Mom is still smiling about last night. Thank you for all the kind word about the pictures. Thanks should go to the iPad! The only thing that would have made last night better would have been if David Rosenfelt had been there too. Wonder what happened with that.
Mom did wear her badge and had her passport signed and Chet paw printed. SQ did not have his passport with him so Mom didn’t get to put my special stamp in it. Maybe next time……

Mom tells us it is called Bumble Foot and she is sure Barb knows all about that. They are fine…it was caught before any issues were occurring. It could have been treated at home if Mom and Pop weren’t such chickens…heh heh!

ewwww – we just looked up bumblebee foot in chickens – ick. We would be too “chicken” to deal with it too.
Our butterfly bush isn’t getting much in the way of butterflies, but we are getting hummingbirds. Not a bad trade off all in all.
Siber – we think your Mom is correct – the combination of you and Rio in the same room would give paws to the bravest soul. Just remember what happened when we all went to the Really Big Wedding at the palace a coupe of years back. Sheesh, the royal gardens will never be the same.

HoH; Yes, we had some fairly torrential downpours here most of the day, with some flooding of low lying streets near us. Even a bit of water seeped into the basement, not too bad but it has actually been quite some time since that has happened. At least our killer squash plants are soaking it all up.

I have heard of the chicken problem, but it is bumble foot not bumblebee foot, I believe. We never had a chicken that got it and I thought it was fairly rare. If you have two chickens with it, I would do some reading on preventative measures. Backyard Poultry Mag. might be a good place to start. It could have something to do with the height of the roosts or maybe splinters they are getting from the roosts. I think it generally starts with cuts that get infected. Also, I think they can be prone to it if they don’t get calcium added to their food. That is all I know.

Barb, our perch in the coop is a standard height. Maybe the one in the run is a bit higher. Most people probably would have ever noticed this issue. Pop is very observant when it comes to his girls. We do wonder if it could be caused by the shavings they use. They get those delivered bulk for the horses, and Po says they could cause splinters. Now they are re-thinking the idea of sand instead.

We here watched an episode of “Too Cute” today that featured tiny Corgis. Is there anything cuter. I can’t thing of anything right off hand. They fell of everything they attempted and rolled like tumble bugs. Just like the name said: too cute!

Detail!…One thing I am going to blab about is this. My friend and her good friend did not sit in the front row and she did not wear her badge, the one with me on it…grump!…So Spencer did not know who she was so he deviously told the story of the blog and then of the Quilt…snort!…Mind you he did not mention me once in this story. But he went on to totally embarrass my friend by naming her name and asking if she was in the audience and to please Stand Up…gasp!gurgle!…Well she was totally beside herself and for some reason she did stand up. Why? I will never know. The rest is a blurr. The standing up part, not the whole evening…sniff!
