The Great Outdoors

I hope in this trying time that you’re managing to get outdoors a lot. Have you ever noticed that much of the Chet and Bernie series takes place outdoors? Here’s a little bit from Of Mutts and Men, the next Chat and Bernie novel. (And don’t forget the special preorder offer!)

We went over to the car, had a nice drink of water, Bernie from a bottle, me from my portable water bowl. It was the hot time of year, when water always tastes best. Bernie held his water bottle in the sun, gave it a close look, as though hoping to see something. All I saw was water, but so clear in the bright light that it was almost like seeing water for the very first time. The next moment, I understood water completely. The moment after that, I didn’t understand it at all. I felt a bit dizzy.

Good morning everyone. Teddy has a special present for Ms. Wose. It is the first rose of the season here in Chevy Chase.

Rio: a bath especially with a professional groomer will work wonders for any hair even thinking of shedding.

Cloudy day and I have a personal black cloud over my head. I have been dealing with computer problems for 3 weeks. The original problem was fixed after a week but when I attended cyber meetings the following week, the video worked but I had no internal microphone–so I couldn’t make any comments. Since I am on the board as a secretary to two non-profits, this was a problem. So back to the store because obviously they had forgot to reconnect the microphone when they installed a new logic board. It was two days before I picked up the computer again. Imagine my surprise at my next cyber meeting when I had audio but no video. I didn’t mind not being on camera but I am to host a cyber meeting of my book club tomorrow and I needed both audio and video working. So back to the store for the THIRD time. .
Unfortunately I have a big monitor so it is a pain but put back in the box and get it to the repair shop. I don’t know whether to let in go or give them a bad review. Technology is so frustrating when it is not working right.

    Hello dear Plunderers
I don’t post too much anymore but I do check in fairly often. We are staying home but since we live on a farm we can go outside and play if we wish.
We have planted potatoes and onion sets so far. Nothing is up yet. I blame the snow we had on the 9th.
Hope you are all staying safe and healthy too.
    Hugs from North Dakota
