Good morning, everyone! Laughing our donkeys off at the b-day shenanigans last night ???? Break a leg, Spence and have a great time. Wish we could see or hear it. Buddy has waxed poetic about Frangio in the past.
Have a satisfying Saturday! ????⛷⚾️???????????????????? or ????

Knock it out of the park, Spence!
Good day to all!
9:50 am on April 16th, 2016
Me too!
I’d love to attend the reading to hear the voice of Chet and do some whale watching afterwards.
Good morning all.
It is 4 degrees below freezing but for the next week the forecast is all temperatures above freezing. Hooray!
10:04 am on April 16th, 2016
Dawson, are you saying that Spring has sprung? LL , are y’all having Spring still?
10:06 am on April 16th, 2016
Wow…wish I could be there! Jim Frangione, as I’ve said before, really is the perfect voice for the books. When’s the next one, huh? When when when when?
10:47 am on April 16th, 2016
HOH: Yes! Sunny and nearly 70 degrees right now. Later in the p.m. temperatures are expected to reach 77.
Today is husband’s sibling lunch day — near the Twin Cities. Youngest brother will be 60 next week. All six sibs are able to attend. How lucky is that?!

Staff! The Twins won their first game of the season last night. As someone on the blog says, “Woo and Hoo!” Or is it “Whoo”?
10:59 am on April 16th, 2016
I know Linda. Sniff we were too meloncholy to rejoice. It seems like too little too late and there are 152 games left in the season.
Sob. On a happier note, it rained last night. All of a sudden the brown winter grass has this sort of different color. It is hard to explain it…

Maybe it is green?
11:06 am on April 16th, 2016
Staff, we have a complaint…the Chattanooga Outlooks are a Double A farm team for the Twinsies. Last year they were the Southern League champs. This year they are 3 and 6 and are in the cellar. Wuz up?
11:07 am on April 16th, 2016
I have been to Rothsay, MN. The Prairie Chicken capitol of the world. There is a 40 foot high Prairie Chicken right across from the truck stop with the good restaurant. I have never seen a real Prairie Chicken though. These guys are cool. The low woo woo sound they make is sometimes described as booming. Nice!

11:09 am on April 16th, 2016
HOH, Did the Outlooks trade up some players to the Rockies? I hear the Rockies have a really great new young shortstop this year.
11:47 am on April 16th, 2016
Celebration!….Continues!…snort!snort!…Someone gets to go out for a very nice lunch today all expenses paid….burp!
11:49 am on April 16th, 2016
Event!….The Spence and Jim Frangione event has passed…sniff!…I don’t think it was broadcast anyways…wheeze!
11:53 am on April 16th, 2016
Prairie!….Those prairie hens have a very kool costume…heh!heh!
12:04 pm on April 16th, 2016
We don’t know if we’d like our front end to look like our back end! Love their song.
12:16 pm on April 16th, 2016
I want a prairie chicken or I’m going to be in a very bad mood. Their population is way down according to the Wikipedia article:
“Central Wisconsin is home to approximately 600 individuals, down from 55,000 when hunting was prohibited in 1954.”
The human being has a lot to answer for.
Here is a link to the article:

Interesting Wiki article…thanks, B.
1:04 pm on April 16th, 2016
Good morning all. Wish I could go to the library and hear them. How cool would that be!
Staff, love the Prairie Chicken video. I assume that is a dance they do to attract hens?
Have had my humming bird feeder up for a week and haven’t seen a single hummer so far. I thought they were usually in northern Illinois about the first or second week in May.
1:08 pm on April 16th, 2016
Rio’s friend has a lot of celebrating to do before she can catch up with my sister, Sally. We joke that she doesn’t have a birth-day, but rather a birth-month. Her b-day was 3/25 and on Thursday she said she was going out with two girlfriends for her birthday dinner. She started around mid March and is still going! She holds herself in high regard!
1:43 pm on April 16th, 2016
Cancelled!…Lunch was cancelled due to blowing snow and rain…grump!
1:54 pm on April 16th, 2016
Rio, when all else fails grilled cheese sandwich and cream of tomato soup. May not be a birthday feast but it’s good comfort food!
Staff I think part of the change from the Dodgers to the Twins may have involved some of the younger players moving up. After all they were dodger trained.
2:13 pm on April 16th, 2016
Rockies!…At least there is a Rockies game starting right now!…snort!…They will be playing the Cubs again. Yesterday they beat the Cubs…heh!heh!….Now remember, the Cubbies are the team to watch this year according to Admin…wuffle!chuffle!…He predicts they will be in the World Series….snort!
2:22 pm on April 16th, 2016
Uh OH!…Jake Arrieta is pitching…gulp!
3:45 pm on April 16th, 2016
Riõ! Sending some warm weather your way…the bad news is it has been delayed and won’t reach you until Wednesday.
WeatherKat.
4:01 pm on April 16th, 2016
WeatherKat!…..Bah!
4:24 pm on April 16th, 2016
Every time we look up at the 2016 Plunderer calendar and see the Howlers, especially Kat and the Donut, we grin. But we wonder is Zeus was busy cleaning the stove when the fotos were being taken.
4:25 pm on April 16th, 2016
GAH, wonder IF Zeus…
4:31 pm on April 16th, 2016
Sausage and chicken gumbo simmering here. Should be enough to go around. Mom has never figured out how to make soups, stews, gumbos in anything less than a 5 gallon bucket…HEY, it freezes, people like it and it is great another night.
Blur on by if y’all would some.
4:31 pm on April 16th, 2016
Hounds: Hahaha. We Knew What You Meant.
4:32 pm on April 16th, 2016
Food? Say No More!
5:48 pm on April 16th, 2016
I am not really sure what a gumbo is. Is is a soup or a stew? I will go to wikipedia and try to figure it out.
5:48 pm on April 16th, 2016
Spectre!….We are all downstairs watching a Daniel Craig 007 movie…snort!snort!…I just love that guy!…Zow!
5:49 pm on April 16th, 2016
Staff!….Snort!
5:54 pm on April 16th, 2016
Rio, sniff! Twins! Speaking of Twins they won their second game of the season today. Maybe it is spring.
It looks like it has to have Okra to be Gumbo. I ate the first Okra of my life while visiting my father at the foster home. Mounier and Suhair, the people who own the house and take care of Dad, are Egyptian. They had Okra in a tomato sauce on their stove one night and gave me a bowl of it. YUM! It was like a vegetable stew using only Okra and spices and tomtoe sauce. I would eat it again.
6:20 pm on April 16th, 2016
Someone Here has not had good experiences with Okra…it was canned…Not Recommended.
6:44 pm on April 16th, 2016
HOH: I love the Oley page too! As for Zeusikov, he is featured on the June 2015 page of the Plunder On! calendar, along with my favorite picture of Kat (on her boat), and our friend Ziber-H. I miss Siber-H and his mom very much…
6:46 pm on April 16th, 2016
Bear, Their Okra was fresh! I believe that makes a world of difference with all vegetables.
Rose, Yes the O’Howlers page is one of the best. My favorite pages are the first 12!
6:47 pm on April 16th, 2016
Here is the picture of Zeusikov from the 2015 calendar:
Such a handsome husky!

Mom usually cooks without okra. She uses weird vegetable blends (sometimes with okra) but usually without. Tonight we are standing at the stove asking for more but mom said we needed to wait till friends burred in and we could have more later when they left. BSD and Staff, lets call it a stoup (stew/soup) over rice. Lots to share and/or freeze for later 🙂
6:52 pm on April 16th, 2016
Zeus, you are such a handsome guy. And your eyes…hou make our hearts go giddy up! And we love your lovely black coat 😉
7:00 pm on April 16th, 2016
Zeus! Those eyes. Swoon.
HOH I will agree. It is a Stoup.
We are having rain here again. The grass is even greener than it was this morning. We have had a really dry winter so this is good for the farmers. It is not a fast rain but a nice soaking rain. Jut what we need.
7:02 pm on April 16th, 2016
If anyone wants to check out my FB page you can see Lily surfing at Lake Geneva today. Water is cold, so she is wearing a wet suit. This is what she wanted to do today to celebrate her 14th birthday. And then out for pizza tonight. I was invited, but don’t like to drive in the dark, so going up for breakfast instead.
7:31 pm on April 16th, 2016
Barb,Magpie,Lucy: Cool Photos!
7:43 pm on April 16th, 2016
Thanks, Staff…Fresh is Always Best!
7:44 pm on April 16th, 2016
Staff: Your comment about the calendar is making me laugh. :^)
7:54 pm on April 16th, 2016

7:55 pm on April 16th, 2016

8:04 pm on April 16th, 2016

9:15 pm on April 16th, 2016
Hey, mom says only a week and a half until ARF comes out! ????
9:44 pm on April 16th, 2016
Hi everyone. Mama just dragged herself in from the First Show Of The Season. She looks exhausted, but very, very happy. We think we foresee Slim Jims in the near future.
We will admit that we have never tried okra. As soon as someone described it as being a “slimy” vegetable, we decided that we could live without it.
And BeeStover is now needing a Prairie Chicken if she is to not emulate Miss Belle Starr and be in a Very Bad Mood?? Oh my gracious – exactly how long HAVE we been gone from this here blog?
For those of you with facebookie type accounts, please check out the page for Cyclepottery. (all one word) You will see why.
10:12 pm on April 16th, 2016
Staff, just realized that we called our team the wrong name. They are the Lookouts, like Lookout Mountain. Going to bed to dream of those strange Prairie Chickens. Nighty night. ????
11:04 pm on April 16th, 2016
Tupper’s Mama: Wow! The break from making pottery seems to have fostered the use of new textures, unusual materials and even more beautiful creations from your talented hands.
12:16 am on April 17th, 2016
T&G , okra is a slimy veg until you batter it all up with cornmeal and fry the heck out of it. Yummmm
Love the pottery, especially the lizards.

So great grandchild to come on Labor Day this year (River Carpenter’s little sibling) is indeed a boy! We did FaceTime and watched the ceremony. Rob could not stop grinning.
