“There’s All Kinds Of Beauty In Life.”

A sentiment that occurs to Chet from time to time, but the first mention of it isn’t until the beginning of book 5, A Fistful Of Collars (but don’t forget the series can be read in any order. In fact, if anyone has started at the most recent, Of Mutts And Men and worked backward like countdown we’d like to hear from you.)

“Heard you drove another one off a cliff,” said Nixon Panero. He spat a thin brown stream of chewing tobacco into an empty paint can, or maybe not that empty. Yellow paint, the yellow of egg yolks, now with a brown swirl in the middle: there’s all kinds of beauty in life.

“ all kinds of beauty in life“. Egg yolk yellow and brown, and orange sunset reflecting eyes and teeth… It seems like many of the all kinds of beauty comments from Chet has something to do with vibrant colors. We don’t know why Bernie doesn’t trust Chet when it comes to red.
    Have a great weekend all.

There is a photo of Howie getting into trouble on FB. She is so cute I bet she gets away with a lot. And I bet she has already made it onto the big bed.

Good day all. Now that it is cold, Sadie needs to be quicker at checking and deciding whether or not to respond to pee-mail. Just saying.

Rio: I just fed Sadie “pizza bones” as an appetizer for her supper.

Where I used to live has had a very snowy and cold winter so far. Yesterday Fairbanks had a record-breaking 24-hour snowfall: 12″
Anchorage had its first real snowfall yesterday and of course there were crashes that shut down the traffic. I try to stay off the roads on the first snow day but I was trying to take a foster kitty to the vet in Palmer. I wasn’t able to do so and will be trying again on Monday.

Chicken!…I got some chicken before it was soaked in that hot sauce. My friend says I would be up all night if I ate some of that hot sauce. Mother does not get any hot sauce chicken for the same reason….yeeep!

    Burp! We love pizza bones.
We hid the avatar in the yard earlier but since our people shared pizza bones tonight, we bought it back.

I always save Sadie the last of the crust that makes up the rim of the pizza. Hence: pizza bones. She has come to expect them.
