Have a good trip Spence.
We here are taking a nap.
Zzzzzzzzz
11:39 am on March 15th, 2014
We are hoping Siber-H travels to see Spence.
HOH and Dawson: Mom has her Alaska sox on too. Solidarity.
11:56 am on March 15th, 2014
Fellow Sibers, Even if I left right now, I could not get to Tucson in time to see Spence.
Tucson…High of 77 degrees with 20 mph winds today.
I wish I could get up to C.Hobbit’s to help her shovel snow. Rio left too soon.
Macy’s Mom and family. You are in our thoughts and prayers. We love you and are here for you.
12:00 pm on March 15th, 2014
Sent 4/6 of the group back to NY, ILL, MN and Canada this A.M. after breakfast. I took a zzzzzzzzzzzzz.
OH: Wow 3 twins 🙂
Boy, has Rio been busy. All he has done today beside breakfast is snooze and snore.
12:11 pm on March 15th, 2014
I wonder why it’s “sisters” in crime. Have a good panel discussion Spence.
Good afternoon all.
12:34 pm on March 15th, 2014
Snort!….On the Road Again!…sniff!…OUT!OUT!OUT!
12:48 pm on March 15th, 2014
HRH B: Pondering…..Maybe the business is 1) owned by biological sisters or 2) the women who own it are like sisters? Maybe that is too obvious. Will continue to ponder.
1:47 pm on March 15th, 2014
Methinks t’will be a quiet day on this here blog. Between late start, napping P I G’s, highway traveling P I G’s, exhausted Snowhook musher and BDHW, snow shoveling Hobbit and people dealing with medical stuff, postings may be few and far between.
Siber – we got a chuckle over the idea of you getting to Tucson. People don’t realize how big the states are out there. Now, if he was back in Santa Fe, there might be a chance.
We haven’t been posting much, but we do want to say that both Rick and Cherokee are in our prayers, and we are so glad to see that ALR and our BB Lurker are still with us.
1:49 pm on March 15th, 2014
I’m reading a book about anti-gravity. I can’t put it down.
1:51 pm on March 15th, 2014
Elliott Anderson scratched at Golovin.
Mom travelled 7 hours to hear TBDHW. Just sayin’.
1:53 pm on March 15th, 2014
Only 3 musher left in Iditarod. All rookies, all women, all near White Mountain.
1:55 pm on March 15th, 2014
Howler’s Mom – you mean you traveled 7 hours to hear REBECCA???? We thought you did it to see US!
(giggle)
2:05 pm on March 15th, 2014
Mom traveled 20 miles last September to meet OFA.
In an ideal world, mom could go to Tucson and I could go to C.Hobbits.
2:07 pm on March 15th, 2014
B&S, Momma wanted to hear TBDHW’s one woman show. Why? I couldn’t tell hou. I fell asleep.
Me? I went along to see Tupper and Gilly and Callie and the River Bears and you you you!!! Oh yeah, and Gramps and The Storyteller and Stinky Mama and Melanie. <3
2:09 pm on March 15th, 2014
And Zoe and Dan…whew! I sure had a great time up in the hills of western Massachusetts, which Momma says I did not see because I slept thru the scenery. Whatever.
2:27 pm on March 15th, 2014
HOH, anti-gravity, heh heh
3:00 pm on March 15th, 2014
I’m wondering if any of the Plunderers is going to write a book titled Travels with Rio.
3:09 pm on March 15th, 2014
Team Snowhook & Melanie, Two great races bravely fought and won.
Congratulations to both of you.
Welcome home.
Siber-H, What about your Porsche? You could be in Tucson in no time flat!
BTW. My dad says to say thank you again for getting us interested in the Iditarod.
Wow! This year’s race was unbelievable and it’s not over yet. There are still three rookies out on the trail.
It is very sad news about Elliot Anderson. He was trying so hard to get to White Mountain.
3:34 pm on March 15th, 2014
Home!…I’m getting homesick….sniffle!…All this traveling is for the birds…heh!
Golinka!…Check your SDD Quick! like a butterfly!…snort!
4:03 pm on March 15th, 2014
Trigger, I brought up with mom earlier exactly what you said about how quick I could get to Tucson in the Porsche. In return, I got “the look”. “The look translates into something like,”you are off your noodle”.
4:14 pm on March 15th, 2014
We are back from Cama Beach! Too bad my mom can’t figure out how to send fotos from her new GoPhone. Gah.
HOH: “reading a book on gravity…couldn’t put it down” snicker.
You’re a hoot!
Siber: The Porsche could make to Tucson…I just know it ^..^
4:15 pm on March 15th, 2014
Siber: Oh oh…The Look…say no more.
4:28 pm on March 15th, 2014
(whispering) Hey Basil – whaddya say we make it up to that Evil Pug, and blur him home. That will save him that looooooonnng car trip.
And it will save them from Pugly emanations too.
4:31 pm on March 15th, 2014
No Basil – you can’t carry him by the tail. Come on, share the (ummppphhh) load!
Look, we practiced this ok. Lift, (grunt) and one…two…three…blurrrrrrrrrr
Oops.
4:34 pm on March 15th, 2014
GAH!….Yeeeeep!….Damned Kats!…grump!
4:38 pm on March 15th, 2014
Sneeze!…Ouch!grunt!…Rio gid off my head…grump!…Where did you come from anyways?…sneeze!cough!
4:39 pm on March 15th, 2014
Home!…I’m home! I’m home! There’s no place like home!…wheeze!…And I smell cinnamon rolls baking…Wooooo!…My friend must be back in the kitchen…snort!snort!
4:39 pm on March 15th, 2014
ooops!…sniff!sniff!…Beau, dammit!
5:07 pm on March 15th, 2014
RIO! You must have some tales to tell! I know you must be happy to be back home.
5:17 pm on March 15th, 2014
Welcome home Rio. You might want to count your baseball toys since you left them with Beau in charge. Just saying.
5:39 pm on March 15th, 2014
Pixie, please check your SDD when able.
CHobbit, snicker.
5:41 pm on March 15th, 2014
CHobbit, Is it still snowing?
5:42 pm on March 15th, 2014
Hmmm…maybe Basil and Sage should write a book about Travels With Rio.
5:51 pm on March 15th, 2014
Wose: no it is not still snowing. After 13″ it is clear and sunny. Thank goodness. I have the patio door open for fresh air and so that Sadie can go in and out. This morning I just had to do a little more shoveling on the deck and the driveway and then tackle the dog yard which had the full amount of snow. It is supposed to snow again on Monday.
Billy’s Buddy: you have to keep in mind that with any travel book written by Rio the focus would be on keeping an eye out for his next beer and treatie–and who has the softest bed. His friend would have to prompt him to talk about who he met and what he saw.
5:58 pm on March 15th, 2014
Toys!…All of my toys are scattered willy-nilly all over the house….grump!…That’s the way Beau rolls. He drags all his stuff out and leaves it here and there….grumble!…This is going to take me awhile to find them and get them back in all their right places…sniff!
6:08 pm on March 15th, 2014
Macy’s Mom–Blessings and strong thoughts and prayers. (Also make sure not to neglect your own health during this challenging time–possibly easier for me to say than for you to do, but please do take care of yourself.)
Hello All–I hope you’re travelling safely and resting up. I LOVE the idea of a travels with Rio book (and he did do quite well in bringing the butterfly sanctuary to life, so it’s not just outoutout and treats and beer).
Too bad Mr. Quinn (he travels with Chet, right?) can’t make it to SoCa–I’d brave the freeways if he did.
6:09 pm on March 15th, 2014
Oh wait–I also meant to ask–what is a “Callie”? (Is that Rio for bearded collie, or some other breed with which I’m not familiar?)
6:11 pm on March 15th, 2014
HOH–Just got the anti-gravity joke (these go down like gangbusters with my library pals, btw.)
6:18 pm on March 15th, 2014
Diane – Callie is a Great Pyrenees who lives with us. She is Gramp’s dog.

6:25 pm on March 15th, 2014
Grampa!…Don’t get me started on Grampa!…snort!…How is he doing without me there sitting on his lap and licking his arm…heh!heh!
6:28 pm on March 15th, 2014
Rio – Gramp misses you. And he can get those pants deodorized and mended with no problem.
6:55 pm on March 15th, 2014
Basil!…You might have him check his shoes before he puts them on again…wheeze!…Just saying.
6:55 pm on March 15th, 2014
Basil!…You might have him check his shoe-s before he puts them on again…wheeze!…Just saying.
7:14 pm on March 15th, 2014
>>>>>>>>> RIOOOOO!!!! <<<<<<<<<<
7:27 pm on March 15th, 2014
Gah! There is something about that odiferous little pug that I miss…the ODORS 🙂
7:31 pm on March 15th, 2014
Oh-Boy!…I am sure glad I am all the way across the USA from Gramps right now…snuffle!
7:37 pm on March 15th, 2014
Oh, Rio, a gift to Gramps from the heart, or some other body part.
7:58 pm on March 15th, 2014
OK, Plunderfest East, the Herd is missing its mom and so am I. Could I please get her back soon?
8:00 pm on March 15th, 2014
My best friend Cherokee was here visiting. He is drop-dead gorgeous. Kat’s godmom has the pictures.
Still 3 women vying for the Red Lantern. I don’t rest until they are all in Nome.
8:20 pm on March 15th, 2014
Hoping Mollypop’s Mom, Barb of B&Maggie, Dawson and Staff are back in New York safe and sound.
8:33 pm on March 15th, 2014
Herd’s Mom: We are in New York getting ready to catch the (almost) midnight train to Chicago.
Dirty Daddy Dawg: The Herd’s Mom continued the tradition of Tennessee folk beating the Canadian at cribbage.
8:38 pm on March 15th, 2014
OH: Have your ‘rents seen that the last 3 mushers are 10, 11 and 12 miles out?
8:40 pm on March 15th, 2014
Daddy Dawg – can we keep her one more day? She gives the best ear rubs! We promise to return her to the airport tomorrow night. What plane she gets on- well, that’s something you will have to discuss with her.
We are so happy we had the P I G s here. We are already lonely without them.
8:47 pm on March 15th, 2014
T&G are right. Heading back to “good ol’ Rocky Top” tomorrow night which will make tomorrow a l-o-n-g day. Nighty night.
8:51 pm on March 15th, 2014
My Mom is trying to upload a pic of me and my sibe cousins Kat and Meashka today, but she is having issues…. geez, why can’t she figure out this stuff. If I had fingers instead of paws, I would have already the pic uploaded!
8:55 pm on March 15th, 2014
Cherokee: We here know just what you mean…we sure do.
8:55 pm on March 15th, 2014
HOH, We do see those 3 teams running together. Wonder who will win the Red Lantern.
9:02 pm on March 15th, 2014
News!…Surely one of them will post on this here blog and let us know they are okay….snort!…They all cheered as I was blurring away from them for some reason…gruffle!…Here’s me thinking they liked having me along for the ride…sniff!
9:03 pm on March 15th, 2014
Ooops!…Gah!….Batting Zero today…sniff!
9:03 pm on March 15th, 2014
In about 1/2 hour we will go back to the train station and check our luggage all the way through to Minneapolis (hopefully). After we leave Judy’s home we will be incommunicado again. Drat it. I believe the Chicago station has wi-fi but that is not until tomorrow morning. If it has it. It is a really plush station.
We really had a great time here and I am sorry to be leaving all the new friends that I have had for years but didn’t meet until now. It was really heartbreaking that I didn’t get to meet the sister of my heart. But the ability to share my appreciation of her life with our friends was a balm to my heart.
9:21 pm on March 15th, 2014
Awww Staff – you made our Mama start crying.
It’s ok. She needs to cry.
9:25 pm on March 15th, 2014
Spent the day with my awesome Sibe cousins Kat and Meashka and my Godmom Eileen and Ray!! It was my celebration of making it to the end of the Iditarod! What a great day!!!!

SiberH!…I just want to point out that all three of those Sibers are not on leashes…snort!…I think you are leading us astray when you say you guys will take every opportunity to Run!Run!Run! if not on a leash….chuffle!….Maybe it is just You who is a misbehaving Siber…heh!heh!
10:04 pm on March 15th, 2014
I am on leash because my Mom doesn’t trust that I won’t take off!!!
10:10 pm on March 15th, 2014

1:14 am on April 18th, 2014
Piece of writing writing is also a fun, if you know after that you can write or else it is complicated to write.
