The Teitelbaum Divorce …

… comes up a lot in the Chet and Bernie series, as does the broom closet case, both of them bad memories in Chet’s mind. But they’re different: the broom closet case, which runs like a thread through the series, tragic, and the Teitelbaum divorce essentially comic. The Teitelbaum divorce ended up as this short story (available digitally and in audio).

Mr. Big with his Pumpkin Festive Ruff (sometimes called a Frill). There is a Ghost one also but we are recovering from the trauma of the photo shoot. Maybe by tomorrow he will have forgotten me putting a ruff on him. Here’s hoping.

Ahem…I would like to introduce youse to Howard Hazel Nigel Jr. She goes by Howie for short. She is named to honor, as my Lady puts it, “two strays and a Nigel.” It turns out they were and I am her heart. It also turns out that my Lady thinks I’m the type of dog who can appreciate having her own dog. Not to fail the younger generation, I have commissioned the puppy rearing services of Pancho & Lefty Academy for Manners and Wotnot—-you’re welcome.

Hazel Sr, thank you for the introduction. Howie is very cute and I’m sure will work hard to fill some big paw prints.

Mr Big, THE HORROR!! A COSTUME!! You did right to destroy that frill! But, I will admit, you looked very handsome in it.
