Welcome Winky; Abby from Alaska. Cannonballer please retry.

Here they, Winky on top, then Abby.

Winky - a big fan of Chet and BernieI\'m Abby; love to chase balls & squirrels & an occassional moose, but that\'s a story for another time. Did I say I live in Alaska? I do; it\'s great to run up mountains.

Bernie bet on the Super Bowl. (Did both teams lose?)

Power Outage? Obviously, I need to go back and read last night’s comments.

Supper Bowl? Do ravens count as twenty four blackbirds? Did they get baked? So far I haven’t heard a thing about it. (isn’t that nice)

Snizzling here. Sun and snow drizzle. Very pretty. Also means it’s wicked cold. Zoë had her PT evaluation this morning (before I finished with my coco). No more knee brace! Going to see if YSAS wants it.

Yesterday I spent asleep and I hate to say it, but that might continue for awhile.

The Tustumena 200 site has Philip Walters unofficially in 20th place. Not bad at all and if it becomes official there is a $100. gas card prize! The main thing is that all the dogs are ok and the bonus is they got some more experience. (But who is the dropped dog and why?)

Lance Mackey dropped 4 dogs! I’d say he is out of the top 10 for the Yukon Quest…then again…it is Lance Mackey.

The team should be home shortly from the race. The Giant has been driving the team back on a trailer on icy roads so he is going slow. Quig, Twig and Marco were dropped for sore shoulders and Lefty was dropped because he developed a cough. Lefty doesn’t know it, but he has a trip to the VET in the near future.

My Two-legged stayed home today because she is sick, sick, sick. She’s had a fever off and on all weekend and last night broke out in some sort of rash up and down her neck. Jodi, the person not the puppy thinks it might be a result of the fever. The rash has reduced today to only two bumps today.

I have it on good authority (someone I knew who told his younger brother this old family secret and then got in trouble for telling him the recipe) that you slather peanut butter on the rash and then let it dry. Hey everybody, Barb here. Managed to get the blog up, but not sure how long it will last. Busy day here at rehab. So far, 4 hours on the knee machine, 2 hours of P.T. and 1/2 hour of O.T. Last night they put me back on the blasted CPM (knee) from 10-11:00 p.m. They are short staffed tonight, and won’t have any techs here from 9:00 till 11:30, so maybe I can stay under the radar. Enough is enough!
Watched the game last night. Looked like it might be boring at the end of the first half, but sure didn’t turn out that way. Really enjoyed the half time entertainment too.
I’ll see if I can post this and still stay on. May BBL.

    Dateline: New Orleans, LA – Feb.4, 2013

Today, even as the Super Bowl banners come down and the confetti is swept into piles, local police are scratching their heads over an usual crime wave that hit the city yesterday. Being dubbed “The Big Teasey” by local wags, police were kept on the run, following a spree of practical jokes and pranks.

Although officially the reason for the stadium blackout is being listed as “unknown” sources inside the NOPD have hinted that someone was able to breach the high security levels of the stadium and get to the master control panel, flipping the breaker and removing the master fuse. The lights stayed out until police managed to find the one hardware store open in the city on Super Bowl Sunday, and purchased a new fuse. With sirens and lights flashing, they returned to the stadium, installed the fuse and got the game back in play moments before being called to the scene of a bayou bridge, where locals reported a late model red Porsche speeding down the side roads and “launching” over the bridge, landing well clear of the other side.

During this investigation, officers were dispatched back to the stadium. There, post game players filed reports of missing underwear. Each team accused the other of the thefts, until detectives found a clear set of footprints in some talcum powder residue. Baffled police state that the prints are of stiletto style high heels, but the pattern of the prints lead police to believe that there were two perpetrators, walking in directly in front and back of each other. Based on the prints, both wore the same size heels, were the same height and weight, and had the same stride.

Detectives at the scene were able to recover the missing underwear, however the players declined to use it for unspecified reasons.

The only possible witness, a distinguished looking silver-haired woman who was walking her dog in the area did not wish to be identified, but stated that she had seen some “nefarious looking characters” in the area.

Police were kept busy for the rest of the day, responding to calls about the American flags at the post office and city hall being replaced with pictures of bow-tied Pugs, and a large quilt with “Go Snowhook” embroidered across the front. There were numerous complaints from local restaurants about missing supplies of Bananas Foster, and bottles of Cahors wine.

A red Porsche was seen late this morning, heading north out of town at a very high rate of speed. Powdery dust trailing from the car proved to be confectioners sugar, most likely from a stash of beignets reportedly pilfered from the French Quarter. Police declined to give chase. “Good riddance” they said. Hopefully everything will calm down now, and we can get back to being the Big EASY”.

Hi Barb! Stay with it. The more you do, the faster we can break you out of there.

Now I have to go looking for tha Pack. Mattie read Macy’s comment, and they stormed out the front door barking, “Free chicken for all!” It seems they have gotten the four bulldogs, three beardies, an the golden involved in the chase. They have been going up and down the street and have managed to scare up some wild turkeys. The turkeys have flown up in the trees in the middle of our village and making a racket. Guess who has to calm everything down?
