Thanks, B. I think you’ll like the Greek-derived name of the tech company in the story.

I bet the name is Bellestarriswonderful!

Fires! I can report we here are safe for now. The Giant was on the glacier with part of the team when multiple fires broke out on Saturday. The Damn Pixie was at the kennel with 31 of us and Wee Nigel. The plan was to bring the rest of the team off the glacier inn Sunday so our truck and dog trailer were staged at the glacier 1.5ish hours away. We instituted plan b-e on Saturday thanks to our neighbors. That Damn Pixie took the first, second and third shifts for standing watch Saturday night for our property and our neighbors. Some fires broke out in the night but were quickly addressed. Shortly after that Damn Pixie arrived home on Sunday afternoon with the rest of the team—-AJ was still on the glacier—-things got serious very quick. A fire to the north of us had been holding at 150 acres. Then it jumped the highway. It would blaze to 2000 acres by Monday morning. They issued immediate evacuations to 13 miles north of us, and closed the highway a mile north of our road. That Damn Pixie is pretty calm in a crisis, in fact she’s about it at work, but she didn’t feel calm then. She was serious. As we all watched her frantically work, we knew she was serious. And she knew we knew she was serious. There is also another fire that is about 1800 acres 4ish miles to the west of us. Other smaller fires nearby have been addressed and are contained.

It has been a long few days and nights. We have been in evacuation prep mode. At this point all we would need to do is load dogs and hit the gas. I call shotgun!

This has been Belle Starr reporting neath Wee Nigel atop Ole Doc’s memory.

Thanks for the report Bellie. I know all the Plunderers have been very worrit about your kennel.
And since Rio can’t get dry cottage cheese and Hatch Green Chilies (we can get those here in North Dakota!!!) I figure he needs all the help with worrit that we can give him.

If there is a Natural Grocers in any town near Rio, well, that is where we find the Hatch chilies. I have never looked for dry cottage cheese though.
