Tail of Vengeance
“I understand President Obama will be announcing this later today,” Admin says, “but is is true that the new e-short story, coming July 8, will no longer be called The Teitelbaum Divorce?”
“Correct,” says Spence. “The new title is Tail of Vengeance.”
“And the reason?”
“It’s all part of the fun of publishing.”
“There is a lot of fun in it, isn’t there?”
“For the willing.”
Welcome Barkley.

AHA! A Tail of Vengeance. We Love It!
8:29 am on May 29th, 2014
I like the title.
Good morning all.
8:32 am on May 29th, 2014
Good morning BSD, HRH B and everyone! “Tail of Vengeance”? That is what Darah Thea has whenever she is near a table with something on it!
Not very awake yet so have a __________ Thursday.
8:35 am on May 29th, 2014
Yes, we love the title! We will stay tuned in for the press conference.
MPM, Hawks survive to play again after double overtime.
Must get ready for work now.
8:51 am on May 29th, 2014
Good morning, I hope. Still no known cause on our uncle’s extreme pain.
If I pre-ordered Teitelbaum Divorce, will I need to pre-order Tail of Vengeance?
Z-Man and Mama Meash went at it again today, but I broke it up. Yep! That fight was broken up by me me me!!!!
9:07 am on May 29th, 2014
Wonder if Amazon will change the title or leave as is?
Is this what Spence & Admin were running around like chickens with their “you know what” over?
Way to go, Kat!
9:29 am on May 29th, 2014
Howlers, Hope you get some answers today. Tell the Z Man to chill!
Off to the salt mines.
9:32 am on May 29th, 2014
Barb&Magpie: Are The Golden Retriever Mysteries the series you mentioned previously?
(Drat. I think we just missed you)
Hounds: A Tell-Tail Thursday?. Maybe Wose will have some Cool Suggestions.
9:41 am on May 29th, 2014
Amazon will be changing the title. If you’ve already ordered the story under the old title it will still arrive. No re-ordering! This is not some double-dipping scam by Spence! He’s not smart enough to manage a thing like that. – Admin
9:49 am on May 29th, 2014
Thanks Chet!
9:53 am on May 29th, 2014
Thanks, Chet. I would never worry about Spence double-dipping.
You, on the other hand…?
10:00 am on May 29th, 2014
Kat: Gulp. Forgot the Comma. I can see B and you frowning.
10:05 am on May 29th, 2014
No worries here, Bear.

Greetings!
A beautiful day here in Westchester!
Macy, That purple tomato is beautiful! Do you know if it taste any different from a red tomato?
MPM, Your feathers are lovely. And of course, anything the Royal Mum adds makes it extra special.
Welcome, Barkley! I see you are reading The More The Terrier. : )
Kat, you are incredible! Brains, brawn, and beauty! If you were a two-legged, you would be the young Lauren Bacall. Great job on keeping the peace.
Zeusikov, I thought you were doing well. I thought you knew that Meash is the leader of the pack. Please try harder.
Howlers Mom, sending strong prayers to your brother.
Staff, Sending pawsitive thoughts to you.
I love the the picture of Sadie with her ‘Lil Carrot.
RIO! Please check your SDD, quick as those little pug legs can carry you!
Everyone have a tremendous Thursday!

For me it is a Laundry Thursday. : )
10:36 am on May 29th, 2014
It’s me, me, me at the top! (along with a furry-face who is claiming to be “me again” also).
Hi, Rose! It’s always laundry day here. How can one person have so much? Let’s see…whites, colors, darks, delicates, sheets and towels…that’s five loads right there.
10:38 am on May 29th, 2014
…actually 6 because sheets & towels are usually separate.
10:40 am on May 29th, 2014
Thanks, Chet. Staff, hope you can get your bulge fixed. Those things hurt like the dickens 🙁 OH: pawrayers and crossed tails here. Wose, enjoy wrestling waundry.

10:48 am on May 29th, 2014
Hello Everyone–
Kat–Well done breaking up the skirmish.
Fern–Are you feeling a little calmer, having made it through the night? You are safe and loved.
Prayers and good thoughts for all who need them.
Have I mentioned how very much I enjoy dropping by this blog and finding NO whiny students, Assessment forms to complete without adequate information/instruction or other challenges? If so, it’s still true. If not, thanks for being who you are, EVERYONE.
10:52 am on May 29th, 2014
Diane, i am not afraid. I just refuse to root for the Hawks, like MPM and B&M are…
10:57 am on May 29th, 2014
Fern: I’ll bet Sammie doesn’t root for the Hawks either.
11:10 am on May 29th, 2014

Off to pack for the thow thith weekend.
11:12 am on May 29th, 2014
We here will not be able to comment on the taste of the ‘mater, as none of us partake in that fruity veg.
Morning, glories!
Zoos, hang head in shame.
11:25 am on May 29th, 2014
HEY! Not my fault. She was looking at me!
11:33 am on May 29th, 2014
Basil: Now THAT’s a tongue twister!

ML: “fruity veg”…we like it!

11:50 am on May 29th, 2014
I like the new title best.
Zeusikov, Stop being grumpy toward Meash.
Kat, Good Girl
Staff and the Howlers two-legged uncle…Healing Prayers.
12:03 pm on May 29th, 2014
Masquers,
Yeep! Six loads of laundry!!! I am way to lazy to separate clothes. Everything goes into the two washers in the laundry room, and then I keep my fingers crossed that nothing white comes out pink. : )
12:11 pm on May 29th, 2014
Zuuuuus, look the other way, you are the bigger man. (nobody tell him that he is the ONLY man). Or just give her a look right back, like Chet. No need for bad language and teeth.
12:13 pm on May 29th, 2014
Zeusikov, Macy is right. No need for World Federation Husky Wrestling matches.
12:31 pm on May 29th, 2014
Wose, Mom washes clothes the same way in order to conserve water.
I’m sure Bernie washes clothes the same way.
12:34 pm on May 29th, 2014
B: No Comma in my post to Chet at 9:49.
12:57 pm on May 29th, 2014
Ooooh!
A Tail of Vengeance! I seem to remember that a chain-saw was involved…but perhaps I have this story mixed up with another story.
Staff: Someone took their eyes off the hernia! Does it hurt?
O’Howlers: Yeeps! I hope they get rid of the infection, pronto. Prayers for quick recovery and no long term damage.
Admin: Typo Alert. The first “is” in your post above (the last word in the first line), should be an “it”.
1:31 pm on May 29th, 2014
Double!…Dipping!…snort!…Admin took the words right off my paw….chorkel!…Luckily, I have not pre-ordered – just in case Spence is smarter than we think…Naw!
1:39 pm on May 29th, 2014
Wose, color catchers are my friend. Laundry-wise.
Dawson, No the hernia doesn’t hurt. I do know to go in immediately if it starts to hurt. When I don’t wear my big girl tight panties it is uncomfortable but I wear those d**n panties so all is well.
Plans for potatoes to go in the garden today and if it doesn’t stay too hot and windy tomatoes will go in also.
Mr.Staff and I put the screen door insert in the bin and brought out the glass insert so we can keep the door open to let light in the kitchen. And give the kats a kitchen with a view. Then I put out some peanuts and sunflower seeds for the little red squirrel. Kat TV!
2:34 pm on May 29th, 2014
Staff, mom’s incision herniated just before the Alaska trip so she didn’t ride the sled. She was uncomfortable and bruised in Mass. Now she is repaired, still wearing a “binder” and limited to 10 lbs of lifting, hopefully to soon be 15 lbs. Quite a couple of years.
T&G, know your peeps are busy with the season beginning this weekend, but how is Golinka doing with the new insulin?
2:42 pm on May 29th, 2014
Ahhh. Another mystery solved.
2:47 pm on May 29th, 2014
Heh. Six loads? Youse didn’t really think that was the way we did laundry around here, did you? Light, dark, and sheets…the other scenario is someone’s pipe dream.
Alice & Abbie: It’s up to you two to make sure “your staff” is feeling cared for and letting her know how important she is too. Do this at every available opportunity.
Dawson: Good catch!
3:54 pm on May 29th, 2014
Dawson – what sharp little eyes you have, my dear.
Staff – don’t ignore the hernia – ignoring it is what put Gramp in the hospital for so long. (He is doing great these days – still not driving, thank dago, but he does some small lawn work, his laundry, and he can walk his puppy, much to Callie’s delight)
HOH – the new insulin is such a blessing. We had no idea how bad she was feeling, til she started feeling better.
Howlers – all paws crossed for an answer to that infection thingie. Sometimes not knowing is the worst part.
And now for the long story that we promised (unlike Chet, we actually do go back and tell the story)
Mama’s big brother has been diagnosed with lung cancer. It is big, and it is bad. She has been taking him for all the pre op tests, scans and biopsies. They biopsied the lymph nodes and tumor yesterday and final word on operability will be on Monday. If they can operate, it will be on Wednesday, and they will have to remove a lung.
Brother is having a very hard time with acceptance. Right now we have him staying here with us, so we can give him tummies to rub, and Mama can nag at him….um we mean, can assist him with taking his meds, and eating properly.
Have we mentioned lately that we HATE cancer?
4:05 pm on May 29th, 2014
T&G, We here HATE that nasty “C” word with a vengeance. Sending the strongest of prayers to Mum’s brother. Glad your Mum is feeling better with the new insulin.
4:19 pm on May 29th, 2014
Uncle Golinka’s Brother: The Quilt welcomes you. Cancer, on the other paw, can got to hell.
4:41 pm on May 29th, 2014
Tupper&Gilly: This is Not Fair! Not Fair at All.
Tenzing: You Said It!!!
Cancer: Go Directly to Hell. You Are Not Welcome around these parts. We have had it up to here with your carpola. You Are Evil.
Strong Prayers going out for the families of the Royals, O’Howlers and BooBear.
4:45 pm on May 29th, 2014
And, of course, positive thoughts and prayers for Staff too, and hugs, lots of hugs.
5:20 pm on May 29th, 2014
Ugh!…Now someone here is doing laundry…sniff!…I swear I did not make it….grunt!
5:42 pm on May 29th, 2014
Been a laundry day around here too but mom is too lazy to fold the last load so it can sit till tomorrow, so there! We’ve all been chatty today but no fotos so far…mmm? What can this mean?
6:08 pm on May 29th, 2014
A happy picture for the day.

6:10 pm on May 29th, 2014

6:31 pm on May 29th, 2014
Damn…a missed slurpptunity.
6:35 pm on May 29th, 2014
Butterfly Barb!
T&G I will not ignore the hernia. However being a transplant recipient makes it problematical about surgery. They prefer not to do it unless they really have to. Now the nephrologist says it might be too big to do surgery. hmmmm. Thinking maybe we will go to Mayo and get a second opinion if that is what they tell us.
CT scan tomorrow and consult next Thursday so we are on it…
6:36 pm on May 29th, 2014
OHH!…Here we go. I was going to announce that the Scripps National Spelling Bee is on tonight at 6:00pm on ESPN…snort!…At least it is on at 6:00pm here for me and SiberH…sniff!…The rest of youse will have to check your local listings…heh!…We here love the Spelling Bee. So this means someone is going to have to go on her long walk very soon and it is utterly hot outside….grunt!..I hope she does not pass-out out there….wuffle!
6:49 pm on May 29th, 2014
Rio: You were sitting right in front of Barb when that picture was taken. Heh, heh!
Golinka: You have had more than your share of experience in aiding those with the dread disease. Thank dog that a better medication has made you feel better.
6:50 pm on May 29th, 2014
T&G, we are with you. Oh how we hate that word and that disease and the misery it causes. Here’s to your Bro. Hope he finds it in him to accept, though we here would not accept either. Mom still didn’t accept Dima’s news for cripes sake.
Still no updates on our uncle. They are leaning toward viral infection but he must have a rheumatory consultation. He has a fever and not eating. Sob.
Thanks for the happy picture. It did our husky hearts good.
6:51 pm on May 29th, 2014
Hey!?
6:55 pm on May 29th, 2014
Dawson!…You have no valid proof of that. Unless you took a photo of the photo being taken…snort!snort!Heh!…It is a happy photo cause it made me laugh out loud…snort.
7:15 pm on May 29th, 2014

Please tell Staff to take a peek at her SDD when she is of a mind to.
8:48 pm on May 29th, 2014
We have heard way too much about cancer on this blog. Enough! Kick it to the curb once and for all!
Hope Howler’s and Amalia’s brothers are feeling better soon.
BSD or Masquers, We have not read the Golden Retriever Mysteries, but will check into them. Have you read them? The two series we have read involving Goldens are David Rosenfeldt’s books and the Donna Ball series with Raine Stockton.
8:55 pm on May 29th, 2014
When everybody who is watching Fargo gets caught up, could someone ‘splain how that fishy thing happened?
8:57 pm on May 29th, 2014
Staff (especially for you), England has no kidney bank, but it does have a Liverpool 🙂
9:15 pm on May 29th, 2014
Great photos and great attitudes on this blog! Love to all. (Or maybe our friend Rio has that covered.)
Staff, going to Mayo is a great idea. That’s where I am right now with Billy’s other buddy who is having his annual tune up. I remain impressed beyond belief after over 15 years.
9:18 pm on May 29th, 2014
Some nice pictures on the blog today, except that one with Barb in it. And the one with Spence and The Storyteller – wasn’t there someone else in the photo originally?
HOH, will you ever run out of those one liners?
Staff, Hope you get the hernia issue resolved without going all the way to Mayo.
9:27 pm on May 29th, 2014
Kisses!…I kissed anyone who gave me a buck on that vacation!…snort!snort!…slurrpy!burp!
9:29 pm on May 29th, 2014
Raining!…Softly and the National Spelling Bee is on….snort!…What is better than this?? Nuthin!….Woooo!
9:42 pm on May 29th, 2014
Amalia, we here are happy that you are feeling better. It would be a double curse if you had to deal with your brother’s illness while being ill yourself. Positive pawrayers from TX.
Mom went to the retirement party for Dad’s boss today. It made her sad. Then she went out to the car to leave and there was a note on her windshield telling her that she had a flat tire. Out of nowhere came the man who wrote the note. He was parked right beside the flat tire, AND had an air compressor in his car. Mom has friends in HIGH places. After getting some air in the tire she took it to the tire place and an hour and a half later she got her car back, tire fixed, no charge, and they said she did not need new tires right now. Yea!
We all need new tags, how about these? One in particular made me think of a certain pug.

9:44 pm on May 29th, 2014
Barb&Magpie: Have not started the series yet, but it Looks Good.
It’s early, but a Very Early morning appointment looms, so it’s time to sign off.
Catching up on Fargo then calling it a day.
Praying for some Good News on several fronts – Bear.
9:44 pm on May 29th, 2014

Then there is this.

9:55 pm on May 29th, 2014
Or this

9:56 pm on May 29th, 2014
Is everyone aware that sugarless gum can be fatal if a dog eats it? We just learned this. A small dog can die from eating 1 or 2 pieces. Do not let them get into a purse or pick up chewing gum on the street during a walk.
Xylitol, a sugarless sweetner, is the problem. It is in mints, candies, and some baked goods. It can cause seizures, liver failure etc. If a dog eats it, they need to be seen by a V*E*T immediately.
We were totally unaware of this.
9:58 pm on May 29th, 2014
Yikes, somebody tell Belle. She eats EVERYthing that is bad for dogs.
This is a better tag for Zoos.

10:08 pm on May 29th, 2014
We really love those tags, especially the gas tag. What a howl!
Checking out now, we think. Nighty night.
10:27 pm on May 29th, 2014
OH BELLE STARR…..a pygmy marmoset
10:28 pm on May 29th, 2014

HoHo!…I was relating to the “Bitches Love Me” tag…snort!snort!
Bee!…Double Champion this year!…Wow!Wow!….The Spelling Bee Rocks. That Dr.Bailey took to heart my hand-pawed letter requesting more humor in the Sentences and a plea for a reference to Breaking Bad…heh!heh!…He over-did the so-called humor bit, but he got the Breaking Bad reference squeeze in there just barely…chorkel!
10:48 pm on May 29th, 2014
Never mind Belle Starr – WE want one of those pygmy things.
They look delicious.
10:51 pm on May 29th, 2014
T&G {{{{sigh}}}} Cats have no impulse control. No they do not. I do not want to imagine you and a pygmy marmoset.
11:09 pm on May 29th, 2014
Dawgs!…But Tupper N Gilly are guys like me…snort!…Not ruthless Kats like Alice…grunt!
11:24 pm on May 29th, 2014
