Our Lady just boarded the plane headed for the far, far north. She may have limited access to the Internet the next few days, but she wants youse all to know she is thinking of you. On top of her travels, she is building the auction house. She has only stopped to let Belle Starr sparklize her hammer.
Wose: We must get our paws on Leftytwo. Belle Starr is in charge of glitter, Pancho is in charge of disguises, Lefty is in charge of snacks and quality assurance and you’re in charge of details. Our Lady usually covers master planning, but while this has to happen without her knowing that minor element needs tending. Are you up, up, up for the challenge?

That is a totally interesting video. In the video there is a very quick photo of Manfred von Richtofen (The Red Baron) with his Great Dane mix. Before his dog got too big, he took the dog for rides in his airplane.
I was just reading on the internet one of those lists… “ten dogs breeds that freak out the insurance companies.”
Newfs aren’t on it but Sibers are because of our prey drive around small animals in and out of the house. Duh? Since when did people start insuring skunks and rabbits.

Thanks, T & G. We said Monday that it was the 50th anniversary of MLK’s speech. Wondered why there wasn’t more on the news about it. Maybe because today is the day, not Monday!
Barb emailed a video of Fred leading me around by the leash. First we played and I tried to herd him. Then he grabbed my leash when I was getting ready to leave. If it is good maybe Melanie will put up a link. We can’t watch it because we need to download some program. Does anyone know what it is? You told us once before, but we didn’t do it. We just see a green screen when we download it.

Barb is not happy. Spent the entire morning trying to install whatever she needs to watch the videos that get posted. We have Quicktime and Flash Player now and still can’t view here or on our emails. Plus all these things keep popping up asking us to install more. What the heck did we do wrong? Still get a green screen when we download videos, unless it is something on UTube.

Barb & Maggie: sometimes if you just google the problem as a question, you get really good links to answers or advice on tech issues. On my computer, when I can’t open a video that needs QuickTime, I’ll get a tab on the upper right of the screen that says, “run one time.” That is what I use when I want to see a video someone has posted. I would probably start by googling how to get rid of QuickTime and Flash Player and then start over. Isn’t one for Mac and one for PC?

Hey, Guys!
We just got back from Hike #6 in 6 days, followed by lunch at a restaurant in Asheville. Asheville is the most dog-friendly town in this country! Just about every restaurant is dog-friendly, at least on their patios or courtyards. And every shop or restaurant or bar has bowls of our favorite drink outside for us us us!
Melanie, friends from home say it has been raining kittens and puppies, but we haven’t heard about flooding.
Mom says we are leaving this paradise tomorrow. 🙁

Siber, Barkwells is only 2,096 ft., but most of the hikes we did were from 5000 to 5200 ft. That is a big difference from where we live which is a mere 370 ft. Mom is giving me all of these numbers. They sound like mumbo jumbo to me. All I know is hiking around here took a LOT of effort!

We spent all day at the VA today for more eye appointments for Dad. Tomorrow we have no appointments. Hooray for that.
Stagg: It is not as hot as it has been – only 88 right now. The air is heavy with humidity. I hope it rains Newfies and Bengals. We are parched.
BearSpiritDog: Oh yah, stamps! I located that picture you sent me of the Dawson Dog that Staff quilted for me but I have no idea how to make it into a stamp. Maybe when Staff is here over the weekend we can go to the local stamp store and find something. Stickers are also an option for the time being or I could always use my pinkie or my thumb or perhaps my big toe or my nose.

I love Mexican food. Barb and Maggie keep mentioning Taco Bell and we passed one on the way home from our appointment yesterday. The closest I have come to Mex. food lately is the homemade hummus that I put too much cumin in. Delish. I want some chile rellenos.

Dima, That is a high elevation for the northeast. Hiking does take a whole lot of effort if you are not used to the altitude.
Rio and I live at a higher elevation…by about 900 feet higher for me. It takes forever to cook pasta at this altitude.
Dawson, I wish I could send you some chili rellenos. They are delish.

SiberH — you are making my mouth water, as chili rellanos are my absolute favorite and hard to get good ones back East. Same is true for sopapillas. Although you will smile at this, we do have a bunch of Anitas in the area, which actually bills itself as serving New Mexico style Mexican food.

“Re-boot” and “boots” snicker
The storms are over for a few whiles. We lost electricity once. Just for a second, but my iPaw was pluged in to charge. That charger wasn’t on a surge protector. Luckily, my iPaw is fine, but the wire out of the charger has been blown. I hope it’s just the wire. The connector to the wall plug is expensive.
After that . . We lost the dish for the TV for about an hour. Needless to say the computer has been off all night.
To top it off, the Connection for the TV came back on just in time for me to watch something I REALLY WANTED TO WATCH! The second it was over?

Well they are just now really feeling the exhaustion from the Really Long Shew, and decided they had better stay home and pet their Corgis this weekend instead. Besides which – the Great Snowhook Auction is on this weekend and she has her eye on a prize.

My Two-Legged has had a very long day that started at 3:00 a.m. I have sufficiently bedazzled her hammer so she can get back to work on building the auction house. I’m not sure how she is going to do it, but I suspect it involves my Four-legged blurring my Two-legged. I hope the latter follows the former’s rules.
Wose: I would like to report a crime. A certain Pixie has stolen all my sparkles. I’m sure of it. One minute my sparkle inventory was fully stocked and now, nothing. Speaking of a certain someone, she found out on Monday that she is one inch closer to pixie status and one inch further away from gaint status. Her employer had a health fair on Monday and she was measured. She has been 6’5.5″ since she was ten years old, but the clinician said my Two-legged measured at 5’5.5″ If my math is correct, and I have no reason to believe it is not, when you cut your hair, you lose height.

Melanie: Neither are the Bid-O-Matic 3000—it has a lot more rust and missing parts. The first picture is what AC uses to order hot wings and the second is what is used to order beer. It also decodes SDDs, but only on Tuesdays between 4 and 6 p.m.
