Thanks, Tom!
Today we thank Tom Brady. Because of his late fourth quarter play last night we won the football pool at the gym this week! That never happens! 50 big ones! (Not M or K even C, but $50.00.) Still, we’re moving to Vegas to set up a sports book. Maybe we’ll grow an untrustworthy-looking mustache when we get there!
[Great Antarctica photos in yesterday’s comments.]

Good morning everyone!
OFA, please don’t be offended by this bit of advice.
We would advise against the Vegas move since you have already said you don’t usually win. It’s like if it wasn’t for bad luck you might not have no luck. Yes we know it’s a double negative.
And speaking of Antarctica, keep those beautiful pictures coming.

Hi, friends! Speaking of yesterday’s pictures of WTAFP in Antarctica. We notice he is not wearing gloves in his picture. May be balmy there but still cold. Stay warm, please!
On the gambling note. I am absolutely the worst there is. People come home from Vegas saying they at least won enough to pay for the trip. Never my story😩

Icy conditions kept us from actual landings today but we continued to encounter incredible views and wildlife on zodiac cruises. We came across a leopard seal and her cub resting on an ice floe. Leopard seals are among the more predatory seals in Antarctica, so if you are a penguin, you need to beware.

Had some internet problems but here are more penguins. They are Adelie penguins which breed the furthest south in Antartica

And this is an Adelie colony that we saw today

BooBear’s mom noticed I wasn’t wearing gloves. It actually isn’t all that cold in terms of temperature (after all it is summer in Antarctica), although the wind or being on water in a zodiac is where a greater chill can occur. We have an evening zodiac ride tonight and that likely will be colder, although still with sunlight aplenty. Indeed one of the things were are encouraged to do, particularly for zodiac runs, is to slather on a lot of sunscreen because it is easy to get sunburned down here. Who knew?

WTAFP: Really enjoying your photos! What a great adventure to have, and I can’t get enough of the penguins! :^)
