Peachtree Creek flows behind the house where we’re staying for this reenactor case, me and Bernie. A really nice house, only now because of all the rain, Bernie says, Peachtree Creek is flowing all around the house. And we’re trapped. It kind of makes me nervous. I’m staying right beside Bernie.

Yikes Chet! I think I remember that Peachtree Creek might be kind of close to here. Maybe you should swim for it.

Wow. My mom lived in a house on stilts when she was little, and every spring, the creek would flood. Once they had to move out for a while, on account of the flooding.

The creek ran alongside the house; the front yard ended in the Ohio River. The yard flooded every spring….
