The Nation Within (More)
“You tryna be funny?” said the dude. He made another motion with the shotgun, kind of like the way humans sometimes talk with their hands. Those little hand gestures of theirs, always so much fun, but imagine what they could do if they had tails.
No time for imaginings, because at that moment I was sidling away. Some perps are surprisingly unaware of the nation within, hardly seem to see us. This dude – had to be a perp, what with that shotgun – turned out to be one of those. So I kept sidling with no real plan in mind, and as I sidled I caught my first whiff of the mule. Wow.

Good morning Chet and everyone.
8:39 am on October 8th, 2011
Good Morning B! Good Morning Chet! Good Morning All!
8:40 am on October 8th, 2011
Hello B, Chet, everyone.
Our mom & pop are taking us on a roadtrip today. Someplace called Mudville. Hey, didn’t Admin go there? Maybe we can get a book signed…
8:55 am on October 8th, 2011
It would be save to take Sibers to Mudville, correct? They don’t like to get wet.
I’m going to walk the property with Zoë trying to figure out where to put the steps from the pool, then I’m off to the show!

Good morning, y’all! There’s a snow-covered Patsy on the top! We had computer problems yesterday — I hope it’s better today. Gotta go back and catch up. See y’all in a little bit!
9:46 am on October 8th, 2011
Good morning, all. What a glorious day!
Melanie, say hi to T & G’s mom for us and take some pictures if you can.
Barb is off to Lake Geneva to spend the day with daughter’s family. SIL birthday is today and they are going to take a ride around the lake on their boat. Last time for the season, and color should be at its peak (peek, pique).
Have a lovely day, everyone!
10:04 am on October 8th, 2011
Melanie, we Howlers love to play in mud and get as stinky, wet, muddy as we can.
10:05 am on October 8th, 2011
OK, I’m caught up! With all the car talk yesterday, I’ve gotta tell you about Dad’s Jeep — it’s from 1985! Mom was at work when Dad and my boy (my girl wasn’t born yet!) visited and dragged her outside. Dad was test-driving the Jeep, and promised that if he could get it he would “drive it into the ground.” Despite Mom deciding it was dangerous for Dad to have a day off when she was at work, she agreed to let him buy the Jeep. And he’s keeping his promise to drive it into the ground. Luckily, Mom and Dad lived on post a lot and Dad’s commute was short, so it has relatively low mileage for a 26-year-old car. But it still can make the three-hour trip to my girl’s school hauling a trailer full of her stuff!
10:13 am on October 8th, 2011
Some odd accidents have happened in this area. In the past 22 days, there have been 12 car crashes through store fronts. Cars pull into a parking place and then don’t stop, or even accelerate. In one, where a family was eating at a table, the mother and father were killed. Fortunately no one was hurt in the other accidents. Is this happening in other places? Is there something in our drinking water?
10:32 am on October 8th, 2011
Mollypop: It sounds as though your city needs to put curb stops in front of each parking space.
10:42 am on October 8th, 2011
Good Morning Chet and All!
It’s the Royals’ mum’s big weekend! Melanie will be reporting back for us and taking lots of pictures
AJ should be home. I’m they are sleeping in (well, maybe after chow-time for 40+)
MollyPop: Those accidents are very unusual for this time of year. The roads not icy. Does anyone have any ideas?
10:42 am on October 8th, 2011
B. – That’s what they’re talking about doing. Is that what’s done in your area?
10:45 am on October 8th, 2011
Bear – No one knows why this is happening all of a sudden. Twelve days out of 22 is every other day. Some are old people like my Mom who hit the gas instead of the brake, but there are younger people crashing through also.
11:24 am on October 8th, 2011
Oh, no! We see the population of Mudville is increasing. Some of our very good friends have gone there of late. Rose and the Howlers and Mollypop too. Now adding Siber-H and Rio to the list.
Other than the sad news about the favorite teams it looks like a beautiful, although cool, autumn day here in the Pacific NW. I am off to enjoy the sunshine and falling leaves.
Have a good day everyone!
11:27 am on October 8th, 2011
Perps aren’t the only people that are sometimes unaware that a member of the Nation Within a Nation is standing close to them. The general public can be the same way. Me, I think they are just pretending that we aren’t there in the hopes we will go away. It’s their loss.
Mollypop, You do have some unusual happenings in your area. Everything is normal here…shootings, stabbings, car crashes…just the usual stuff.
11:27 am on October 8th, 2011
Yippee!
I’m going up in the air in a 4 seater airplane. My BIL bought a cute little airplane (scary!) and yesterday he asked if I wanted to go for a fly. I hesitated because one month ago he told me he wasn’t ready to fly solo although legally he was allowed. Then he told me that an experienced pilot would be doing the actual flying, so I’m taking my life in my hands and going for it. Skies are blue as far as the eyes can see. Yeeehaaa! Now where did I put that air sickness bag…
11:37 am on October 8th, 2011
Good Morning All!
Beautiful fall day here in Westchester!
Rebecca: Yippee, AJ is home! Bet there was lots of snuggling going on!
Melanie: We need the 411 on the new car, and pics of the Royal Mum’s show!
Tyb: Susie was up on top this morning. She does resemble you quite a bit. Any word on if she is a long, lost relative?
Masquers, my friend: Didn’t you go on an adventure? Do tell!
Howlers, Mollypop, SiberH, and Rio: Waiting for you guys at Mudville. could you bring the Hebrew Nationals, and the wings?
11:37 am on October 8th, 2011
Mollypop: In the central parking area in town they have curb stops in all of the parking spaces that come up to stores and the driveway around the parking area. I’m trying to remember if they have them in front of all the parking spaces and….even though I’ve parked there all my life….I can’t remember. Will look next time.
11:38 am on October 8th, 2011
Wait for me, Dawson! That is going to be fun!
Mudville…bah humbug…I’m not discussing baseball till later in the day.
What isn’t normal here is that we got 2.4 inches of rain in the past few days. The sun is shining now and there is snow on the mountains! A low of 38 degrees last night and my folks haven’t turned on the furnace yet. I’m loving it!
11:42 am on October 8th, 2011
Welcome home AJ!!!
Rose has the right idea…since we are depressed, we can eat.
11:44 am on October 8th, 2011
Mollypop: I hope your mom is okay.
Flying…..I would only go in an airplane when absolutely necessary. There are much better methods of travel…walking for instance.
11:45 am on October 8th, 2011
Yippee! Mom and dad are watching Roscoe this weekend. His mom is gone for the weekend, and we have lots of fun together. He is a good leaper also, just like Chet!
Welcome home, AJ!
Good Luck to the Royals mom and dad!

Mr.Staff says “Tell Dawson the ex-Cub factor is looking good for Detroit. The numbers are Milwaukee – 4, St Louis – 3, Texas – 2, and Detroit – none”
http://www.baseballrealitytour.com/2011/09/2011-ex-cub-factor.html#more
(There is a theory out there that the more ex-Cubs you have on your team the worse you will play in the post season.)
1:18 pm on October 8th, 2011
Hebrew Nationals! This Mudville place is going to be fun! Why is Mom so depressed?
Its 73 degrees with the bluest sky you’ve ever seen outside Seattle.
Welcome home, A.J. the giant. Rebecca, let him breathe!
We’re super-excited to hear about the Royal Mum’s show.
1:24 pm on October 8th, 2011
Heh, Staff! The ex-cub factor. That is an interesting theory.
Rose: Sounds like a party is in progress. You guys have the right idea. You all can drown your sorrows in food and grog. My adventure yesterday was a short trip to the coast. Even though it was a somewhat drizzly day a good time was had by all. We took the day off to check out the antique shops and artist offerings on the waterfront.
Speaking of which – wish we were there to see the Royals’ mum and pop’s wonderful artistic creations this weekend.
1:45 pm on October 8th, 2011
Drizzling!….Gah! Its cold, raining and yucky out today….sniff!…She says it’s the perfect day to go downstairs and make stuff for the MMCS….heh!…So that’s what is happening. I am watching tv and laying on her favorite Easy Boy chair while she works away at her crafiness…snorkel!…Support Your Local Gunfighter is on. I love that old comedy…chorkel!
1:54 pm on October 8th, 2011
I know y’all are concerned about baseball, but around here it’s football season! Mom and Dad are getting ready to go to their Iowa Club party — Iowa vs. Penn State. Go Hawks!!!

P.S. Macy: Have you seen the latest Sporting News? The cover story is about Dallas/Fort Worth sports!
2:16 pm on October 8th, 2011
Rio, maybe your friend could make a quill project of a cat or dog with a Christmas theme to sell at the Musher store? Our Mom is a big Christmas holiday decorator and likes to use animal themes alot.
2:17 pm on October 8th, 2011
Here’s a leaf tunnel.

Dawson: Have a fun plane ride! BTW – Your book White Wings is now in the Pacific NW! A big thank you to the O.Howlers, Buddy&TC for forwarding it on to us. I can’t wait to begin reading it! Barb&Magpie, You are next on the list, right?
2:41 pm on October 8th, 2011
Dog, Dan named that book correctly! It’s winging it’s way around the continent!
JUST got back from the show. The Royals’ Mum’s work is among the best there and it’s a big show! It’s also different than anyone else’s so here’s hoping through the rest of the weekend people take notice and buy, buy, buy!
I’m up loading pictures from the camera now. Then I’ll make sure they are in good shape and then load them up. Took a lot of pictures so I might space them out during today and tomorrow.
2:58 pm on October 8th, 2011
Stover, Your first photo looks like a great place to take a walk. The second one has lots of water in it. Mom likes it. Bernie would like it.

The Paradise City Art Show!

3:08 pm on October 8th, 2011
My sister was with me. She walked into The Royals’ Mum’s booth, saw the following and started crying. It was perfect for her daughter’s and significant other’s first apartment together. She got Wisdom Basket for an apartment warming present.

3:10 pm on October 8th, 2011
This is so totally awesome. The RM said it was inspired by the desert and the hieroglyphs! Two pictures for this one!

3:11 pm on October 8th, 2011

SH: I think Bernie would like Michigan since we’re surrounded by water!
Melanie: Lovely!
3:12 pm on October 8th, 2011
Now I must rest. I really don’t know how the Royals’ Mum and Dad are going to keep going for two and 1/2 more days! And be nice to people!
Dawson: Hope you didn’t need the air sickness bag!
3:37 pm on October 8th, 2011
What channel is the Tiger game on tonight? Is this a play-off series and if so, how many games do they have to win to win the series?
3:39 pm on October 8th, 2011
Thank you Melanie! The art work is beautiful! We love the lizards…they are happy lizards.
Her art work would sure sell in Santa Fe.
3:49 pm on October 8th, 2011
B: The area in your photos looks perfect for a walk on a autumn day such as this.
Melanie: Those creations are amazing!!! I especially love the Wisdom Basket that your sister bought. Wish we could be there too!
Royals’ Mum & Pop – You are Wonderful!!!
3:49 pm on October 8th, 2011
Stover, It is on the Fox network. These games are for the American and National League Pennants and will determine which two teams play in the World Series.
It will be a best of seven series.
3:52 pm on October 8th, 2011
B: Your pictures are truly lovely! I’m sure Chet would love to take a cool drink from that creek.
Thanks for posting the photos, Melanie. The RM’s work is quite unique and beautiful. I agree with Siber-H, I love the lizards!
Dawson: hope your plane ride was fun, and that no barfing was involved.
3:53 pm on October 8th, 2011
BStover,
I know what you could make for the musher’s mercantile. You could make a set of photo cards. I know the one you sent me with the nasturtiums on it was beautiful.
4:06 pm on October 8th, 2011
Royals’ Mum: Curious what the tag on the Wisdom Basket says…
My Amazing Adventure continued: After the visiting the coast Mom and I continued our Journey together on a Beautiful Autumn Evening. We took a Road Less Traveled and saw Falling Leaves and Rain Drenched Trees. We felt the Great Appreciation of Life and Love we all have for one another.
4:22 pm on October 8th, 2011
The Royal Mom’s artwork is beautiful. Thans for posting, Melanie. Was there a god crowd at the show?
B, your pretty pictures remind us to get back outdoors now to enjou the restofthe day.
Bear, we are happy to hear White Wings has arrived, and we are hoping it is none the worse for its travel. Enjoy!
4:25 pm on October 8th, 2011
Thanks
And “good” crowd…not god crowd. Jeez. Can we blame it on the iPaw?
Now to “enjou” “restofthe”.
4:35 pm on October 8th, 2011
AJ is home and the doors are left unlocked. It is a good day in Willow. We arrived hom at 4 o’clock this morning and slept until the dogs told us it was breakfast time.
I love the picture showing the Royals’ mum working with her clay. If you enlarge the picture, you can read the tag on the Wisdom Keeper. The pieces are absolutely beautiful. Go Team Golinka!—Melanie, thanks for posting the pictures.
B Stover: Was it your grandfather who was the photographer?—He taught you well.
4:38 pm on October 8th, 2011
O.Howlers: The precious package arrived safely. You did a fine job of wrapping. When finished reading we will continue to treat it with the same special care as it continues on its way.
5:14 pm on October 8th, 2011
Oh my dog…that was an amazing plane ride! Luckily it was a calm sunny day. There was no turbulence whatsoever.
Bear Spirit Dog: Enjoy White Wings. Next in line to get it is Mollypop, Rio, then Barb and Maggie.
Melanie: Beautiful photographs of Amalia’s work. Breathtaking. Go Team Golinka!
B.Stover: Staff is right about making cards with your photos for the Musher’s Store.
5:24 pm on October 8th, 2011
Dawson: Glad you had a great time up in the wild blue yonder. Sounds exciting to be up in a small plane.
Masquers: Your trip yesterday to the coast sounded beautiful, relaxing, and tranquil. Wish I could have joined you.
5:30 pm on October 8th, 2011
Thanks guys. Rebecca: My grandfather (the photographer) died before I was born but my dad taught me about photography.
Yes, Staff. Good idea. I’ll try to get more cards made.
5:32 pm on October 8th, 2011
Hmmm, I have no idea if they were a god bunch. They looked sort of normal . . .
It was very crowded. Today was the go and look day for people and then they come back Sunday or Monday and buy. Weird.
I am considering doing some cards and envelopes for the store. Have to get permission for OTAS for one of his pictures.
I thought I could put on it . . . Happy Howladays
I thought of two other things that got shot down by Zoë. One she said I’d have to clean up and pay the vet bill. And the other she said if you’re planning on doing that for me for Christmas, forget it.
5:44 pm on October 8th, 2011
Dawson: I just realized – it’s your Thanksgiving weekend in Canada. Have a Good One!
6:07 pm on October 8th, 2011
Golinka!…. That Stinky Mama is so very talented….wow!… Amazingly beautiful stuff….sniff!… My friend has been working on her stuff and it all seems so childish compared to what Golinka does….snort!
Supper!….So her mother asks my friend to make something for supper tonight and so my friend happy to finally get in the kitchen put together her spicy meatloaf…sniff!…Well, her mother got in a snit about how much she made and then again about using the Timer on the stove…grunt!….”You don’t need to use the timer, just put the potatoes in at 4:30!!”….wheeze!….My friend has a knack of losing track of time, that’s why she always uses the timer…wuffle!…So after much ado about nothing both of them are mad right now….huffle!….I think my friend should just give up completely trying to cook anything. It always ends in an argument and her mother always starts it…grump!
6:08 pm on October 8th, 2011
Timer!…Oh and the timer is OFF and we have to watch the damned clock now….grump!snuffle!
6:32 pm on October 8th, 2011
BearSpiritDog: Yes! We will be having our big turkey supper tomorrow. We have a 14 kg. turkey for 11 of us. Should be enough. I am going to try making B.Stover’s cathartic pie crusts. I have frozen ones for back up just in case.
6:36 pm on October 8th, 2011
Thanksgiving!….oooooer!….I love love love Thanksgiving!…snort!…. Guess who will NOT be helping in the kitchen one bit?…heh!heh!…We watched the stupid clock and then we went up to put the potatoes in the oven and her mother said she had already done it…grunt!…My friend says she can do the rest of it too. Including the dishes…heh!,,,wooooo!
7:03 pm on October 8th, 2011
A THIRTY POUND TURKEY? Wow!
Of course, I might have done the math wrong.
What on earth do you cook it in?
7:07 pm on October 8th, 2011
Turkey!….How in the world does a 30 pound turkey even walk around??….wuffle!
7:18 pm on October 8th, 2011
Dawson: Excellent! I really enjoy making pie crust; I hope you will also.
7:20 pm on October 8th, 2011
I Know!!!
I asked her how she lifted it into the cart! It does not fit in the roaster pan…don’t ask me how she is going to do it. I’m in charge of the pumpkin pies and pecan tarts so it is not my problem.
7:20 pm on October 8th, 2011
Mom has been making pot holders for the Christmas sale. And pomegrante jelly. Have we set the final dates yet?
7:22 pm on October 8th, 2011
Well, that isn’t exactly right. She is making potholders and is Going to make some jelly. She has to get down to the Farmers Market to buy the pomegranate juice before she can make the jelly.
7:23 pm on October 8th, 2011
B.Stover: Actually, right now my heart is beating fast and I am a little stressed. I have never made a decent pie crust in my life. So…I just dot the shortening on the side of the bowl and mix with fingers? Breathe…breathe…I can do this.
7:30 pm on October 8th, 2011
Dawson: Yes use your fingers to gently mix shortening into the flour. Then add the water one tablespoon at a time and mix with fork. When it easily combines into a ball it’s ready. Then mush a bit in your hands, put flour on both sides and on rolling pin and then roll out.You can do it!
7:38 pm on October 8th, 2011
That turkey cannot be 30 pounds. We would nlt be able to take down something so big.
7:45 pm on October 8th, 2011
Wolfie: Your mom’s pomegranate jelly sounds delicious.
Dawson: Good luck with the pie crusts. Will this Bayou Classic Outdoor Fryer work for the turkey?

7:54 pm on October 8th, 2011

Supper!… So as we were climbing the stairs to finish making supper we heard her mother say, “ It’s all dried out!!”…..grump!….Well my friend was not happy hearing this but she continued up and put supper on the table. It was wonderful. The meatloaf was perfect and NOT dried out. Everything tasted great! I know because I got some of it…heh!…But my friend has made up her mind, no more cooking EVER….grump!
8:33 pm on October 8th, 2011
Beautiful photos, everyone. Thank you for sharing!
8:37 pm on October 8th, 2011
BearSpiritDog: I wouldn’t want to be the one lifting the turkey into that pot.
We live in wonderful places. Beautiful scenery today.
Detroit versus Texas is on.
Go Team Golinka! Anticipating more photos from Melanie tomorrow.

Wonderful photos from everyone today. Thank you.
9:01 pm on October 8th, 2011
Hi everyone,
First and foremost – MAma wants to thank everyone of you who has sent good wishes and positive thoughts.
Mama is finally home from her big show (for the night). She has been working so hard for months and months getting ready, and then they took two days to set everything up JUST SO, and decorated their booth with artificial autumn leaves and pumpkins and battery candles.
The show opened at 10 am. Melanie and her sister came pretty early, and Sis purchased a Wisdom Keeper basket.
And that was the one and only sale that Mama made all day.
Mama is what one might call slightly panic stricken, and kind of depressed.
She says that if there was a village called “I’ll Be Back”, she met enough of its citizens today to be sure it is a HUGE city.
If everyone who said they were coming back to buy actually does, MAma will be a rich woman. But she isn’t counting on it.
Well, there is one good side – she will be able to donate something special to the Merchantile…..
9:06 pm on October 8th, 2011
Team Golinka: Don’t lose hope. It is the first day of the show. I’m sure citizens of Ilbeback will go home tonight and think about the beautiful peices at your booth and will soon find themselves the new citizens of a Takealookatwhatigot. We are sending positive thoughts your way!
9:10 pm on October 8th, 2011
Golinka!….I’m sure they meant they will be back tomorrow…snort!…Your show goes another day, right?….snort!… Your items are so wonderful, I can’t image you won’t have sales tomorrow…sniff!….That is a big show and everyone wants to look at everthing before they purchase your stuff…heh!…I bet tomorrow will be a better day. Keep your golinka chin up!…wooooo!
9:13 pm on October 8th, 2011
RAIN!…NO freakin’ way!…heh!…This game is in Texas, isn’t it?…wuffle!
9:16 pm on October 8th, 2011
But…but…but, T&G: I thought today was just for looking and tomorrow was for buying. Don’t be giving it away yet.
Snowhook Bella: Those puppies are sooooo cute. Candy for the heart.
Rio: I’ve got to do some thinking. I leave for the States on the 28th of October and return on the 7th of December. If I can manage pictures before I leave, do I then carry my items with me assuming they will sell? Or leave them in Canada to send when I return? Pondering…
9:17 pm on October 8th, 2011
Rebecca – Thanks for the laugh – we needed that
Rio – thanks for the support – we needed that too!
The show does indeed go all day tomorrow and until 4 on Monday.
Mama has promised that she won’t panic until at least 3:30 on Monday. She knows she has lots of support and good wishes behind her, and she says she will stay positive. Tomorrow is another day.
9:17 pm on October 8th, 2011
Sprinkles!…I think it is just sprinkling, but Texans haven’t seen rain in so long that it feels like a downpour…heh!…I can’t even see it on the tv, but the announcers are talking rain…wuffle!
9:19 pm on October 8th, 2011
T&G: My vote is 3:45 on Monday.
9:25 pm on October 8th, 2011
Dawson!…Are you proposing to hand deliver your Items (if they sell) to the buyers?….heh!…Otherwise, you might want to leave them at your sisters house for her to deliver for you…snort!…Because this is A Christmas Store, people will expect to get their items in time to give as gifts…sniff!
9:40 pm on October 8th, 2011
Rebecca – Mama says she will try really hard to not panic until 3:45, but she may just need to start hyperventilating at 3:30 or so. After all, there ain’t no cheesecake at art shows….
Ok, now that she has vented and whined, Mama says she is done for the day and she’s going to bed. Guess that means we have to go to – we think tonight is going to be a “cuddle on the big bed” night.
Dawson – sounds like a great trip. Do you ever have trouble with customs crossing the borders?
Rio – we wish we were there for your spicy meatloaf – sounds delish.
Melanie – when you see this in the morning THANK YOU – for pics and for everything else. Sure hope you like peppers.
Good night everyone – gotta get enough sleep to deal with the huge crowds of people who will be throwing money our way tomorrow.
10:03 pm on October 8th, 2011
Cooking!…. Golinka, my friend says she would love to cook for you – or anyone for that matter….sniff!…Since we moved here she does not seem welcome in the kitchen and she really loves to cook…sneeze!…You can take it from me, she makes some really good stuff, but her mother cannot let loose of any control regarding meals…wuffle!…So if anyone wants to have my friend come stay with them and cook for them for a week, please let me know and I will try and arrange it…heh! …All we need is a private room with a good double bed because she says I take up quite a bit of room and also a place for all my toys…snorkel!

Rain!….Delay in Texas….snort!…Unbelievable. The game is supposed to start again in about 15 minutes…heh!….Seems the Tigers have to battle Mother Nature and the other teams for the title this year…snort!

Rio: What’s on the menu the first week in March? 😉

Rose,
I’ve had a long day helping some friends at a Fall Festival where I used to work and have just read the question you asked at 11:37 this morning. Sorry it’s taken me until 10:11 PM to get an answer to you. I have tried to make contact with Susie, but have had no success. From her looks, it certainly is possible that we are related.

Rebeccer!….Just let me know what Giants like to eat and we can figure out something…heh!….If you guys want my friend to cook for you while we are there she definitely will give it a go, although, she will be way out of practice by then….wuffle!…I’m thinking a nice beef roast with potatoes, rice and carrots. Baked Port Chops with scalloped potatoes and a salad…sniff!…Spicey Meatloaf is a must have!…heh!… Tacos, hamburgers, burritos w/ pork green chili…Kick-ass Nachos! Hot Wings!…snort!…You name it she can probably make it…wuffle!…Just don’t name Bear or Moose or Deer or Wild Boar. She can’t cook those guys…sniff!

Rio: The smiley face I added to my earlier comment is missing. Your friend doesn’t have to earn her keep while she is here (it is a vacation after all), but you had me at wuffle. 🙂

Dear Rio,
I know how it is when your parent will not give up the kitchen. For years I would ask Mom if she wanted help in the kitchen. She would always say no. Then when she got blind she would still say no, but by then I figured out if I didn’t ask her it would be OK for me to cook.
However she never came in to tell me what to do after that. I think it helped that she couldn’t see.
Now Mr.Staff will not cook for my parents although he does cook. He says Dad is too fussy and the stuff Mr.Staff makes is never good enough. (Yes Dad is that way).
I just say I am sorry and go on cooking. He doesn’t have much choice and he thinks he is still in control which is what it is all about.
I don’t know what I would do it my Mom was as bossy as yours. Probably stop cooking! LOL

Hey Rio: How about if I push 2 single beds together, will that work? It would easily be worth putting up with your wuffling and worse just to get a lesson in making your friend’s grandma’s case noodles.

The Detroit/Texas game is still in rain delay. It has been longer than 15 minutes. Shall I go downstairs to watch TV soon? The gameday doesn’t seem to be starting yet?
Rio?

I am pretty sure AJ’s meals will be eaten on the road, but it sounds like he will be missing a feast. Don’t forget Rebecca’s cheesecake, though. It is traditional.
Mom is home from her trip and she is one tired puppy. Nobody else would drive, so it was all her. She might not have survived if not for the super outlet mall, the bakery AND the kolache shop.
Gab, on the news just now they featured one of the new foods at the state fair, the bananarito. Flour tortilla wrapped around a banana, deep fried, then add cinnamon, sugar, honey and whipped cream. It almost gave us heart attack just hearing about it.
RAIN DELAY? It doesn’t rain for like ten years and then…. Oh well we need the rain.

Alone!….I bet we are all alone to see the Tigers and Rangers game start again…snort!… Bases will be loaded but I forget all the other details right now…heh!…We’ve been watching The Biggest Loser while waiting for this thing to start again…snuffle!
MIA!… A photo of Molly The Black Poodle was up on top of the page and I started wondering what happened to her…snort!…Its been ages and ages since she’s posted anything out here. I hope she is okay. I know she is a big baseball fan…wuffle!

Say WHAT?
12:20 am on October 9th, 2011
that is the advertisement at the top of the game day page showing the Texas Stadium. I figure it is some sort of local soft drink?

It is just not the same playing Detroit without Julio Borbon. When Coke pitched it was Borbon and Coke! (which mom says sounds pretty good right now)

What is the Gameday page?
12:45 am on October 9th, 2011
Gameday is a way of following the game when you aren’t watching TV. I go to the rangers or tigers website and clik on Gameday and you can see the pitches, runs etc. They also sometimes show video’s. They supposedly are showing a picture of the ballpark against which all the action takes place.
Here is a link to the gameday page I see with the Kula Kola sign in the center top of the stadium picture.
