Good morning all! Calm before the storm here. Afternoon may bring heavy storms, high winds, dangerous conditions for tornados. Looks like the worst will be south of here. Going out this morning to mail Melanie’s book and do some errands before things start.
Jessica had the idea of starting a dog walking business 3-4 yrs ago. Never went anywhere. You have to have the right market area-high density population, high wage earners, etc. Lots of potential problems if you are walking a multiple dog pack, like they show in big cities. They don’t always get along, and then what? What if a dog gets loose? Lots of possible nightmares!

Good Saturday morning, all!! Big doings here today too. Friends’ son is graduating from LSU next month and they asked if they could host a big crawfish boil/party here in his honor. (their yard is much smaller) We said “SURE” and Mom and Dad have spent a couple of weeks getting everything all spruced up. The kitchen remodel is finished (and we LOVE it). Now we find out that we (all the cats) will be closed off in the master bedroom/bath) for the duration!! Not fair!!!! Bet if we were dogs, we’d be welcome…stupid dogs can’t jump onto counters!

It doesn’t surprise me that there is now a franchise for dog walking. There are franchises for pet setting. Mom won’t let anyone but but her and Molly’s mom walk me because I am one of those Sibers that will try to pull backwards out of my collar when I see a rabbit, kat, or horse.
Bear, you can track #1 son. We have just found a new hobby on the blog…tracking loved ones on airplanes. I miss those little green flags so much I might just start tracking airplanes in general.

Melanie, we mailed the book to you today. Had it in an envelope, but then the postal lady said it might get really beat up, so we bought another padded envelope and put env.#1 into evl#2. Now it should be fine. Guess she doesn’t think much of the postal service, and she works there!
We still haven’t heard any Dawson stories about how she meat her dh (that is dear husband, for Bee’s benefit).

Hey, y’all! I’ll be happy to join y’all for the you-know-what for you-know-who at you-know-where! Those Girls are here this weekend, so I’ll be glad to get out of this house! Possum took off the minute they arrived, and Bubbie hid under the antique radio we use for a TV stand. Everytime Those Girls went over to investigate the kat smell, she would growl and hiss at them. They couldn’t get to her, so she was safe. Today she’s hiding in the laundry room, and Mom still can’t find Possum!
My girl’s birthday was last month, so they had a belated birthday party for her today. It was Mom and Dad and my girl and her boyfriend and my boy and his girlfriend. Instead of eating at home, though, they walked across the street and had a cookout at the park. That sounds nice and all, but THEY DIDN’T TAKE ME!!! They left me at home with Those Girls, so I didn’t get to have any fun — or any food, either! And now my boy and his girlfriend went home, and my girl and her boyfriend are at a wedding, and Dad went to bed (because he didn’t have a cold all winter, and now that everyone was here today, he’s got a bad one!), and Mom is just chilling out.
That just leaves Those Girls, so GET ME OUT OF HERE!!!

YSAS story! When he first comes on stage in the play, his head is covered with a pillow case. He is supposed to hit his head and then spit stage blood out so that it comes through the case and gets on his face.
During dress rehearsal people said he didn’t use enough blood. So on opening night he used a LOT of blood! He used so much that when he spat it out, he choked on it and it splattered everywhere and when he took off the case, he couldn’t SEE anything.
His first words are “You’re still alive?” to the guy who is dressed like a folk singer.
Except he can’t see and he’s still choking! He wipes off his face manages to squint and then says his lines. The audience loved it.

Alice is in trouble. She didn’t get home until 5:30 this morning and she was covered in short black fur and rather tipsy. She had a distinct smell of fruit punch and pinky sticky stuff was in her fur. She is snoring on the window shelf now with all 4 feet in the air.
She says she has a new “beau” and that he is a whiz with locks and she will be forever grateful to him. How grateful is what I want to know. Does anyone have any details for me? I never did get to the party because of some, now suspicious, circumstances.
