Swimming—I don’t understand why a perfectly good dog would want to swim. My Lady and I will keep our paws in dry ground, thank you very much. Speaking of my Lady, she landed in Seattle a bit ago. I’ve recieved reports that she saw the Hobbit—our friend, not the movie—yesterday. She said the Hobbit’s hair has gotten long.

Good morning, everyone! Tenzing, some dogs that aren’t from icy climes actually LIKE water (Labs, Newfs, Retrievers) We 2 black Canadians love it, Pookey , on the other hand only drinks it. Mom tripped over a heater vent this a m and found a colony of invisible, feral, long-haired chihuahuas living in it š GAH How can a girl from CA remember everything. Thought she was good to call the chimney sweep this year. Had heater and AC checked. Changes heater filter every 3 weeks….SO
howe is mom supposed to remember DUCKS as well…..oh, ducts, gah.
Mom will have a trying Tuesday…trying to get leaves and hair gone, try ing to vaccuum ducts, trying to launder lots of muddy stuff…Have a Tuesday!

In the summer The Giant will take groups of the kennel to a nearby lake for a swim to beat te heat. I have nothing against the heat so I stay on shore. Luna is part fish. Belle Starr in part fish only because Luna is. It is madness, I tell youse. Madness.

Mom told us that Kahlua , our husky-shepard predecessor once fell into the fish pond and leapt straight into the air about 6 feet (is that a number) to get back to the deck. Good morning! We would like to thank Tupper and Gilly for sharing the true meaning of Christmas, which is NOT about presents. If there were more folks like T&G’s mama in our world, we wouldn’t be the Bah Humbugs we are. In fact, we feel that way about all holidays. It seems that our family does not celebrate them in the way in which they were created. Take Memorial Day, for example. Is that not a somber day to give appreciation to those who serve? Or is it just a day to eat and shoot fireworks? Fireworks, on Memorial Day. Yup.

When momma and I were on our way home from the One Woman BDHW Show in the mountains of Massachusetts, we stopped in Woodstock, NY. We had a nice time eating there, but before we left, mom took me to an ocean (she called it a crick) and would you believe she pushed me in that water??!!!!! Right off the edge into all that water!!!! I leaped on up to dry ground just like Kahlua did, HOH. I have never forgiven my momma, now that i am reminded. Oh no I have not.

A few snow flurries but nothing much going on outside.
A few minutes ago Barb was in the kitchen and heard a strange sound – followed it to the laundry room and realized the garage door was opening ON ITS OWN! Now she is afraid to go any where. Or what if that happened in the middle of the night?

Barb, Momma thinks a neighbor is playing tricks on you. They used to have a friend who would hit his garage door opener while driving in the hopes of finding someone’s garage door on the same code frequency. It never worked, but it could have. Can you get your code changed?

Whoops . . The video and the one below it was grand. Franklin could not swim as a pup. Thrashing comes to mind. He did improve.
On the other paw, he would down the small rapids in the river at the side of the house. He stopped doing that when he got big.

We think there is something wrong with the garage door opener, so we are going to call someone to come and look at it. Lately it has refused to stay closed on several occasions. Josh thinks the concrete has heaved slightly due to the extreme cold and the sensors are reacting as though there is something the door is hitting when it reaches the floor. We think this morning’s event is related to that.

Hi Melanie. I hurt my back so I’ve been alternating between a cold pack and a heating pad and haven’t been on the computer much lately. It’s better today.
I’ve seen several episodes of Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries. (I think both Melanie and Teddy RR’s dad recommended the series.) It’s very good and I especially love her outfits.

Have you all heard about Harvard university being evacuated yesterday? Our show was in the building right across the street from where the bombs were reported to be. Our van was parked right in front of that building.
Sheesh.
But we are pretty sure the bomb scare was the result of some students not being prepared for the final exams that were to be held in those buildings. The exams had to be cancelled. Not postponed, cancelled.
Hmmm. Sounds suspicious to us.

Kat: Luna pushed me in rapids in a river a long time ago. I’ve never forgiven her. My Lady leapt from the oats, grabbed me by the scruff and jumped back into position for the rest of the rapids. I took my new position sitting her lap for the duration of the river run. I couldn’t be convinced to do otherwise.

Back from the accupuncturist. Our low was at 6:30 am, -15 degrees.
His temperature vague is better than ours. Ours says “Not going there!” with anything lower than 0. Up to 12 degrees now.

Well, it appears that I was unduly skeptical. If the airlines will accept the kid’s green cards, they will appear on the Tricia Show on Friday. (I’ve never heard of it.) The show sent a taxi today and took them to Fresno to get a DNA test.

Mom is so happy with her auction winnings! She got the picture of Jem with the OH’s mom’ s quote and the tipping bird picture and loves the both. The necklace from Amalia was going straight to her sister so she won’t see it until the family get together. The tipping bird is a gift for a friend who is a birder but Mom really wishes she could keep it ( especially since she put it in a frame)!
