Good morning BSD/Masquers, Staff, B&M&L and all (what a mouthful!). So much news yesterday. Barking and twirling about the upcoming nuptials. Also for So Cal rain and Staff’s road trip. Mom said “A gem” is the best possible review 🙂 Ever!
Oldest G son gets to TN at 11 o’clock TONIGHT! So much and we hear from ALR as well…life is good. Paws crossed that the K-9/feline wars are soon resolved at the Hobbit Hotel. SAS? WE are waiting 🙁
Have a warm and wanton (check to poetic def.) Wednesday!

    Where’d everybody go?
Miz Macy – if yur dance card ain’t already full, would consider going to that there wedding with this ole hound?

Miz Sadie – ah went back and looked up the pitures of Mr. Big. Ah think Ah might have to take back mah offer to come give him a talkin to. Mah lordy, that’s a big cat. Mebbe y’all just need to find a way to git along.

    I also like the review.

T&G: “…a diamond in the rough.” Very nice.

I am having trouble figuring out where to put the period when quotation marks are involved. Inside or outside the quotation?

Safe trips to all who are travelling. First class on a long flight sounds great.

I see a sliver of blue sky so I’m off to check the mail.

Before I go…sending ear scritches and kisses to Sadie. Know you are well-loved even though Mr. Big has the best spot on the sofa.

Dawson, as regards your question, depemds on if the speech is by you is talking or someone else is talking. GAH, like most of English…makes no sense.

That Damn Pixie who Stole my Sparkles hasn’t been able to read S&S, yet, but I know it must be good. It is a gem. Gems sparkle, so therefore…

Wose: Know that you are loved and never forget it.

Dawson: A period or comma always goes inside the quotation marks; a question mark or exclamation mark always goes outside the quotation marks unless either is part of the quotation.

Mom just checked David Rosenfelt’s website and it says he is supposed to be at the book signing tonight with SQ!! Any Andy Carpenter fans…new book just came out yesterday. But it also says that he and Spence will be at another rescue event at 6:30! Gasp, I hope they have enough time to sign and pawtograph books tonight!!!!!

    5:12 pm on July 22nd, 2015

Boobear, I just ordered the two new Rosenfelt books at the library: Lessons from Tara and Who Let The Dog Out. Who Let had 5 people on the list before me. “Lessons” was not one they had ordered, but they put in an order it at my request. His last Andy Carpenter, Hounded, was reqlly great.

    Calling all gardening experts:
When growing basil, what does one do to harvest some for a recipe?
    Pull off top leaves?
    Pull off bottom leaves?
    Cut a stalk?

Sage, watch out for Basil, especially if you mom has scissors! Basil our advice is RUN!

I pinched off the tops of my basil and then in a couple days they got way more!

  30. Barb, Maggie and Lucy
    8:45 pm on July 22nd, 2015

I use my basil before it starts to flower. If I just want some for seasoning, I pull off a few of the larger leaves and cut them in strips with scissors. I don’t use any stems, just the leaves.

Royals: My experience with lays is somewhat limited, but I can’t imagine that Basil would appreciate being pulled or cut. Call it a hunch.

Doc – we think Basil could do with a good trimming.
Look what it did for Mr. Big.

    10:24 pm on July 22nd, 2015

Hmmm!…Grunt!…I can finally express my pug opinions and nobody is around to get pissed off…sniff!…Somehow that makes all not so much fun or worth while…buffle!….So I am going to go watch MasterChef with my friend and call it a night. Unless someone shows up…sniffle!

  38. Riö - The Evil Pug
    10:28 pm on July 22nd, 2015

Etiquette!…A well-bred pug is altruistic and magnanimous …Snort!…with his favors, bestowing generous gifts of hair unto his home and unto his human.…Wait, hair?…Maybe fur, I don’t have hair…heh!heh!

  39. Tupper and Gilly
    10:37 pm on July 22nd, 2015

So Rio – are you saying that you are NOT a well-bred Pug?

Or that you substitute other attributes to the “magnanimous” label?

  40. Riö - The Evil Pug
    10:40 pm on July 22nd, 2015

Say!….I’m not saying nuthing…heh!heh!…I just had to Snort! it means nothing really…heh!heh!
