
5:30 pm on December 17th, 2011
Rio: That is a really nice ornament. The Yankee fan who sent it has very good taste.
Tyb: You look so noble in the picture. Thank dawg there are four-leggeds like you!
5:48 pm on December 17th, 2011
T&G: Check your SDD when able…
Hope all is going well.
5:51 pm on December 17th, 2011
Bear, Dima here. I was drug out on that adventure by that redhead (not Pipsqueak)…that’s what I mean about those redheads. Thet are always up to no good and very hard to resist.
What time is the party? Mom and I made our Howling Good Garlic Pretzels.
5:54 pm on December 17th, 2011
We are behind on the Toffee shipping, but I think you will understand. I had planned on packaging it up last Sunday, but spent the day in the ER with mom. I worked full time last week, and then went down to the hospital every night to visit my mom. The hospital is an hour away.
The toffee is all packaged now and will be shipped on Monday. Some of the addresses are on my SDD at work.
We still have lots of toffee left over for the party tonight. If anyone needs to to be blurred over, let me know so that I can tell Wolfie. He is at home with dad.
6:16 pm on December 17th, 2011
Rio? Yark! Did your Colorado Rockies ornament come with the Santa on top? Mine has no Santa, but that is okay because I am a simple guy.
Dima, You got it right about those redheaded Siber girls.
Mom has a cold so I am not letting her come to the party tonight. You wouldn’t want her there. gah
6:20 pm on December 17th, 2011
Wolfie, We are glad that Mary’s mom is doing much better.
I think I need blurring to the party.
6:24 pm on December 17th, 2011
Taste!… I have to admit that Yankees Fan has good taste….snort!… I love that ornament, I really do….sniff!… Speaking of taste, my friend whipped up a huge batch of Blame it On Rio Hot Wings , so that is what I am contributing to the Stover Retirement Parteeeeee!….Woooooo!…Plus, we are watching Pride And Prejudice in honor of Stover….snorkel!
6:24 pm on December 17th, 2011
Party Goers: I’m happy to serve up the first round of root beer floats for everyone.
Snowhook is happy to serve as designated dog team if you don’t mind traveling by sled.
Wolfie: I have no doubt the toffee is worth the wait!
Siber-H: Please tell your mom I hope she feels better.
6:40 pm on December 17th, 2011
Which film of Pride and Prejudice are you watching Rio?
Wolfie: I think I need to be blurred to the party. Hot wings, toffee and root beer floats…..yum!
6:44 pm on December 17th, 2011
Thank you Rebecca…I will tell mom.
There is no point in me bringing NM food to the party since the Royals’ Mum can’t be there. (We hope she is making a fortune at the art show)
I am stopping at a Texas Barbecue joint that is a short distance from my house and picking up some genuine Texas Barbecue and some of their berry cobbler to bring to the party.
6:59 pm on December 17th, 2011
The Cake Is Done!
I’m putting a picture of it up now, just in case it doesn’t blur correctly. (This is in case Franklin decides to take a bite or two on the way. Everyone will know what it’s supposed to look like so he can’t nibble).
I will be in my cosy bed borrowing Dan’s iPad! I had to “fix” something on it and it goes back to him tomorrow. I don’t want to give any one else my cold. The Pack will be attending.
Riö, that ornament looks great. Hope it’s not coming to the Party. The Pack’s tails have been known to clear an entire Christmas tree.
7:02 pm on December 17th, 2011
I love the cake Melanie!!
7:04 pm on December 17th, 2011
Wolfie, can you blur by and pick us up? Pop had to go to work, and Mom made herself some hot chocolate with caramel, put on classical music, and is soaking in her clawfoot tub. She has the door shut and is pretending not to hear us.
7:38 pm on December 17th, 2011
Cake!…Perfect Kake Melanie!….snort!… We are watching the version of Pride and Predudice that has Donald Sutherland playing the Father of all those girls…heh!
Parteeeee!… Has the party started or am I just early?…sniff!sniff! …Is SiberH ready for GGD(Goat Guard Duty)?…sneeze!
7:41 pm on December 17th, 2011
I’m locked and loaded, Rio!
7:46 pm on December 17th, 2011
Did you bring the hot wings Rio?
7:50 pm on December 17th, 2011
Loaded!….snort!….SiberH! I told you to hold off the beer until after your GGD….grunt!… I hope the Goats are not using their Invisibility Cloaks tonight…wheeze!
Wings!… I have dozens and dozens of Hot Wings with me…heh!….You can have a few of them Stover, since it is your party…sniff!
7:51 pm on December 17th, 2011
That is the Pride and Prejudice with Keira Knightley. I have it on dvd. Fun!
7:57 pm on December 17th, 2011
Gah! Time has gotten away from us again. Alas, should have paid more attention when Admin quoted the wise Gandalf this morning: We must use the time we are given.
TYB: You are a working dog, my friend, and what fine work you and your dad do. That is a very handsome picture of you in front of the beautiful tree.
Melanie: Let hope at least some of Professor Stover’s amazing Wizard cake makes it to the party. lol
Bear is bringing his Spirit of Baileys.
7:57 pm on December 17th, 2011
Darcy!…He has professed his love for ole whats her name…heh!…She of course was prejudice…sniff!
8:03 pm on December 17th, 2011
Spirits!….Bear don’t give SiberH any more Spirits till he finishes his guard duty…burp!…Hey, where’s the rest of the food?…sniff!….Where’s Alice and AbbieTheKat?….heh!…I haven’t seen Abbie in a long time. I wonder how much weight she has packed on….grunt!
8:06 pm on December 17th, 2011
Elizabeth’s pride had been hurt by Darcy also.
The hot wings are delish and go really well with the root beer floats. Next Spirit of Baileys….and then cake!
8:07 pm on December 17th, 2011
Rio, I don’t drink…remember why I don’t drink? I start imagining there are videos of you on youtube.
8:15 pm on December 17th, 2011
Videos!…. Hmmmm, I wonder if Rose or Rebeccer has ever seen any of those videos of me that don’t really exist…sniff!…They only really exist in SiberH’s head me thinks…grunt!
8:16 pm on December 17th, 2011
I’m late, I’m late…to B’s party…Oh, no! Well, here’s my contribution for all the kats – yummy salmon balls. Here Siber. Have a few to keep your strength up while on Goat Guard Duty.
8:26 pm on December 17th, 2011
Thanks for the salmon balls, Masquers.
BTW I am doing guard duty out here, but where is out here? Where are we having the party?
8:28 pm on December 17th, 2011
With a fanfare of barking The Pack arrives! Melanie has wrapped the cake to be drool proof. Unfortunately, the same can not be said of Rio as The Pack greet their Commander.
8:40 pm on December 17th, 2011
Hi B and everyone else, and congratulations again on your retirement. I can smell Rio’s hot wings all the way over here, and they smell yummy. Let me grab a few for SiberH. I brought the Pere Roux Cake from New Orleans that my mom made for our Christmas Party last week. I think you will really like it a lot (I know I did). And it’s even in keeping with my high carb diet. Wookie
8:42 pm on December 17th, 2011
and so. NOW the party can start. Natasha has arrived. Now,vhere is my own Siber doggie? Rio – vhat do you mean he is guard doggie? Natasha is rare and precious gem and is in need of big strong guard.
8:43 pm on December 17th, 2011
And lest I forget, a magnum of Cahors for the guest of honor! Wookie
8:45 pm on December 17th, 2011
Hi all, just checking in from Newf central. Mac and Grace have some two legged bgs for left overs to bring home to us. Wookie if you could make sure some of that great sounding cake gets in there? I don’t think there will be any wings left.
8:47 pm on December 17th, 2011
Vookie, Volfie, Rio, Siber, Mac, and Franklin too? Oh, so many handsome vons to dance vith. Vhere oh vhere to begin?
8:47 pm on December 17th, 2011
Natty is here! What exotic dish have you prepared?
8:48 pm on December 17th, 2011
Aww…There aren’t any goats here. The mere threat of all the Sibers doing guard duty was enough to scare them off. I’m going to visit with the Borzoi, who I haven’t seen in a long time. (just as soon as I eat the hot wings Wookie brought me out)
ps I still don’t know where I am.
8:49 pm on December 17th, 2011
Dear Bear – Narasha does Not cook. Natasha has caterers. You may order anything you like.
And then ve vould like dance vith you too!
8:51 pm on December 17th, 2011
Wookie: That cake is to die for! Hmm…the Cahors looks quite tempting, but no…that’s for B.
8:52 pm on December 17th, 2011
FrNklin and Mac are now following Natasha around. Eleanor is giving B a present. As Mattie and Rosalyn look on, B opens a beautifully wrapped box, wham out of nowhere Rose leaps over B’s lap, grabs the box and the chase is on!
8:52 pm on December 17th, 2011
Hey! A dancing Bear!
8:58 pm on December 17th, 2011
We have arrived and we brought a cheese ball that Barb made. It has cream cheese, blue cheese and cheddar, then rolled in ground nuts. We have crackers to go with it. Then for desert we brought some Christmas cookies, home made of course.
Where is the guest of honor, we need to give her a big hug.
Siber, did you remember to bring the “aged” goat?
We would like some root beer, please. No wine for us this year.
9:00 pm on December 17th, 2011
Fifth!…I almost forgot todays Christmas Card!….snort!

Wolfie: I don’t see Buddy and T.C. When you blurred over the Howlers did they somehow get passed over?
9:09 pm on December 17th, 2011
Maggie, Wolfie refused to blurr the aged goat over. Mom said she didn’t blame him.
9:15 pm on December 17th, 2011
Five glasses broke, four plates in pieces, three lamps drooled, two pillows flattened, then Ellie grabs the present from Rose.
Ellie looks adoringly into B’s eyes and drops a slightly wet chewed bone in her lap.
9:18 pm on December 17th, 2011
Pere Roux Cake is superb with the Cahors! So are Barb’s cheese balls. There are enough bottles of Cahors for everyone.
Melanie: I think Rose is after the Cahors now. Can we get the box back from her?
9:18 pm on December 17th, 2011

9:29 pm on December 17th, 2011

SH: I think we’re at the Florida condo. The pool is lovely and the jacuzzi is hot. We’ll swim under the stars. (No snow…sorry.)
9:34 pm on December 17th, 2011
Hey, speaking of Baileys…guess what we found out? Kat has a new best friend at her day kamp…a little Boston Terrior puppy named Bailey. They are inseperable. She gets embarrassed if you tease her about him.
9:34 pm on December 17th, 2011
Rio! It just so happens I have it with me! We’ll be jump’n and jiv’n in so time.
9:37 pm on December 17th, 2011

9:44 pm on December 17th, 2011
The Jacuzzi is too hot for The Pack, but they are doing high dives into the swimming pool. Rose is chasing Masquers to throw him into the pool so Grace can save him.
9:45 pm on December 17th, 2011
OOOO Finally got here. It was a long drive. Alice must have taken the scenic route. We brought lots of Almond Bark and many packets of Friskies. I brought Beachside Crunch Party mix…
9:46 pm on December 17th, 2011
And I brought the Wild West Crunch Friskies.
9:46 pm on December 17th, 2011
Boy that Natasha can dance up a storm. Look at her go. I could barely keep up with her myself. Those steaks are smelling great on the grill! Wookie
9:47 pm on December 17th, 2011
And I brought the Almond Bark. I wouldn’t want any of those nice dogs and Kats accidentally eating Chocolate. And besides I can’t eat chocolate either.
9:50 pm on December 17th, 2011
Ha! Catch Me If You Can!
9:51 pm on December 17th, 2011
Thank You Stover…At least I know where I am now. Part of my state is going to be under a blizzard warning, but, alas, not where I live. So, I am not missing out on anything.
Yark!! I’m in Florida? Florida is almost a bloody island. Yark!!
9:51 pm on December 17th, 2011
OOO Dancing. Hey Buddy, want to shake a tail with me?
My you are good at dancing. Heh heh heh. Look at Abbie the Kitty trying to shimmy.
9:54 pm on December 17th, 2011
B: Luckily Wookie brought you your own magnum of Cahors. Those other bottles are going fast. Looks like some of us will be going home by dog sled.
9:54 pm on December 17th, 2011
AbbieTheKat!…..Gasp!!….Have you ever thought about going on that TV show called, “The Biggest Kitten-Kaboodle Loser”?….heh!
9:57 pm on December 17th, 2011
Newf Central here. That late night last night and this lingering carpola has done me in!
B, congratulations on your next step in life. May you have a fulfilling, restful, and productive time!
Just send The Pack home when the party is over. TTFN
9:58 pm on December 17th, 2011
Wait! SnowBella, your offer of sled rides home isn’t going to work. We’re in Florida for Dog’s sake. Alice, didn’t you bring the jet?
10:02 pm on December 17th, 2011
Nope, no aged goats. That is where I draw the line.
Whoosh, I hope that I got everyone there safely!
10:07 pm on December 17th, 2011
Whew! The stores are crowded but we’re back from getting more ice cream for the floats.
B: I apologize for the state of the flowers from Charlie. Lefty offered to carry them because Charlie was helping me carry the mugs. While Lefty picks petals out of his teeth, Charlie says you can scratch between his ears as part of his reticent gift to you.
No worries on the sled rides home. We can user graphite runners that will hold up tithe concrete jungle.
I-Paw!!! My employer gave me an I-Paw for Christmas. I can quite honestly say this is the nicest thing I own.
10:07 pm on December 17th, 2011
Sorry we took the bus. It was a special bus though. It goes really fast. Do you need a ride back? We are not going home for a while yet because we just got here.
I haven’t even found B. yet to congratulate her. What a crowd. And those Newfies block my view. Heck everyone blocks MY view.
10:07 pm on December 17th, 2011
Hi Everybody! I’m late but I made it. Food me! Food me!

Hi, Alice and Sam!
10:18 pm on December 17th, 2011

10:20 pm on December 17th, 2011

Great par-tee, Bee. Think we’ll have a steak too, rare please.
Do the neighbors mind us hogging the pool and hot tub? If they do I can give them a little nip. Case closed!
10:33 pm on December 17th, 2011
Stover, we are so happy for you. Wish it was our mom that was retiring…hey are you tearing up? Kat and Meashka can kiss those tears away.
