Dear Family,
This morning, on the other side of the Bridge, there is a little Brittany Spaniel wiggling with joy at seeing her best friend again. Passage over the Bridge was peaceful, and everyone on this side had a chance to wave goodbye.
Thank you all for your good wishes and kind concern.
He is at peace now, which allows our hearts peace as well.

The storm has gone down into ski country and now the digging out begins. There were two more deaths yesterday when a nursing home had to be evacuated because the ceiling was caving in. The report this morning is that 30 major buildings have had the roofs collapse and over 60 smaller buildings. This is now the problem everyone has to deal with.
Sammie’s mom and dad met friends downtown for dinner and they reported that everything is pretty empty down there. There are so many driving bans that you can’t get in or out of the city. For those of us who have no snow it is limited where we can go.

Tupper’s Mama: A soft breeze was felt as he passed over the Bridge. There had been a brief stop to Say a Heartfelt Thank You to his Family, and an affectionate Goodbye to Rat, the newly christened Cubbins. Now he was ready for New Adventures with his beloved Spaniel.

We are glad your brother is finally at peace. Hugs to you, Leonard and Gramps.
This house is quiet so far. No hissing or howling. Yes the little kitties are still in their night time room. They will soon be out though. Last night while we were playing cards the little ones discovered Dad. Dad had a heating pad on his lap. Sleeping ensued. Henry loves heating pads. Dad seemned quite happy to have a kitten in his lap (thank Dog)

Guys, if you get a chance, check out Basset Buddies Rescue of TX at http://www.bbrtx.org. There is a dog named Jeter that mom put in an app for. She was really wanting an older dog, but he was the only one that said “good with cats”. That is Very important at my house. She was also interested in Bertha (awful name for a dog) but it didn’t say she was good with cats.

Jeter is very cute. We here love our Basset mix, although I am not sure she would be good with cats. She does not like the one that strolls thru the neighbor’s yard taunting her and Maggie. It might be different if one was in the house. I think you will like the Basset personality. They are loving and comical, although Lucy’s foster home had one that they said turned in to Cujo when there was food involved. Probably not a major concern for you, since you don’t have other dogs or small children in the household. And you can probably work to make it better.

Mom and Dad had a basset for years when they first got married. He was an outside dog and Mom wants one that is inside this time. She has always loved bassets! She is very interested in either lab or golden retrievers (mix would be fine) but thinks she isn’t active enough to give them the exercise they deserve. Bassets are more easy going and laid back.

Cubbins is indeed a final gift from Brother. He is laughing at his joke, but he is very grateful that Cubbins will be in a good home.
BooBear, we love the look of Jeter! We just know he is exactly what you need, as you are exactly what he needs. In the beginning, be careful to guard when he is eating, in case one of the cats gets near by. But then, we know that you already know that.
We are laughing at the “Recent arrivals section”. It actually could have meant either/and/or.

Crate!…So did ole Kubbins ever get released from that tiny kat-krate?..sniff!….You should see the crate that was dumped off with Beau and all his other designer crap…grunt!…His crate is 3 times that size…wheeze!…Although, I cannot recall seeing it in a very long time…heh!

Cubbins is currently the proud possessor of Gramp’s office. He has his crate, litter box, food bowls and water bowl in there, plus Gramp’s desk for mountain climbing, and various and assorted junk….ummm, kitty toys to amuse himself with. A few times a day, Mama brings him out to the dining room in his crate so everyone can get acquainted at their own speed.
CubKat and Sage seems to be hitting it off fine. Callie is kind of interested in him, but he growls whenever Callie comes too near. Funny, since she is probably the gentlest one here. But she is also the biggest – especially to a teeny, baby kat.
But they are all getting adjusted.

Dog adoption update. Mom got a response from the basset rescue and she just got off the phone with a rep from the group. She says that Jeter would not be a good fit. He is showing an aggressive side at his foster home and she thinks he would not be mellow with the cats. She is recommending Howie (she says his picture does not do him justice) or maybe Bertha (she needs to check and see if Bertha is cat compatible). We will be contacted by another volunteer who will come and check out the home to see if we would be suitable. Mom is getting cold feet. She is afraid we will freak the poor dog out!

Stover!…And Bear!…snort!…If youse guys are watching Gilmore Girls you will have by now realized that One of the young actors who is all grown-up now is on the strange “How To Get Away With Murder” series (which is extended to January…grump!)…Also, in the future of the Gilmore Girls you will notice a young actor all grown up and playing center field in “A Good Wife”…heh!…The actress playing Rory is all grown up and was on Mad Men one season and promptly fell in love with the actor playing Pete. They were married very soon after that…snorkel!…Those two were meant to be in my opinion..snuffle!

More!…Melissa McCarthy known as Sookie on Gilmore Girls has gone onto big fame and glory as a comedic actress…snort!….My friend and I have vowed never to watch her in any other role except Sookie St. James in Gilmore Girls. Because her sweet, quirky portrayal of the Inn’s Chef is so amazing, we do not want to ever see her as anything else. All those other roles seem demeaning (just a guess as we have never seen them)….grunt!

We want to say a final thank you to everyone on this here blog. It has been a tough two months, and today was hard, even though we knew it was inevitable.
At moments when I thought I just couldn’t handle one more phone call or task, I would jump on the blog, and there you all were.

Parenthood is off till January I think, and then there are just 4 more shows left in the series. They will wrap everything up since that is the definite end. Lauren Grahams and the cute guy that plays her brother Adam, were an item, maybe still are.
Melissa McCarthy is a great comedian, but I think there is too much vulgarity in some of her movies, so you probably made a good decision not to see them. Some swearing is ok, but she is a real trash mouth in a couple of them, and just plain crude.
Ben and I survived Dumb and Dumber To, but it was a terrible movie. I only went because he wanted to see it. He probably should not have gone at his age. He at least had the good taste to give it a 1 or a 2 rating afterwards. Smart boy.
We are heading to bed. Nighty noodles everyone.

Melissa!…I so wish she had taken the Lauren Graham route to fame…snuffle!…She is so talented and I so want to remember her as sweet Sookie. I absolutely loved her as Sookie. I always chuckle when I remember hearing Emily Gilmore ask, “What’s a Sookie?”…snort!
