Turnspit Dogs

“This is long but kind of interesting,” Spence says.

“Plus I don’t like it,” says Admin.

Good morning! Mom is working in her office today, so therefore: we can be outdoors all day if we want!
Admin, we did not like that story either. It is amazing that we had never heard of that before (yesterday). heh!

Good morning, everyone! Interesting and educational story but we didn’t enjoy it.

We didn’t much like that story either. Only god thing to come out of it was the ASPCA.

Barb is home today, but it is too cold to be outside and we may get more rain later.

Finished the book about the dog on the hill. It was OK, nothing special, and we didn’t read the last chapter.

Macy, me me me???? I am up top???? Wow!!! I am twirling and I can’t seem to stop!
Mom said I should thank youse for not condemning her as a bad Zeus-Mom. She is still learning my likes and dislikes. I am very different from the other Sibes around here. But hey! I am having a great time now, with those Reds. Who knew they could be so much fun?
(whispering) Wolfie, Dude I would have done the same thing with that chickie if it was just wandering free in my yard, and not behind that blasted fence.

    Greetings!

Howlers, Since your mom is home, and youse will be out in the yard today, does this mean that T.C. Get paroled from the dark, dirty, laundry room?

I loved Beau’s pictures! What a sweetheart! That last picture looked like Beau was saying his prayers last night.

Head shrinking Wednesday! I am convinced that all I need to feel better is Mr. Carrot, ‘Lil Carrot, and my Rose quilt.

Hiya Wose! YES!!! I am free to come and go as I please from my cellar today. That is, until Mommy has to leave to take Meashka to the v-e-t. She will then make sure I am safely in the cellar and lock my little door. I am still not sure about Zeus, although I have to admit he does seem to look kindly at me.

Did youse guys see that super smart bird over in Chet’s facebookie post on the right? He is amazing.

    Good morning, family

Busy day around here. Many errands and then Mama is off to get the new Royal Corgi Carriage. At least dinner is all planned – the chef salad for last night was put on hold when it got very cold in the evening. Tonight is supposed to be warm so lettuce enjoy our salad days.

Growl. My carefully typed post was vanquished when the Power went Out for a brief second. Again. What’s up with that?

BooBear: What I was saying was…even with Microchips the gang could have ended up in jail.
My Best Pal and I had somewhat of the same experience when we lived in Coronado (who knew a 150 lb. Rottweiler could get over that tall gate so easily). Fortunately, like Macy, we had Friends in High Places and got off with a warning…a couple of them if the truth be told.

Thanks, Guys. That man already said he can fix it. The lady says I will keep doing it every time I panic about not getting in in in. She is a bit frazzled over something so silly in my opinion. The man is hard at work fixing the other 2 screens I broke earlier.

Gramp likes to tell the story of dog from the early days – she was upset because the family was going to the lake without her. So, she went right through the living room window.
It was on the second floor.

There was a porch roof under the window, and Gramp talks about the dog skittering and sliding down the roof, to land on the grass at their feet.

She got up, shook herself off, and hoped into the car. She went to the lake after all.

Bear, It wasn’t me. It was a female GSD that had spent the first year of her life living with pigs and then she was “dumped”
on my folks. This girl also tried to jump in a car through a rolled up window. She broke the window but was not injured. Mom woke up one morning to find her standing in the kitchen sink.
It took time, but she became a civilized family member.

I may or may not have also eaten their garage door opener, a broom, a fishing rod and striped their house of its wiring. This was after running five miles a day with the pop. I was a born sled dog. Maybe youse too are a born sled dog. Patsy Ann says she will blur over to help your paw assess the situation. (Whispering) I think Patsy Ann is sweet on your paw.

Thanks for the ideas and story sharing, although some of your stories are scaring me a bit much. I have had some anxiety-prone Sibes…well, o.k. Just one: Misha Moonman. But he was never anxious about geting in in in. And when he got his very own Sasha, he left anxiety behind. So this is brand new. So far, Zeus has been good in the house while we are at work all day. I hope that does not change. I really wish I knew more of his story, so I could figure out the best plan, but I do think Maggie is right that we need to keep him with us, inside or outside, when we are home.

ML, I bet you are right about MsSonja being a boat. That makes total sense.

MPM, We know not of which you speak! Me a Shadow?

Once a long time ago a dog behavior specialist told Barb to walk dogs on leashes side by side if they are not getting along. It is extra work, but I would try it for awhile and not let them have free time together till you get this worked out. Someone could get hurt. If they are together and it is not an all out battle, a spray hose might work. Try that before it escalates into a full blown battle. We know Sibes do not like water.

We have been cleaning like crazy here. A friend of mine is coming for an overnight. She will sleep in the spare bedroom in Alice’s bed. Too bad for Alice. I had to get stuff put away that has been sitting in the library since we got back to the farm.

    Yikes.

And floors. We had to vacuum and mop floors. And kitchen counters had to be excavated. We could have used a little bit of Mr.Husky’s digging talents. It is starting to look pretty good around here. It is always stressful and then we think how much we really do like our home.

MollysMaw!…Alex brought us all to our knees here and to tears with his last song….sniffle!…We know he will not make it to the final two, but he will make it BIG. …heh!… Caleb may have blown what was left of his voice out tonight. I hope he can recover. There is another whole week left, right? Before they pick one out of two. Those two being Caleb and Jena – way hard choice, but I am sticking with Caleb…wheeze!
