The Silver-Teethed Dude: Sneak Peek From To Fetch A Thief

What reminded me of this was when I mentioned Zutty Yepremian yesterday, if I actually did. Zutty was nothing compared to the silver-teethed dude, a real pussycat. Whatever that might mean.

His eyes opened wide, although not very wide, because of how narrow they were to begin with. He recognized me, no doubt about that, and the sight of me ticked him off big-time. That had happened before with perps too numerous to mention, Zutty Yepremian, for example, or Sing Jong Soo, and didn’t bother me at all. But when he jabbed the pitchfork right at my head – that bothered me. I darted away from those sharp pointy ends, then came at him from the side, real quick, but he turned out to be real quick himself, getting the pitchfork between us and jabbing again. I dodged, tried to go underneath, take him out by the ankles, one of my best moves, but down came the pitchfork, blocking my path. And what was this? Holding the pitchfork in one hand, the silver-teethed dude reached into his pocket with the other and drew a gun.

I agree B. Silver teeth, Chet should be wary of silver teeth dudes and with pointy end pitch forks.

The dogs are wondering, as was Chet, what does "a real pussycat" mean. They told me they had met real pussycats and they aren't very nice (sorry to all the splendid kats here, but it IS the dogs' point of view). There's one cat in particular who knows the pack can't get over the fence and comes over to bother them.

Oh, No!!!! A serious situation situation for Chet!!! Solution has to be "When is the release date on T-Fat??" These teasers are serious Love/Hate days!! Love reading them and getting everyones take on them…Hate having to wait for the whole story in Chet's point of view!!

And Melanie, the pack should know that that kittie is just playing with them as best it can…from a safe zone!! We have a boxer who comes to visit from next door and she likes to play with us through the storm door!!

    Chet,

I know you're not a chicken but I say RUN! Pitchforks and guns aiming to hurt you. I see a visit to the vet in your future.

Melanie: One of those not very nice cats lives in this house. She'll casually stroll in sight of the Standard Poodles, Prince and Belle, inciting them to bark until their owner comes out to settle them down or Staff comes and chases them off. Funny thing is – those huge poodles could jump that fence in a pinch – they just don't.

Yesterday, Lonnie, Gord and I read up to Chapter 11 of Dog On It. Then Lonnie and I read some of Chet's blog and looked at all Chet's friends. A friend of Chet's is a friend of ours. We are especially touched by the ones that have passed. We plan to enjoy life to the fullest today in honor of you all.

Dawson – Did you see my picture? I'm a big Standard Poodle and my picture shows me chasing a fuzzbutt up a tree.

    I'm a big fierce dog.

I have to admit that Wookie and commander Rio seem to have perfected their plan to read parts of TFAT before publication. We bow down to your superb spying, er mind control, er whatever.

Now onto Hockey. I don't know who I want to win. My sister say's the Canadian Women won and that is what she really wanted to happen. She is undecided about who to cheer for in the final. Only 2 more hours until the start.

I guess I will just hope it is a superbly played game.

We are very fortunate to have a daily blog from our favorite author, Chet. It makes the wait between books much more bearable. I'll forget what Chet posted today by the time To Fetch a Thief comes out. lol

I am not allowed to go anywhere near cats. Mom says it is best if I don't even look at them from a distance. She does let me read their posts on Chet's blog, because she figures I can't get into too much trouble by just reading.

Mollypop: I do love Standard Poodles and have secretly admired your picture many times. I read your remark about the fuzzbutts to Lonnie and she really enjoyed it. Last week Prince somehow got out of the fenced yard and amazed me by running from one end of the block to the other in about 2 seconds. Amazing athletic ability.

Great leaper. I imagine you're the same.

Did anyone else notice how many Ryan's were on the US team? I looked it up just now and 5 Ryan Something's and one Something Ryan and one Brian which almost counts. WOW An all Ryan team.

~Zippy told me she was going to take some of the residents out to a big screen TV showing of the hockey game today. I thought it was going to be at a theatre. Hmmmmm. I wonder if Lonnie and Gord are as happy (and sleepy) as she is?

~Mollypop I don't know if Zippy remembers, as she is MUCH younger than I, but when we were children, many years ago, we lived next door to a standard bred poodle who was your exact color and he was the greatest dog. She was barely 6 when we moved from there so she might not even remember him.

I know that is why we both really like Standard bred poodles though.

AbbietheKitty Staff – Thank you for liking me. I am my favorite kind of dog. But my best friend in obedience class was Zeus, a yellow lab. The teacher had to separate us because we were so busy playing, so I decided I would no longer do the stupid sit stay stuff. Enough is enough I said. Mom had a talk with me afterward.
